I purchased this camera after researching several doorbell cameras and decided to buy this for the price. Set up was really easy, there are voice prompts that tell you exactly how to connect to the wifi. The camera has 2 way audio so you can talk to visitors, it has a motion spotlight and even an alarm feature. Everything that I was looking for in a doorbell ringer, but requires no electrician to install, you only need an outlet! I ended up buying another one for the back door patio.

I searched forever after putting up with the competitors BS for too long. This camera ticks nearly all the boxes I was looking for:-Quick response time. No longer am I stuck seeing brief clips of the person or car just leaving the frame, the whole event is caught on this camera, and I am notified within seconds.-Onboard expandable storage. Accepts a 64gb miniSD. Good enough for >1month if your sensitivity is turned all the way up.-No forced subscription. If you want cloud storage, 1 week is included free. You can pay monthly to increase.-Spotlight. This is becoming hot right now, after Ring introduced the concept a while back. This camera, for the reasons above, does it way better.-Plugged in. I hated having to recharge my old camera. Get up on ladder five times a year to service my sub-par camera? No thank you. This camera has a non-removable, fixed power cord with USB plug at the end to charge. It’s long, maybe 10-15 feet?-CHEAP. I thought this game was a get-what-you-pay-for ordeal. Totally not the case. I bought this expecting junk, but after seeing all the pro’s, I’m ready to buy 4 more. I can’t believe I almost spent $400+ monthly subscription for the competition. What a scam.If I could add anything, it would be to allow this camera to loop-record over the MicroSD and just record 24/7.Also, it’s a security camera, it should be offered in black.Otherwise, this and any WiFi camera is only as good as the signal strength around it. It’s 2.4GHz, so you can get away with a bit more distance. I had to play with one of my Orbi satellites to optimize signal strength, but now I’m good to go.

The media could not be loaded.  I’m so impressed with this super affordable security camera… I do wish it came in black but the camera quality is absolutely amazing I am extremely happy with my purchase … also the night vision is so much better than I expected !!! I am truly blown away with this product I’m ranting to all my friends and family about it …I like the fact that it’s Wired… so happy with my purchase I will continue to buy from these makers in the future!!

I purchased this camera after trying two others from another manufacturer that were not reliable. The Reolink was very easy to program onto my router. I moved it to several spots to see how much I could press the distance. It worked past where I would have thought it would with the signal strength provided from the router, so to be safe I installed a WiFi extender. Result: I have had NO problems with this camera and am ordering another one for a different area of my property. It works, and you will be very happy with the software that comes with it, You can view events or live motion on your smartphone or your PC. Install a SD card into the camera and it stores for months depending upon the activity, and if the memory in the card gets filled, it overwrites the oldest captures. I like this camera and would recommend it to anyone that wants a good, reliable, quality camera at a great price.

I (engineer) just finished running most of the initial tests on this camera and I am impressed. Well done Reolink! Please know that even though BizACT installs these cameras, I am not paid or get any benefit from writing this review. I was simply so impressed with Reolink’s accomplishment on this camera, I thought it deserved a free $225 evaluation/review, which is what it costs for me to do a evaluation and review of 1 cam, since it takes about 2 to 3 hours.* Camera packaging is good.* Camera quality build is good.* I am surprised there is no external antenna, and have concerns it may have wifi distance difficulties, and I have not tested signal reception yet.* The pic quality is very good.* FINALLY, a proper motion detection in this price range. The motion response is prompt, and accurate. The motion zone squares are small so you can define areas accurately.* It even has a feature that allows you to black out an area for privacy; especially useful if used in a bedroom as an example or if the recording of the content of a video monitor (like passwords typed) not wanted.* The mic sound pickup is okay, but it definitely needs to be improved by Reolink, but I was satisfied for the range considered.* The Siren sound is not super loud, even at the maximum setting. Suggests better/stronger speaker is needed.* The one feature I would have really like this cam to have is some kind of AI without payment, or freely given Human-only detection.* The app install went well.* The adding of Wifi went well.* Taking snap shots and video recordings WITHOUT A MEMORY CARD and without cloud service was pleasing; kept on phone’s memory.* Its flood light works well.* Night vision is very good.* The UI (User Interface; the App) is designed well for usage.* It’s power cord is long enough to go through any thickness/hole lengths.* It is a BIG problem not being able to set the Siren volume sound before the siren is enabled, since after you turn the siren on, and increase the volume and turn the siren off, then you need to turn it on again to reduce the volume, and volume adjustment response is poor, but it is just a momentary inconvenience.* I have not tried the memory card usage yet to see if there are any issues with retention or access of data, but judging by it’s software and hardware design so far, I do not expect any problems.* Also, the mount design is done brilliantly. I have not mounted it, but I can tell, it provides the ease of usage and movement needed.* It automatically turns on the flood lights upon motion detection.* One thing that MIGHT become a problem once installed/tested outside is that it HAS NO OVERHEAD COVER protection for rain and sun. So, I may end up seeing water droplets on the cam lens distort images.* To Reolink, if you want to add additional software features, I suggest adding ability to save data onto a local server (via NAS, or FTP, etc.), and Human-Detection-only setting. In summary, what really sets this camera apart from others in this price range and higher is its well done motion detection and motion control, and picture quality for both day and night, and truly usable flood light, and a well done UI.

