Husband have you slaving in the kitchen! Can’t come relax until you’ve cleaned it all! Then this 9 count sponge set is the one for you! You can scrub until your knuckles bleed with these bad boys! Or if you are just the type that doesn’t like stinky sponges this is a great buy. I have kids and a husband that can’t seem to ring out the sponge when they are done using it so needless to say they get stinky faster than normal. It’s true you can put them in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds to kill the bacteria but sometime a new sponge just feels good and when you have 9 who cares!

Seriously – everybody knows what these things are and how they do. But, just in case you’ve been living in Downton Abbey or otherwise have people who wash all your dishes and pans, I’ll tell you.Scotch Brite Non-Scratch Scrub Sponges are the best you can get for non-stick cookware (Teflon and other non-stick surfaces). The scrubby side scrubs hard without scratching the surfaces. Meanwhile, the sponge side is great for glass, plates, Tupperware, utensils, and everything else. For aluminum, steel, copper, and other metals, you’ll want something different – maybe Brillo pads or not-Non-Scratch scrubbers. The only problem with them is that the scrubby side separates from the sponge side after a bit, and then these are a bit of a pain to use. On the other hand, that’s probably about the time you want to throw it away and get a new one anyway. Because, you know, once you’ve been washing dishes, bacteria and stuff start growing in them, so… yeah. That’s long enough. And that’s why these come in a multi-pack.These are the bomb. Use them.

Scotch-Brite is my go-to scrubber. It works great to help get that stuck on grime off my dishes without the worry of leaving scratches. The fact that it is scrubby on one side and a sponge on the other means I can use it to wash my whole sink of dishes. It works well to clean all types of dishes from silverware to plates/glasses to pots and pans. There is no odd smell to it and leaves my dishes clean. The longevity of the sponge depends on what you are using it for. If I use it on a lot of greasy pots and pans that require extra scrubbing then it tends to wear out quicker. The sponge rinses out well after I am finished with the dishes.

these work great and are very durable.they are two sided: one side is soft and spongy and the other side is a little firmer for scrubbing stuff.these are the non-scratch ones and will be gentle on your pots/pans/dishes.i also have a pack of the green ones, which do scratch, for some of the tougher jobs, but i find that the blue ones work for 95% of the cleaning you will do.these are very durable so a 9 pack will last you a long time.Highly recommended!

I have been using Scotch Brite sponges for as long as I can remember. I love the non scratch sponges the best among all of Scotch Brite’s varieties of sponges. I have tried other brands including generic store brands and nothing cleans as well as a Scotch Brite sponge.Scotch Brite sponges have a soft sponge on one side and a scrubbing surface on the other side. The sponges measure 4.4″ x 2.5″ x 0.8″. 9 sponges in a pack. The scrubbing side of the sponge is made out of 100% recycled content. The recycled content does not affect the performance in any way, shape, or form.I have found these sponges to be extremely long lasting. I will use the same sponges in my household for one month. I wash them with Dawn original dish soap after each use and sterilize them in the microwave once a week.To sterilize a sponge I use my microwave. I get the sponge damp and put it in the microwave on high for 2 minutes, let it cool for 15 minutes, and then remove it from the microwave. You can also clean your sponge in the dishwasher at any temp over 155 degrees Fahrenheit and a heated dry cycle.Sterilizing the sponge and keeping it clean makes the Scotch Brite sponge clean like it’s brand new each time I use it. What I love about these sponges is when I’m cleaning with them the material doesn’t fall apart, shred, or leave behind pieces like other brands of sponges do.I use multiple sponges throughout my house. In the kitchen I have one that I use on the stove and countertops and another that I use when washing dishes, cutting boards, and the like. In the bathroom I have one for the bath tub and shower, one for the toilet, and one for the countertops. These sponges hold up really well over time. I clean primarily with white vinegar in my household and some sponges breakdown under the acid. That is not the case with Scotch Brite sponges. They do not have any problems with the vinegar. The vinegar keeps the sponge from stinking as well.I use these sponges on the non scrubbing side for our countertops which are made of granite. I feel confident that these sponges won’t scratch the surface, and I’ve been using these sponges for five years since the countertops were installed and the sponges have never left behind scratches. While doing dishes I can use a sponge to clean the inside of a seasoned cast iron pan and it won’t take the seasoning off unlike other brands of scrubber sponges. The scrubber side is great for removing burnt on food from our stainless steel cookware and it does not leave scratches behind. In the summer time I cut these sponges in half and stack three cut sponges together to form a sponge ball by putting a zip tie around the middle. You then have a safe ball to throw around that holds a lot of water and is a great way to keep cool.I have also used these sponges in the freezer to make wet ice packs. I soak the sponge, put it in a zipper style plastic bag and let it freeze completely. The sponge gets a layer of ice on it, and then you can use it as an ice pack. The water is absorbed by the sponge so it doesn’t drip or leak while it melts.I used to use these sponges in my pre-kindergarten classroom on painting days. I would use a stencil to cut out basic shapes (hearts, stars, moons, squares, and circles) and then cut the shapes out. The kids could then dip the sponge shape into paint and press it down on their paper.I’ve even used Scotch Brite sponges to seal envelopes when mailing Christmas and birthday cards. It definitely beats the taste of licking envelopes. Of course you use the non scrubbing side for this purpose.Scotch Brite sponges are reliable, do not scratch surfaces, are affordable, and easy to find in stores. I have never found a sponge brand that out performs Scotch Brite.

