My baby girl, Hope, loves this toy! So far its the only thing that has held her interest. The toy we received did not have a feather, but had a furry toy at the end. I imagine they fixed the toy from the feather problem with the new end. It is a definite improvement.It is a little noisy-this is not a problem for us though. We enjoy watching her pounce and play. Especially when it switches directions and she has to figure out where it went. When she finally catches it she likes to lick it like she is grooming it. This is fairly new to her so I will have to do an update when she has it for awhile. But, so far so good.Great toy for the money!***********It has been 2 months and it is still her favorite toy! She hears it when I switch it on and comes running! The toy is still in great shape- no rips or broken pieces and she really flips this thing upside down and attacks the material- all is still good!**********3 years later and Hope is now bored with it. I put it away for months and bring out every once in awhile. She will seem interested for a tad bit immediately when I put it out, but that is it! It was definitely worth what we paid.

I have two cats, a brother and sister. The boy could not care less about this toy, but the girl cannot get enough of it. She wants it on all the time. I was going through batteries so fast I ended up connecting a USB cable so I could plug it into a USB charger and leave it running. I zip-tied the toy to a cheap door mat from the dollar store and ran the cable though a hole underneath. The girl goes bonkers for this thing.

We share our home with 8 cats all older than 12 years old and many with chronic illnesses. Exercise is important for these indoor cats. This is the first automated cat toy I have ordered (and I have ordered many!) any of the cats will play with. One cat has learned how to turn the toy on— to the delight of the others, but costing us some sleep. Our Maine Coon, Priscilla is enthralled with the toy and will play with it for 10 to 15 minutes. As a big cat she has stopped the motion of the wand with her paws, she has pounced on the toy and covered it with her entire body and she has actually pulled the wand out (an easy fix to put back). Several of the cats who are both old and slow prefer to play with the toy when it is off, taking turns jumping at the feathered “prey”. Although the toy is sturdy, it can be moved across the floor so some of the cats like to position it under a chair which gives them an advantage when “catching the prey. We have had the toy for a few weeks now and the cats still love it! Anyone who shares their home with cats will love this toy!

The media could not be loaded. I originally purchased this August 30, 2020. It worked until Sept 6, 2021. And I’m amazed it even lasted that long because both my cats beat on this thing. They love to hold onto the feathers preventing it from being able to swing. It makes clicking noises as it tries to get free of their grip. And they always get the wand separated from the base and I attach it back on. I’m very happy with this toy, and so are my cats. The younger one- the grey tabby, took a while to get used to the loud noise it makes ( I got used to it) and started to play rough with it just like my older cat.I bought this after researching many different toys. My cats both meow late at night and hunt for my hair ties. They carry them around the house as if they were nice. I read about why do cats meow very loud at night and one theory is “boredom”.So that’s why I got this. My cats are pretty lazy. They always have to be next to me wherever I’m at. I’m borderline agoraphobic, so I’m always home. They are the best, most cuddly, lovey cats :) so I try to keep them happy and probably spoil them.I see in the reviews that some ppl aren’t happy with it, that their cats ignore it, and my advice is to keep turning it on, because it took little Tee (my tabby) about 2 months to get into it- and boy does she love it! I’m very pleased because she’s very cautious and scared of a lot of things. If I have ppl over she hides until they leave. She gets nervous about new things I buy. But I’m so glad that she finally got the nerve up to play with this toy! My other cat- mamagrrr (yes mamagrrr that’s no typo) took to it immediately. She’s very tough on it. I’m surprised it lasted a year! For 12$ that’s a great deal!I’m hoping this new one lasts as long as the first one. In the video I uploaded little Tee joins in at the end.Hope your kitties love it just as much as mine!

The media could not be loaded. My cats love this thing. It seems like a few different companies manufacture these type of toys. I’ve probably had 3-4 different ones. The problem is always with the metal stem that comes out of the motor top. It was about 4″ long and after time it would bend and sometimes break.The picture does not represent what I got in my package. (the long metal stem coming out of the motor)I WAS VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED when I opened the box and the stem had been shortened and reinforced. It’s much sturdier now and even has THREADS on it to attach the wand! Tighten the wand all the way and then back it off to just loose (wand will hang in a rainbow shape out from the base) and the action you get is UNCANNY! Plus it can’t fall off because of the threads. (eventually if it spins enough during play it may)To my cats this toy is worth every penny it costs (me) and with the serious upgrades I see with this unit I am more than pleased. We’ll now let the product testers have their say. So far so good, I’m hoping for the best!Because my cats love this toy so much and the obvious upgrades for longevity I’m giving this toy 5 stars now but will update when necessary.

The media could not be loaded. I posted a video of my 18 year old cat going to town on this thing. I was so surprised because she’s so arthritic. I actually bought it for my younger cat who used to love to play with that rat tail toy that spins under a mat. That is until she broke it. I thought this would last longer because it has less moving parts, but she wants nothing to do with it. That’s pretty normal for her, though. She’s a snobby jerk. I think the toy is really cute, and well made. I’m not sure how long the feather would stand up to a vicious attack, but I think a playful cat could get a good amount of fun out of it.

My 4 year old cat loves this thing. She doesn’t care about the lights at all but the movement keeps her entertained for a solid hour, which is forever in kitty play time. As others have said the biggest drawback is the battery life seems to be very low. On my second set after a week and that already seems sluggish. Works better on hardwood than carpet as the arm isn’t dragging on the ground. Makes noise but not enough to deter my cat who has never touched another noisy toy. Maybe the best toy I’ve ever bought her.

The third of this type of toy, but by far the best one. The fur tassel is on a ‘string’ and not just a clump on a stick so it has more movement and the flexibility means the cat can not tear it by pushing paws against it to rip the fur. It also has random movements with pauses of stops where the other ones I’ve had would keep going even though movement could be random. I don’t think the lights flashing do much but since I’m not a cat, perhaps they do. I am also pleased with how long the batteries last. The best, however, is how much the cats like it so much they pester me to turn it on several times in a day. One cat runs to it the minute I emerge from my overnight slumber. For all the money I have spent on cat toys this has been by far the biggest success.

The media could not be loaded. My 12 week old Siamese seems like she can play 20 hours a day and still want more, so I figured that I would give this affordably priced toy a try. I put in the batteries, attached the wand, pushed the button, and my cat had some fun.All told, if you are looking for a reasonably priced automatic toy that cats enjoy, an don’t mind having to get up every few minutes to move it, and giving your cat the occasional “win” during her play session, this is a great option.pros:-my cat likes it-reasonably priced-moves around on its own-isn’t especially loud-uses normal batteries (AA)-the round shape and internal motor help it to stand up to being pounced on and batted.Cons:-the movement is random, so it can sometimes wander where you don’t want it to or get stuck-like most automated toys, it is a bit frustrating, so after a bit you’ll want to give your kitty a “win.”-between the frustration factor, and the fact that cats sometimes eat feathers, this is definitely a supervised use toy-the feathers on the end fo the wand will wear out and look like they’d be a pain to replace.

I dont often give five stars, but my kitty LOVES this toy. He never seems to get bored with it. When you turn it on you can choose from two speeds. The furry “critter” will make complete circles, half circles, small movements then will pause and change direction from time time as well as light up. Sometimes he attacks it, sometimes he sits and watches it. He has played with it pretty much daily since Christmas and waits rather inpatiently every morning for me to turn it on for his morning play time. Havent changed batteries yet, and he isnt exactly gentle with it so its pretty sturdy.
