First, I want to say that I discovered why everyone’s handle in the reviews were broken. Think about it….why in the world would a handle break off when doing simple little sweeping jobs?? The way it is packaged is that it has a zip tie around the handle and pan to keep it in place. If you don’t cut the zip tie and pull the handle instead, it could possibly break. With that being said, I cut the zip tie and have loved it ever since I purchased it. The brush does a great job of sweeping up everything. The pan has a nice rubber transition piece so that all the debris goes easily into the pan. I recommend this product completely!

I bought it to keep my car floormats clear of pine needles which I’m always tracking in somehow since my car is parked in an area adjacent to a giant conifer. Both dustpan and brush snap together and are high quality with a nice weight/balance, and easily fit into the front and back seats and cargo area of my SUV. Rather than unsnap the large rubber floor mats, I can quickly sweep out the pine needles into the dustpan and dump them back outside the car.

I use this to help clean up litter around the litter box. It works perfect for the job. The bristles are super flexible so works well for sweeping tiny particles. The rubber on the pan ensures everything gets scooped up and doesn’t leave a line of dirt behind. I love how the brush fits perfectly in the dust pan for easy storage.

I don’t know if I’d like it for sweeping dirt off the floors, but I’ve gotten lazy and have a standing dustpan for that. I use this exclusively for sweeping up crumbs and rice grains off my countertops and stovetop, and it works very well for that. The soft bristles won’t scratch your surfaces, but are strong enough to brush sticky grains of rice (though if it’s been allowed to dry on, I think you’d need to use other means.) I’m used to the brushes that accompany dustpans to be the horizontal type, but this vertical model works a lot better for getting crumbs out from under the edge of the microwave. If anyone else is looking for a countertop dustpan and broom, I’d recommend it. I could also see the non-traditional shape being a distinctive reminder in a busy household, where you need to keep multiple members from dirtying up your countertop brush on the floor.

Ok, ok, ok, now I know that I’ve lost my mind BECAUSE THIS IS THE BEST DUSTPAN in the entire world. A better mousetrap has been created. The fat lady has sung. Pigs are flying all over the skies.OXO, you’ve succeeded where others have failed. 1. The lip is super thin…when have you moved the dustpan only to find a row of dust under the lip…NOT HERE. 2. See the photo, there’s a reverse groove, a sort of parking lot speed bump, which locks your dirt into the pan. 3. See the photo, the plastic pan is curved so it grips the dirt and the rim is huge so you don’t need to hold it level when carting the dirt to the trash. 4. Plastic never rusts…spray it or wash it clean. Presto. Oh my god! Just buy it and give your old one away! Buy it right now!

I needed a little whisk broom for sweeping up the little debris around our woodstove. I ordered this one because it’s a brand I trust. I was expecting it to be pretty much like any other broom I’ve used–sweeps “OK” but having trouble getting everything into the dustpan. This little broom is amazing. Not only does it sweep better than any other I’ve ever used, but every little speck actually ends up in the dust pan. I will probably buy another one for other parts of the house.

I have cats with littler boxes on both tile and wood floors. They constantly scatter litter all over, even though I have a mat outside the boxes. Nothing worse than litter tracked all over. And I don’t want to keep a tall unsightly broom sitting out. I have tried many different small brush/pan setups like this over the years. BUY THIS ONE! Do not waste any more time or money on any other. I read a great review on this one and decided to try it, and they were so right, this one is amazing. I bought the bigger one. It never misses, I never have littler left because it didn’t slide over the rubber and into the pan, this brush and pan picks up every single tiny piece of litter the first time. I don’t have to try over and over to get the litter into the pan, it brushes right in without any effort – this is amazing. You will not be disappointed, best little brush/pan ever!

It’s just a dustpan. That’s what I thought, anyway. Nothing prepared me for the truth.Do you remember the year 1995? I remember it a little. Irony was the realm of artists, not memes. When you said the word grit, folks still thought about John Wayne instead of grade school programs. Modernity had only partially wiped us of ourselves, the Internet was still only barely there. Social media was nowhere to be found, we still spoke to one another like people. It was a simpler time before we all became cyborgs, but a time of widespread ignorance as well. Sort of like the time before I found this dustpan. But also in 1995, AOL was king. America was coming online, but hardly anyone knew what that meant. No one could have predicted where it would go. The advent of the Internet was one of those world-shattering moments that changed everything. Sort of like a few weeks ago, when I ordered this dustpan. When it arrived, it wasn’t packed in one of those matte finish, sleek boxes you get with Apple products. But it wasn’t the packaging that sold me. Just a dustpan in a heavy paper jacket. It was like any other dustpan, or so it seemed. When you’re holding a dustpan, you don’t expect much. 2019, 1995, 1975, it doesn’t really matter. It doesn’t seem like dustpan technology advanced that far in 30 years. But then I used THIS dustpan. You’ve probably been using dustpans your whole life and never thought about what is too narrow or too wide, bristles that are too long or too short, the rigidity of the brush stroke, the angle of the handle, or any of that. You grabbed some random dustpan, probably the peasant garbage included with your broom, and rolled with it.But OXO had a different idea. They set out to revolutionize the dustpan and they did.Remember using a plastic or metal dustpan where all you could do was brush in about 80% of the material while the rest of it slid underneath?Say goodbye to that. This dustpan has a rubber edge that is just the right amount of firm and flexible. It meets the surface, conforms, and captures everything. As you draw your brush across the floor, the bristles are so soft and so gentle that you barely know when they touch, but an inch or two into the bend, the resistance is just right to let you know it’s time to hold it steady on the pull. The result? No splayed-out bristles. No springboard-style kick back that sends your crumbs across the room.I could go on and on. The angle of the handle is just right. The way the brush fits into the pan feels like German engineering.I’ve never had a bad experience with this. Not once. It’s a joy to use and I mean that. Bad day? Top off a cathartic cleaning session with this brush pan and you never lose that cleaners high.I thought this was just a brush pan. I wasn’t prepared for this. It is a brush pan. But so much more.Five. Stars.

My husband and I love this broom set! It’s a high quality product and is always missing from its storage place as we take turns using it for various house projects. We should definitely buy another set. It’s a very portable size to store in the cupboard or to keep in the car with you, if needed. It is made of a sturdy plastic and has been quite durable. Some dust pans are flimsy and break or crack easily with a heavy load, but this has held up beautifully. It also has a nice rubber handle for gripping. We use it for sweeping the kitchen floor, cleaning the fireplace ashes, and cleaning construction rubble during our remodel. The bristles are firm to get a clean sweep which provide a complete finish. The edge of the fitted dust pan also has a rubber trim to help catch everything as you sweep it. I’m including pictures so you have a visual of the handle, overall assembly, and size. It arrived exactly as pictured in the ad. The broom securely fits into the dustpan and we never have any problem with the two coming part while in storage. We would definitely purchase this again and it is a quality product for the price.

I initially bought this set to use in what I call my “rc area” in my basement where I’m always working on some kind of rc car, plane, side project etc, when the mess wasn’t necessarily always on the floor and wasn’t always big but I needed a quick quiet way to clean it up. I’ve since installed Pergo flooring throughout my house and it’s worked great for cleaning up carpet fibers and dust as I worked. Highly recommended-nothing gets under the rubber seal on the pan.
