I absolutely LOVE these gloves. We have a medium cat that is so aggressive that we can’t get to clip her nails. I bought 2 pairs of gloves so I can assist my daughter to get her nails clipped. On first use of the gloves my daughter said ” mom you HAVE TO leave a review”. The gloves work like a charm. GREAT product. I haven’t done a review in such a long time but I felt compelled to action this one. Good job guys!!!!

I do not cut the claws on the kat, who is close to a year old. We would play with me wearing the normal thick leather work gloves, that have the cloth strips on the back. So the kat always had to be a little careful so she would not open me up like a can opener. Play would end when she missed the leather and poked a hole in me.We have now had these gloves for several weeks. The kat took a minute to get used to being able to play hard. Not like she used to, where she had to be careful. She can get wicked with these and I feel very safe. She can still get a point through to my skin, and poke a hole. But I can loosen, or twist my hand so it does not do damage.put them on the foot stool and found her sleeping on top of them. She even goes over and pokes them when they are just lying somewhere to see if they will play with her when I am busy. Guess it is to let me know she is ready to roughhouse. Great product, wish I had gotten them with the kat to begin with.

I got these to play with my 50lb lab mix. She used to bite way too hard when playing, but making pained noises (either deliberately or naturally) taught her to be more gentle. For a dog that doesn’t hold back, I’m not sure how the gloves would hold up. The gloves have held up very well with my dog though – no holes or anything, even though she has gotten rougher with them over time; she might push them to the limit eventually, but for now, I have no complaints. She gets very excited whenever I pick them up because she knows that great fun is about to ensue.I can’t comment on some of the other advertised uses of the product, like using them for bathing your pet, as I haven’t used them for that. My impression, though, is that they would probably work well for tasks that don’t require a lot of dexterity. It’s not hard to move your fingers in the gloves, but it is kind of awkward to do things with precision, so I wouldn’t expect them to be too amazing for grooming or nail clipping. But I suppose they may be better than nothing if you have a cat or small dog that could injure you otherwise.Overall I’m happy with the gloves, and if they eventually do wear out (which would be understandable given their lightweight nature), I’d definitely consider ordering a new pair.

I foster a lot of puppies and am constantly being scratched and chewed, especially when bathing them and things like that. These gloves are great to protect your hands and arms. They’re also long enough to cover up to your elbow which is an added benefit. The fabric is heavy duty yet they’re really comfortable to wear. I’m not big on gloves but these don’t bother me, I barely notice I’m wearing them. They’re soft and flexible but yet still heavy duty. A great idea.

I have had several orphaned animals cross my path, and the latest was an opossum! I was trying not to handle, because I was rehabilitating for release, but had to move him to several size cages, and was unsure of his aggression factor. Turns out, he has limited mobility in his pelvic region, so I’m keeping him, and had to move him into an 8-foot X 4-foot outdoor cage for his permanent habitat. I bought the gloves because possums have 50 teeth at adulthood! Well, I used the gloves without a hitch! They fit wonderfully (I have small hands) and he wasn’t in fear at all – and neither was I with the long gauntlets. Well, this guy is so non-aggressive, he’s more like a snuggly little cat. But, I’m keeping the gloves with me in the car for more rescues should they be my karmic path! I’m also buying some for my daughter, who is also an avid rescuer and rehabilitator, as well as a pet-sitter.

I was working with a feral cat and he literally bit my hand between thumb and forefinger and held on growling… the gloves worked perfectly. I didn’t have a single mark on my skin. The gloves are a great value, most gloves cost far more than this and these work just as well. I do wish they went further up on my arm… they just hit my elbow. But I would love to see them go above elbow.

I have two cats, and like most cats they freak out at the sight of water. Thanks to these gloves I was able to easily bathe them without any worrying about them tearing up my arms. The material used for the fingers also helps grip so they couldn’t wiggle free without using much strength. I would definitely recommend getting these for any animal care needs.

Another reviewer mentioned that she trimmed off a couple of tips of the fingers of these gloves. It was a *great* suggestion! I trimmed off the tips of the thumb, index, and middles fingers and it made a world of difference. I wore them this a.m. to trim the nails on my cat’s front paws and even though he tried to bite and scratch, the gloves completely protected me. What a relief! Previously I’ve be sliced and diced during this procedure. Now I can even trim the nails of his back paws without a problem — other than his yowling, wiggling and hissing. (When he’s good he is very very good, but when he is bad, he is horrid, lol)Haven’t used these yet, but will try them as soon as Seller answers my question re: if washable or not. Meanwhile, I am put off by how bulky they are. I had to buy large b/c of my hand size, but the fingers are loose and I’m skeptical whether I can manage to cut cat’s nails. I may try trimming some of the fingers (of the gloves, of course!) so I can manipulate scissors. But need to be sure I won’t return them depending on above-mentioned question. … I might update this review later….

I had JUST received these from Amazon, when my large Mancoon cat got herself tangled in some synthetic rope…the more she tried to get herself free…the angrier she got!Now she weighs 10 lbs, I live alone, and have lost quite a bit of physical strength to MS.Her claws needed trimming…and she was screaming like a banchee..I kept trying to approach the rope with a safety scissors…but she clawed at me HARD..thank GOD I remembered I had these gloves! They come ALL THE WAY up to your elbow! Thick…sturdy..water proof..cat claw proof…I was able to hold her still with one hand and cut the rope with the other…They are exceptionally well made and very strong.

These are exactly what I was looking for. I work in pet rescue and foster cats in my home. Every once in a while there will be a cat with some anxiety when they first transition into foster. These are perfect for handling a cat with anxiety. They are well-made and fit well without being bulky. I don’t know if they would protect from a serious bite because the are not super thick, but they protect hands and arms from scratches and mouthy felines.
