I woke up this morning and thought to my self, “Gee, I’ve always wanted to review toilet paper.”, so I am giving it a shot on Amazon.I am not one for toilet paper that tears easily, that leaves little fuzzies in places that shouldn’t have fuzzies, or TP that doesn’t clean what it’s supposed to clean. I don’t want scents or colors, I want something abrasive (but not like paper or sandpaper abrasive).This does the trick. It’s thin, so if you don’t want a messy accident, I’d suggest using a few more squares than you typically use.Also, why do some people wipe standing up? I never figured out why some do that.

Yay… I’ve finally been able to get a multi pack of my must-have Scott 1000, after months of doing without. Not doing without toilet paper altogether, thank goodness; just having to use other brands during COVID19 shortages. And as everyone else has, whatever brand and however many rolls I could get at the time. But Scott 1000 is the best and I’ve missed it :) I do NOT get the need for cushy super soft super thick multi-ply ‘comfort’ rolls that look big but last like one day and absorb so much water that they puff up and clog the toilet (yes, at home I’m an ‘if it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down’ person). Give me Scott 1000 any and every day. As Dwight Schrute said, which I sort of think about people who need multi-ply cushy comfort TP: “Are you that bad at going to the bathroom?” Yes, he was talking about soap, but it was in the discussion with Pam where he was separating the multi ply into one ply. :) Anyway, so happy to have Scott 1000 back for now, and my 32 rolls will last like 3x as long as the other brands.

And nothing beats Scotts. It’s 1 ply, but it IS AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE. I grew up in a Charmin house hold. I was used to wiping my butt with clouds. But when I became an adult, I decided 3 ply was just too damn expensive for my family of 6. I tried a but of butt wipe. The cheap green stuff from sam’s club even, that stuff is like rough sand paper. Scotts is amazing, it’s soft, but it’s single ply, and an amazing price. One roll keeps my kids wiping for weeks. I’m saving money and feeling like a boss.

Scott has been used my entire life because my mother knew high quality. She told me we only have one body and take best care of yourself. Scott toilet paper was the best in 1962 and it is still the best quality plus best value in 2019. The price ordering online through Amazon saves about 20 cents per roll, plus wear and treat on me…I love not having to haul a 12 to 24 package of Scott TP in my cart, up 2 flights into my home. It’s delivered 2 days after I order online and my husband carries the case updates for me and 1 roll Scott TP last 2 healthy adults 1 roll/week, add long as no unexpected GI aches happen. Then it’s around 1 1/2 rolls pet well at only 79 cents per 1000 sheets, double ply!!

I might just be lucky. I have never been very picky when it comes to toilet paper. I grew up using stuff like this brand and then eventually this brand because my parents preferred it.I don’t know what possessed me to read the reviews since I’m familiar with this brand and like it. But after reading the reviews I didn’t know that some people have extremely sensitive skin back there.Scott tissue is definitely not soft, but the one ply is thin enough that it won’t do any damage to your sensitive areas. Unless you are extremely sensitive.The one ply is also not great if your looking at use per squares, doesn’t absorb too much. You will definitely use more than 2-3 ply rolls. It does however break down more easily in water and will be less likely to cause a clog up in your toilet. The plunger in my bathroom is purely decorative.My husband and I use a little less than 1 roll per week and I drink a lot of water so I feel I use a lot and 1 roll per week is still enough.

Thin, lightweight, single ply. If you don’t want your toilet clogged, use this. It is NOT soft and fluffy and does not create a small pile of lint on the floor underneath the TP holder. I don’t know why people complain about this paper? I grab enough of it until I have a wad in my hand that feels like it will be enough. I recently filled my toilet with this paper so I could test out a new plunger. I could NOT clog the toilet and I used tons of it and was really trying to create a clog. I was not able to test the plunger. The entire bowl looked like I used almost an entire roll. If you do that with fluffy papers, you will absolutely have a clog. Being this is single ply, the paper starts to disintegrate as soon as it hits the water, so no clog. This should be sold by weight so people could make a fair comparison to any other paper they are using or considering. All TP’s have different sized sheets and plys. The only thing left is the weight of the roll to make a comparison, at least for price. In my small household of 2, one roll will last 1-2 weeks. Each full roll weighs anywhere from 5.7 – 6 ozs. after weighing about 10 rolls, most are 5.9Some people will receive an embossed paper with an imprinted pattern and others are flat white paper. I called the MFR about this and I was told they are both genuine Scott products. Depending on which factory made them, some will be embossed and others flat. If you are purchasing from Amazon as the SELLER and not a 3rd party, this is GENUINE and not “fake.” I am so tired of reviews claiming products are “fake.”

We’ve been buying this product for about 50-years and I’m not sure when the changes began but it’s been over the past few years and we have purchased it many times from Amazon in varying package sizes. I could deal with it getting a bit thinner but when the sheet width was cut from 4.5-inches down to 4-inches my review goes down from the an original 5-stars to 4-stars. I’m tired of hearing there’s no inflation yet packaging sizes dramatically decrease and/or products get reduced significantly. When the standard size of a chip bag goes from 15-ounces down to 8-ounces yet the price stays the about the same that’s either inflation or ripping me off. In this case Scott ripped off a 1/2-inch of paper from 1000-sheets and the price stayed the same. Disappointed but not looking for alternatives… it’s still worth it and it’s yet another item that gets a good discount. However, I do like the paper because it still has 1,000 sheets and degrades easily in the septic system so that’s why I’m still purchasing it despite my review. If your bum needs a lot of softness and a thick buffer between it and your hand this is not a recommended product. However, if you want to be kinder to the septic system and get a decent bang for the buck (1-roll lasts 2-adults about a week) then I’d still recommend it. this purchase came out to about 84-cents per roll but we only food shop once a month because it’s 40-miles away, masks are required and they rarely have this product so Subscribe & Save with free delivery to my door is a viable option and the convenience pushes it back up to 5-stars.

I’ve been using this tissue for over 30 years in my household. For the price and having 1000 sheets per roll, this is a product that is both economical and very good quality. It does what it states it is to do. It is also great for septic tank systems.Other products talk about being solft but only have 250 to 300 tissue per roll even though they are two ply, this may not work for large households or if you you use alot of tissue.