So this product is perfect for our front porch. It is usb powered and we snaked the wire up to our outlet on the second floor porch. Mounting is super easy, does require screwing into your house (two tiny screws). The things I love about this camera: it’s shareable between my cell phone and my wife’s phone, you can customize where you want the motion detection to pickup and not pickup motion (our camera points towards road and I can literally draw a line in the app to just the sidewalk and in towards my house), you can turn the motion detection light on or off (we like to keep ours off), the night vision is great, pickups up great audio, you can also speak into your phone and it will play your audio through the camera to a would be burglar or just saying hi to your family, has a siren option you can alert your neighbors if somethings wrong, and the play back feature is great. You can adjust how long after detection of motion you want to keep recording. We have it set to 45 seconds and it’s good on memory. We bought a 64G memory card for the device and we can go back weeks of videos. We only have one camera but will be getting one for the back yard. You can run multiple cameras off the app. Also the camera hooks up to your WIFI. So you can access your recorded video or live view of your camera when away from your house.

For the price I love it, it is NOT “wireless” it still comes with the cable to plug it in to a wall outlet. Easy set up, It hooks up to your wireless internet and that’s how it operates. I bought a memory card because I thought you needed it to save videos but it uploads to the cloud, I think the card just gives it the option for more memory ( I could be wrong about that). The reason I specifically bought this model is because I wanted to be able to 2way talk which works perfectly fine and loud. You can set the sensitivity for how close or far away you want to get the alert notifications, you can set the notification to get alerts to your phone during specific times as well. It gets annoying because it will sense every car that passes your house but you can also set the depth perception and only get notification for things that are in your yard, porch etc. I would recommend this and I plan on getting one for the back because they sinc together on the App. Clear night vision, you can zoom in if you want, all around for the price it’s great. I haven’t tested it for Wisconsin winter since I just got it in the summer so not sure how well it works in super low temps. Hope this helps

Update: Now that we’ve had it a minute, we’re still pleased. It is a little hiccupy on Google home, but we’re pretty ok with that. To be fair, it interrupts the music streaming to display the camera anyway, so we haven’t done it that way much at all. The notifications are usually prompt on both of our android phones. When there is a delay, I’m pretty sure it has to due with the sleep status of the phone and not with the camera, though that’s really just my theory. The picture quality is great. Being able to block sections out of the motion detection has worked nearly perfectly – the angle of the sun does affect some shadows stretching farther than what i have blocked in the morning, but I haven’t decided whether to draw over that part, leave it be, or set up times when notifications are off. It’s obviously not a big problem or I would have fixed it. So anyway, that’s the update. We haven’t needed to use the speaker or microphone, but we did test them. Neat things…you have to have the volume on your phone on to be able to hear the person! (Duh, I know. I always have mine turned off, though, so I just didn’t think about it at first). Also downloaded the PC version, which was easy to set up and streams perfectly with no hiccups. Very handy while working, since I can pull the camera up that way and not interrupt my streaming music. And the light is very bright, according to my husband, who has to leave super early in the am for work each day. ;)Original review: Snagged this camera on a flash sale, but I had already mostly decided on this brand for good reviews, reasonable pricing, storage options, and Google compatibility. Before installing it, I plugged it in and set it up to make sure everything would work. No need to drill holes in the house until you verify it’s not DOA! Setup if the camera and app was super easy, though there wasn’t really anything in the instructions about it. The hard part was belly crawling through our super tiny attic multiple times to map, plan, and fish wires. The plug doesn’t appear outdoor rated, but it didn’t make sense to us to plug it in outside, anyway. I mean, then someone could just unplug it, duh. So in the teeny tiny attic I went. After several trips and most of the afternoon, we finally got the wires where we wanted. Since I had already set it up to test, all that was left was to mount the camera, plug it in, take a ton of tylenol, have some beer, and wait until the next day to aim it. As far as mounting, it’s a nice and easy base, and they even include a little paper template to drill the holes for anchors. The night picture is before going back out to aim the camera, but you get the idea. The field of view is great. The motion detection is adjustable. Neat feature in there, too- you can mark off areas where you don’t want it to detect motion. I’ve marked off the top right corner where it’s still picking up the edge of the road and the paw print dangling toward the top left. Turned the motion detection down a few times to eliminate notifications for shadows, etc. Less than a day in and I think I’ve just about got it fine tuned to pick up a car in the driveway or a person walking up to the house, but to ignore headlights passing, leaves moving, etc. Picture quality seems great to me. I haven’t viewed it on the TV yet, but it’s more than enough resolution on a phone or Google hub display. I’ve played with saving pictures and videos. I’ve seen plenty of screenshots taken from a variety of other camera which were grainy, poorly lit, etc, and you wouldn’t be able to identify anyone. These are much more clear than most I’ve seen, in case we were to need to ID a person or anything. Also, motion push notifications are prompt. The spotlight is plenty bright enough. The night vision is clear, both in grayscale and when it automatically switches to color. Pleased with all aspects.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this surveillance for my front door area of our house. The dogs bark alot and its nice to see what’s going on to know if I need to get up for something or not. It works perfect and even came with an unexpected but wonderful feature of the floodlight comes on so we can see at night to unlock our door. (Motion sensor light) It even worked fine in 28° weather. For 50 bucks I feel like I got a 200$ product. Has been an asset. Buy one for yourself they are great!
