I was actually very impressed with the camera/cellphone tripod. Only paying around 40 bucks I was not expecting much. It was received within two days of ordering using prime. When I opened it I was very impressed with how Ridgid and soild the whole thing felt, then the versatility is on par as well. I shoot with both cell and camera and found it to be perfect for it as well as a super secure cell mount that came with the tripod. Thank you Regetek for one of my most satisfying purchases yet on Amazon.

A non-professional photographer friend of mine bought this tripod and, since my much more expensive professional brand was recently stolen, I thought I would try it. I don’t often use a tripod in my work, shooting news, sports, and features for a local newspaper. Here is what I have found about the Regetek: it is sturdy, easy to use, easy to carry, and easy to set up and tear down. It’s a little heavy for long treks, but I am not a nature or wildlife photographer. I recommend this tripod for amateur and some professionals.

This is a good low cost tripod. If you are a professional and demand the $300 tripods, this isn’t the unit for you. If you are a hobbiest or a person who wants a tripod to get that shot, have a monopod for when you need something small and want a low light of long lens shot – this is a great buy. It is light weight – but not flimsy. The rubber foot pads swivel easily to get you a firm footing, the leg locks are plastic, but sturdy enough and easy to use. The aluminum tubes are sturdy and should last pretty well. The foldable handle to help you carry the tripod is a great touch. I’ve broken some of the fixed plastic handles on other tripods. The three supports that join the legs to the center channel are thin metal with an aluminum rivet. It’s the reason I marked it down to a 4 in durability. I’ve had other tripods with the same construction for those supports and broken several of them. We have high school aged kids use the tripods and they seem to find a way to rip the thin supports off. I am not expecting a problem with these (checked all the rivets and they are well rounded and completely cover the ends so I don’t see a workmanship problem waiting to happen, but my previous experience tells me it can.The head is plastic, not fluid filled, but very smooth on this tripod. Used it with small video cameras, DSLR camera, go-pro and iPhone (the phone adapter was included – nice touch) and had no problems at all. The action is smooth enough and the cameras did not wobble or waver in the path as I was panning them. The knobs are plastic and large enough to grasp easily. The bonus is the monopod in the removable center post. You keep your same head, but now have an easily transportable small monopod to use on the ground or if you are so inclined, selfy shots to get a better angle and perspective.Final thoughts – I would buy another (and probably will when one of my other tripod models “breaks”).

I have a Canon video camera that I use when videotaping forums. Here is what I found.1) As others have reported, the swivel head was a little loose . It took me about five seconds to grasp the center column with one hand and twist the head on tightly (another one-eighth turn) with the other. Now there is no looseness whatsoever.2) Horizontal rotation (panning) seemed a little jerky at first. I unscrewed the panning lock knob, put in a couple of drops of oil, replaced the knob, and panned around and around several times. Problem solved.3) Vertical panning was smooth right from the get-go.4) Quick release worked just fine right from the start. Some other tripods have a release lever that cocks open and springs closed; this one has a lever that you pull open and push closed instead. Added: One note. Once you’ve secured the quick release base plate to the camera, make sure that securing screw’s twist knob is laid flat.5) The center column (elevator) adjusts by tightening/loosening a knob instead of having a crank. I personally prefer this.6) The center brace (three bars from the censer column, one to each leg) has a ‘locking circle’ that lets you lock the legs at less than their full spread. I haven’t used this yet, but it would be really handy when I’m working in a confined floor space.7) The legs are each three segments instead of just two. This means that the tripod, when folded up, is shorter by several inches than the one I had been using – much more convenient for carrying around. All in all this appears to be a much better tripod than the one I purchased last year – and at half the price.

