I am in love with these dustpans. The crisp metal edge makes it easier to get all your debris in the pan and not end up with those pesky lines of the stuff that almost made it. While it might be possible to bend the front of the dustpan, there is no plastic to break or crack, and the pan is wide enough for all of my brooms save some of my push brooms.The width and depth of the pan is perfect. It allows for a gentle follow through into the fan and not a hurried motion which just sends the light stuff into the air and eventually promotes a good sneeze.The size could be a problem, but I have not found that to be the case. It’s also really easy to clean because nothing really sticks to it and because that hump that most plastic ones have at the leading edge isn’t there.

Had a plastic Rubbermaid dust pan for yard debris and the flimsy handle broke very quickly. Needed something giant but sturdy, this fits the bill, and I appreciate not buying more plastic junk. The annoying sticker actually comes off easily if you use a hair dryer to heat the back then slowly peel the sticker. Great price and great product.

My husband kept losing our dust pans..or breaking them, he is in construction. I decided to get this and it is very large. Now he can pick up the big messes in half the time! It is very light weight. It is very sturdy.

This just got delivered and has been doing its job already. Love that it is light weight and large, but still easy to use with one hand. Definitely makes picking up the yard debris a lot easier than with my little plastic dust pan. Also I was worried that the handle would be uncomfortable and it is not. Fits nicely in your palm.I can’t say anything on durability as I just got it but it looks very well made and looks like it will hold up well.Thanks Quickie for a good product that I didn’t realize I needed. Now yard work will be a little easier and “quicker”. 😊

Heavy duty dust pan and extra wide 17″ should last me many years. Way better than the cheep plastic dust pans that chip and crack. And who cares about the sticker not coming off your going to get your dust pan dirty anyway. And for $11.97 on sale who should complain about this dust pan.

Using it in combination with a stiff broom, this dustpan holds a massive amount of debris. Sharp, straight edge goes underneath the smallest particles. Aluminum construction makes it light weight for a heavy weight dustpan. Glad I bought this item.

And as another reviewer mentioned the sticker is REALLY stuck on there, but I got it off. To do so I used a fingernail to repeatedly dig at each corner of the sticker until I had dug up enough to get a grip on then peeled what I could (maybe only 1 or 2 square inches peeled from each corner). Only the top came off of these 1 or 2 in/sq leaving most of the sticker still on the dust pan. Then I laid a piece of paper towel over the whole sticker, soaked that paper towel with acetone, covered the paper towel with a “Thank You” bag (HDPE plastic grocery bag) so the acetone wouldn’t evaporate, and let it soak for I don’t know how long but more than 25 minutes. After that most of the sticker came off with minimal scraping (I used an old nylon zip-tie to scrape), but a lot of goo was left behind, so I put the paper towel, acetone and plastic bag back on and let it soak for another (over 25 minutes). After that most of the goo wiped off with medium-effort scrubbing.

Recently I used one of these to shovel out a home in which tidying up had been delayed for about twelve years. It took me five days just to clear the major debris. Without this dust pan, I’d still be there. As soon I got home from that adventure I ordered myself one.

Maybe it’s just the luck of the draw and people who posted bad reviews did receive different items but not me: for this price of $12 (at this time) it’s a perfectly good sturdy aluminum pan, exactly same as you’d buy in HD. I’ve used many of these identical ones over the years at home and on construction sites (keep losing them though) and no complaints for this one. Cheapest out there and the best nonetheless!