This is my favorite brand of cleaning sponges I use in the kitchen. I’ve tried other brands and this one holds up the best and lasts the longest. It actually lasts longer than it should because really you should change out the sponge regularly due to the bacteria build up in them and if you are all the time washing dishes with an old sponge I can imagine that isn’t the most sanitary thing. We use one of these at least 3 to 4 weeks (again maybe too long), but they do a great job and the cost is pretty good considering the quality. These sponges will come slightly damp. I think this is done to condition them, but have never got a package that smelled moldy or nasty like others say. I will continue using these sponges and do recommend them over other national brands used. The green and yellow sponge brand barely can hold itself together for about a week before it falls apart, but this one does great.

I don’t know what’s more pathetic, me taking the time to write this, or you needing to read it. How much server space is being built out to house all the useless bits of information (see what I did there?) that we “share” online these days. I’m old as F, so I’m pulling that card on you damn kids with your emoji-tionless virtuality. Get off your phone and go visit your mother before it’s too late. Take a sponge and give it to her and tell her you love her, it will be weird and awkward and hard to explain, just like you always were for her.

This is pretty much all I use with dishes.. I also have a more abrasive sponge that needs to be used from time to time, but I find that this sponge is usually the perfect gentleness/roughness for washing dishes by hand. It’s always an exciting day when I can pull out a new sponge from the Scotch-Brite sponge bag and throw away the old one. The sponge reaches a golden age after it’s been worn in enough that it’s not so rough on my hand, but it’s still super effective…. that’s the best times. But eventually, all sponges pass their prime.. and thus the cycle begins anew.It would be nice to have a dishwasher, but these sponges are less expensive and more fun!

I have been using these for 30 years+. Overall they are the best period. Have tried many, many others sometimes they are OK, mostly they aren’t. These are cellulose. The important thing is sponges need to be made of cellulose which I expect is more expensive than other types of foam/plastic. Cellulose is by far the best & outlasts other materials but huge amounts. Even superior to real sea sponges for scrubbing, natural is nice but frightfully expensive. The abrasive material is superb & usually stays stuck on perfectly. The scratch potential is low on hard surfaces. This 9 pack seems equal to the 6 pack but I would guess are from a different factory/source; Texture holes seems smaller. These start a bit stiffer but get softer with use. Overall vastly superior to ALL others.

I was raised using “dish rags” (yeah, I’m old!), like wash cloths, but only for washing dishes, not bodies. While I was visiting some friends a few years ago I wanted to help out & volunteered to wash dishes. They used this kind of sponge, Scotch Brite non-scratch scrub sponges. I was hesitant at first thinking it was going stink or get moldy in no time. But to my surprise there was no smell at all when taking it out of the package. I got it wet & put one pump of dish soap in the center of the sponge side & squished it a bit to get the whole sponge soapy. The slight S shape of the sponge is key; making it very comfortable to hold no matter what you’re cleaning. The reverse side has a gentle scrubber which can be used on non-stick cookware without scratching it at all. Washing dishes this way, without a sink full of soapy water, saves gallons of water & lots of time. Since then I’ve exclusively been using this particular brand & shape of sponge. The BLUE ones! I keep one in the kitchen for dishes, countertops & the inside & outside of the refrigerator, & one in the bathroom for the sink & tub. As long as I rinse them out well & set them to dry in a shallow soap dish on the kitchen & bathroom counters, they dry quickly & don’t have any smell. I buy the big package of 9 sponges for $6.74 which comes out to only 75 cents each. I’d say each kitchen sponge lasts a good 2 to 3 weeks. When I have enough dishes to use the dishwasher, the sponge goes on the top rack for thorough cleaning & disinfecting with the extremely hot water & its good as new. Don’t put it in the microwave to clean; you’ll ruin it. I have to say I’m utterly shocked as the photos sent with some other (bad) reviews. I’ve never had a sponge break off from the scrubbing side, never had them so filthy as in the pictures, never had them crumble apart, or any of the other nasty stuff shown in those photos. My guess is that they were used improperly (for heavy duty work like floor scrubbing or cleaning ovens…these are not designed for that type of use), for too long & never cleaned. I also saw complaints that the new sponges were “wet” when the package was opened. All good quality sponges are supposed to be just the slightest bit damp when new, or else by the time you get them they’d be dry & brittle, misshapen & cracked…the dampness is not a fault or anything to complain about. I HIGHLY & sincerely recommend these wonderful, very affordable sponges! My guests are so impressed with them I’m always giving out one for them to take home to try! I’ll never go back to old dish rags.
