I love my cat. I want her to be happy, healthy and well fed. I had been feeding her a grain based food since I rescued her five years ago. She is an indoor kitty and about nine years old. I was interested in giving her a better quality of food that would help control her weight reduce hairballs and provide better nutrition. I decided to spend a bit more and try Purina One. Guess what? This food does what it claims. Her coat is noticeably softer. She’s a bit thinner and she seems to love the taste. All in all switching was a great choice. Most importantly, Miss Fluffy is happily enjoying her new dinner.Update:It’s been over a year since I’ve been feeding Miss Fluffy Purina One. She enthusiaclly gobbles it and seems heathier than ever. Were she able to type I’m sure that my six pound furball would give a five star rating herself.

I feed this to my hedgehog. She’s old for a hedgehog (>7 years), so I can only assume that this food has something to do with keeping her healthy. Even the vet was surprised at how healthy she was! This is the only food I’ve fed her regularly in addition to some snacks. (I’ve attached a picture – the mealworms on top of it are not included.)(I have started feeling my cats this after they hated Taste of the Wild. I still am a little skeptical of dry food for cats, but they love it and it compliments their wet food. The 5 stars are mostly for my old lady of a hedgehog. )

I feed this to my adult cats. Its first ingredient is meat and is 42 percent protein-which is hard to find. The price is great- at least $10 less than grocery/pet food stores. I am fostering a mommy and her babies and they eat the purina one kitten food and are growing just the way they should.

My cat has bladder issues. She gets them, it’s bad Krystal’s and trying to potty. My vet but her on Science diet c/d. He said it was the hi sulfate in her food. We started buying it. Thinking we were doing the right thing for her. Well I started looking at different foods. I came across a review for this cat food, and the person had the same problem as us. So I said I’ll try it. Katy loved it she would eat it all the time if we let her. Now bladder infections to date. She’s been on it about 7 months now, and still loving it.

When I used to feed my three cats (one is a finicky eater) with a different brand of dry cat food, I noticed that they would occasionally vomit what they ate. I tried different brands to see what works for them, but nothing really changed until I switched to Purina One Indoor Advantage. I could see that there was significantly less vomiting; very seldom. I don’t know if it’s because they would properly chew the food, pebbles are smaller, or the content in the food was a lot better than what I used to give them. All that matter is that it’s better and my cats are happy with it, especially my finicky eater.

After experimenting at first with a few different brands, my indoor/outdoor cat settled on Purina One Salmon (https://smile.amazon.com/Purina-Tender-Selects-Blend-Salmon/dp/B000R4H2MI ) as his preferred food and this worked well for about seven years. When it came time to move downtown and for him to become an indoor cat (with occasional walks outside), he began to gain weight from his newer, more sedentary lifestyle. I expected this would be an issue somewhat, but I knew I needed to find a solution. After gradually shifting his mix, I ended up at 100% this Indoor Advantage formula it helped keep his weight under control. If you have a cat that now has reduced calorie needs, I think this formula is definitely worth a shot. It’s worked for him for about 2.5 years now.

We have a small glaring in our house (6 cat’s…didn’t actually mean to have that many) and have struggled for years with our now 8 year old orange tabby having a sensitive stomach. At this point I think I had tried almost every brand. About 4 years ago I asked my granddaughter (she was in school then to become a veterinary tech) if she knew anything that would perhaps provide good nutrition, be gentle on his stomach and not break the bank. She said try him Purina ONE Natural Dry Cat Food, Sensitive Skin & Stomach Formula. I did and that was the beginning of being a Purina One family. I have tried a few different formula’s of the Purina One over the last couple of years and all of them agree with him. The odd thing is that I had tried Purina before but never thought about there being much difference in the regular Purina Indoor Cat Chow but discovering Purina One has definitely made a difference in my cat’s health has well as the other 5 of which 2 are geriatrics.

I have been feeding this brand to my cats for the past year after switching between a few cheap and expensive foods. Usually 2 out of 4 cats would like the cheap food, but the other 2 didn’t. Vice versa when I tried more expensive brands, the other 2 cats would like the expensive brands but my cheap-o cats wouldn’t touch it! SIGH. I bought this on a whim from Amazon after comparing the ingredients list to similar priced cat foods and several people had mentioned their pickier cats liked Purina One. This stuff is great, it’s like meat cereal. All four of my kitties love it! In fact, I think they are pickier than before! I have tried home-making several kitty food recipes (some of this stuff I would’ve eaten, it smelled great!) but my cats would choose their Purina One dry food over a hot meal. My inner chef is crushed, but I am glad they’re happy. I will keep buying this for my cats probably forever.

If I have to run to the store to get cat chow because we run out of this at home, my cats meow and get pissed off. I wondered why, so I ate a little bit of both. Cat chow tastes like cardboard. Purina One tastes like meat cereal. Apparently my cats can tell the difference too.(For the record: neither taste great.)

My cats were constantly vomiting up their food when I was using Purina indoor cat formula. I know were not supposed to just up and change their food but I didn’t know what else to do; I felt so bad for them. I’ve been using this since Oct 25, 2018 and the cats haven’t vomited at all. I dont know if it’s a new formula or what.Castiel, my mini panther has a really sensitive tummy, I adopted him and Dean from the shelter at 9 weeks old and it took 5 trips to the vet to get rid of all his parasites. He’s always had trouble keeping food down, and he’s 7 years old now. This food has been a real gift for him. He seems to enjoy it and hasn’t had any issues at all. If you have a cat with sensitive tummy you might give this a go. Both my cats are 7 and neither have issues with this formula when they had been vomiting every other day on the regular indoor purina formula. Also, I just want to note that I have tried in the past few years the more expensive stuff like whole earth and a few other brands that were grain free thinking that would work. They did a little better on whole earth but were still having issues so I will stick with this. whole earth is another one that might be a good choice for folks. Dean did fine with it but Cas didn’t, and we all know that when we try two different foods they have to eat what the other has lol. Anyhow, hope this helps.
