This tripod does everything easily. Plus it’s super well built, small, and light weight considering the quality. Easily holds my camera upside down for the low-to-the-ground shots, and also quickly becomes a monopod. What’s not to like? They’ve really constructed a terrific tripod here.

After an hour or two photowalk, the moment I remove my 70-200GM lens, I notice the rubber on the arca plate is peeling off. Also, the extended height would make it wobbly, even the wind of a passing car would make you hold your camera. Scary. But its weight is almost effortless to carry around.

I have carbon fiber leg/magnesium head tripods from the well known traditional brands that are many times more expensive than this 5CX – and do NOT perform any better! My expectations were low considering the price and weight. It greatly exceeds all my expectations. From reading other reviews of the 5C ball head it seems that the one included with the 5CX (B-00K) is a huge improvement. My only minor gripe is that the included arca-swiss plate requires an (included) allen wrench to attach to a camera. But good news is that other area-swiss compatible plates that don’t require a tool to attach work just fine with this head.Perfect travel gear for use with low weight mirrorless cameras and moderate weight lens. It will be the only tripod going with me on most trips from now on.

Excellent travel Tripod. Lightweight and portable.

This tripod is pretty surprising for the price. The head does not have a quick release plate (there is a knob to clamp the plate)but the pan is butter smooth, and the head is as well built as you could hope for. The ball joint did just fine with a 300mm zoom on adapter on my gx8 at 7.5″ when extended. I have not used it in rough winds yet but seems like this tripod is OK for Micro 4/3. I might be worried with APSC or bigger, or lenses over 2lb or 10″. You may want something more heavy duty. But if you’ve got a smaller camera, or lights, or whatever, this tripod is a great value, under 2lb weight, and very compact.

It makes the different in weight between a carbon fiber and aluminum tripod. The size is easy to fit in a backpack and carryon bag.