I was a little hesitant to order this because I have not heard of the brand before. The other positive reviews were able to convince me and they were not wrong. This is a great value for the money and is exactly what I needed as other tripods only went up to 61″ and I needed one as tall as me for when I film myself for auditions. It is very lightweight which can be a pro as it is very easy to move around but a little bit of a con as just a gentle tap could cause it to move after you’ve set up the perfect angle. Nevertheless, it is not enough of a negative to remove any stars are there is an option to add weight via a hook underneath. I am very happy with my purchase.

I love this tripod! I can’t think of anything I won’t be able to accomplish with this. The mono-pod will be very handy, it is so simple to go from the tripod into the monopod, Simply loosen the nut, slide it out, rotate to unlock the extensions and slide to desired length, then tighten again and your all set! Takes about 30 seconds to do that list I just wrote! You can’t beat that! Now with the monopod fully extended, I wouldn’t feel comfortable with anything really heavy on the end, a cell phone or SMALL tablet would be the limit for my taste and comfort. Just a word of advice. When you first set it up, go through and tighten things like the monopod, pull it out, make sure it’s in the fully compressed position, and give it a turn (righty tighty, lefty loosey), Then while you have it out, tighten the camera mounting head…this way all that is secure, it helps while learning about the panning, tilting, etc. Other wise it feels like something is wrong, and all it is, is that it’s loose. It’s a night and day feeling for sure. Now, when I first got mine, the storage bag had a little tear in the seam, I contacted Regetek and they responded within a couple hours! They didn’t hesitate in resolving the problem! I had a few back and forth communications with them, all were very pleasant! I would recommend this company and this tri/mono pod, to anyone looking for a decent one. I also am 100% satisfied with my dealings, I wish more placed took customer service so literal as they do at Regetek!I hope this helps you in your decision. Thanks!PS. the “couple features”, a built in level, a tilting camera base, not only front to back (normal) but you can tilt it to a 45 degree angle the other way too…you’ll see what I mean if you get it, lol. Just nice if you ever need to not only readjust front to rear level without adjusting the legs, but also left/right balance. Very nice! The two rear legs have padding on the upper part for a sure grip while moving, Nice! The hook is perfect for hanging my additional solar battery cell for my phone, I can position it towards the sun to maintain a full charge on my cell/camera while also keeping the solar cell fully charged as well, gives me infinite recording abilities, well, memory, etc. plays a part in that…but I have a 200GB SD card, so I would be set for a while! Have a great one, happy shopping!

Love everything about this lightweight tripod. Came with cell phone mount which was a plus! I bought this as a replacement for an older, now broken tripod. I love the versatility of having the monopod as a part of the tripod. This is not intended to be considered a “professional” tripod but it works for my needs.

Excellent tripod for the price. My first use was videoing a marching band competition from the top of the announcers booth. I was up there for 14 hours on a very windy day. All day long the tripod was stable in all but the strongest wind gusts; and even then only rocked slightly. On top of the quality of the tripod I can’t say enough about the customer service. I had a question about my tripod, not a problem – just a question. I emailed Regetek and received a response almost immediately. I don’t want to go into the details, but to say they went above and beyond my wildest expectations would be an gross understatement. I will be buying Regetek products again.

Great tripod for the money. The ball and socket on the feet defibrillator help with stability, along with it not being too light or flimsy. This has a good solid feel to it without being too light or heavy. My only problems with this would be the included case. It barely holds the tripod, you have to kind of wrestle it in there, and the material is very thin and flimsy. For the quality of the tripod I’d expect a much better case… or even a decent one. Also, if the clamshell would not just bottom out in the “down” position but rather would float and allow movement both ways if you know what I mean would be nice. It in no way hinders it’s performance, would just go on the wish list to stop having to reposition the whole tripod.

I love that I can put my camcorder on it and have it above eye view when filming my son’s football games from the sidelines. the tripod with monopod option is really useful. The head that comes with it is nice for an entry level, with basic functions. Since I’m doing live sports with tons of movement, I put my fluid drag head on instead, and its a great combo. Legs seem to latch and hold well. We will see if it holds up – feels solid so hopeful.
