EDIT: Just got another kitten from a cat rescue, Harry, this is the only dry he has been eating as well. That’s what the rescue I got him from recommends.EDIT: It’s been a little less than a month on this food and ROWAN is gaining weight, her coat is shiny, digestion is great and she LOVES THIS!__________________________________I have had many cats over the decades, but for the last decade, have just had a dog (at one time, I had two dogs and three cats).When it was a high of 6 degrees out, I heard a meow and there was an emaciated, freezing young cat.Of course I took her in, I only had Science Diet dog food kibble for dogs over 11, which is very small, which she gobbled up.She got a trip to the vet and is now, of course, my cat.And, OF COURSE, she now owns me and I am her person.Amazing how quickly an inside cat becomes a gourmand!I tried Science Diet Indoor Cat, but she is small, maybe a year, and it was VERY hard and too big for her to chew, I tried Science Diet Indoor Kitten, rarely ate it.THEN I GOT THIS. OMG. She eats this as readily as her canned food!Bottomline: She knows what she wants and this is IT.

I have 3 stray kittens that I fell in love with and decided to make a part of my family. I started off giving them Hills Science but one of the kittens CiCi was having trouble chewing the kibble. I noticed they enjoyed eating my other cats kibble which was Purina True Instincts High Protein dry kibble. So i decided to give this a try and i noticed CiCi stays at her food bowl longer. It doesn’t have a strong scent the shape/size of the kibble seems easy to chew with small kitten teeth and they have a lot of energy after they are done eating. I would purchase again

We just adopted a 5 month old kitten from the shelter. We started him on Purina Fancy feast bc that’s what the shelter gave him occasionally. Slowly switching to this bc it seems to have more of the nutrients he needs. He actually likes this better. He goes crazy for it as soon as he sees me grab the can and tap on the lid.

Several years ago, I owned a cat that wouldn’t eat wet food, so I had to buy dry food. Unfortunately, she didn’t like most of the dry food I purchased. She ate just enough to survive, and her weight was on the low end of normal. I experimented a lot. I bought the most expensive foods I could find that everyone says is the best, and I tried the cheapest food from the grocery store. She didn’t like any of it.When I tried Purina ONE, it was a game changer. She loved it! She ate like she’d been starving, and her weight increased. She maintained a healthy weight on Purina ONE until the day she passed away.Since then, I’ve chosen to feed all my cats Purina ONE, and all of them thrive on it. When I had two litters of kittens, Purina ONE Healthy Kitten was my first choice, and they’ve done very well on it. They’re growing quickly and are all healthy.Purina ONE will continue to be my preferred choice when it comes to my cat’s food.

When I saw that my vet recommended this brand, the first though that popped into my head was, “I bet it’s expensive.” HOWEVER, I prefer Purina ONE mainly because of the price. ~$21.00 for a 16-pound bag that is delivered to my door AND my vet prefers it? Heck yes I’m buying it over any other kitten food! My cat likes it. I like the price. And I like that my vet isn’t judging me for serving him Meow Mix. :-) Everyone’s happy!How long does one bag last?: I have estimated that for one kitten, if you’re feeding it a HEALTHY AMOUNT each day (i.e. not “free feeding”), then one 16-lb bag will last about three or four months.*Side note – most new kitten owners are unaware of the recommended amount to feed their kitten. For the health of your cat and to promote longevity in his life, please Google what you should be feeding a kitten. It’s a MUCH smaller amount than you’d expect. Like humans, being overweight in animals is unhealthy and will shorten their life / increase medical problems. Feeding your animal the right amount from the very beginning promotes good habits. Okay, I’m off my soapbox, buy this kitten food!!!

I rescued Aragorn and Arwen when they were dumped off and found at 2 months old last August. I went to Petco next door to my work to grab the basic Purina kitten chow (the cheap green bag), which they were sold out of…I saw this, kinda gulped at the price and bought it anyway as I wanted the best for them. Best alternative choice and splurge for all of us.Every vet tech and vet they saw were pleased that for “foundlings” that their health was in fantastic shape. I was asked what I was feeding them and told them “Purina One Kitten Food.” I have been told to stay on it, and as they approach their one year birthday, I am researching throughout the line for the best fit for them.Arwen has maintained a healthy weight, even after being spayed, for a short hair tabby. Her coat is shiny and “velvety” as one vet called it and wanted to keep petting her. She is very active and very curious in her environment.Aragorn, her litter mate brother, is a maine coonish mix with long hair and is neutered. He has grown ENORMOUS for his age and is maintaining a healthy weight as well. His coat is soft, fluffy, and is only starting the shed due to the season. He too, is active and always gobbles his plate up.Both are fed 2/3 a cup a day, split into two meals and have access to fresh water daily (they let me know if it needs attention). Litter box has been normal.I store it in an airtight container that can almost hold 16lbs of it. One 16lb bag is about 1 month (as my roommate’s cat enjoys this as well, so that is feeding 3 cats.) I stock up on coupons from Petco to get them the big bag which is the only place other than online to get it.I added recent photos of my two now nine month old kittens that this cat food has helped.

I picked up my kitty two weeks ago and since then I’ve been feeding him this food and Wow!!! His fur is soo soft and shiny! I highly recommend this brand for your kitten because mine loves it and it shows when he follows me whenever I go into my kitchen and meows, I know he’s asking for it. I also am very happy with the ingredients, they’re all-natural and full of all the vitamins and minerals your kitten needs!

We were given Royal Canin, Science Diet, and Purina Pro Plan as wet food recommendations from our vet. I tried Pro Plan first because it’s the least expensive of the three. Amazon helped make the choice even slightly more affordable. However, I came across Purina One Healthy Kitten wet food here on Amazon for significantly less money. There are less options when it comes to specifically labeled kitten food. Most stores carry adult food with not many kitten options. This one is a classic paté. Other patés we’ve tried seem to be easy and enjoyable to eat. The ingredients are quality, relatively simple, with no obvious unnecessary additives. The vet said to avoid grain-free and boutique cat food. Even though this is grain-free, it’s an established brand I already trust, and there’s no fancy fruit or vegetables that would be hard for carnivores to digest. I reasoned that my kitrens’ diets are being supplemented with dry kitten food, so they should still be well-rounded. I canceled one of my Pro Plan kitten subscriptions for Purina One instead. The first shipment arrived today, and I eagerly gave a can to my kittens for dinner. They ate it up same as the Pro Plan. It’s the same company. It has a similar appearance. I think, unless they have any bad reactions, that I will continue to buy this.

Jasper is the newest addition to our family, he’s about 6 months old. Notice in the photo how shiny his fur is, and how big he is already. He’s obviously very healthy.He was raised from birth on a bottle – his mother rejected Jasper and his sister for some reason. My friend fed the two kittens ’round the clock every two hours. Since Jasper moved in with us a few months ago, he’s grown leaps and bounds eating Purina One Kitten Food and drinking a little bit of milk from a saucer as a treat.We saw his sister yesterday and she’s not nearly the size Jasper is, not to say it’s because of the food, but it’s very possible.Since Jasper was raised by humans on a bottle, I thought we’d have trouble with the transition from bottle to dry food but Jasper went for the dry food immediately when we offered him Purina One.
