Our kitten has IBD and suffered from diarrhea for her entire little life. Switched to this stuff and it’s been 6 months, no issues.08/04/2014 – sad to see the price jump and loss of prime shipping. Found it online at another retailer for a much lower price and free shipping. If it comes back on prime at it’s normal price, I will buy from here again.

I’ve been feeding my two cats this food for over a year now (actually probably 2 years). They LOVE it. They have literally never not eaten this food the minute I set the plates down–which is good, because I’m paying an arm and a leg for this stuff. It’s worth it, though, because my cats are healthy AF. They have the softest silky coats (they’re medium/long-haired grey cats; probably a mix of maine coon & siamese–seriously, people comment on my cats’ softness), strong claws that poke me whenever they make biscuits into my arm / stomach / thigh / shoulder / head / etc., and they’re full of energy. They also don’t get chin pimples (maybe that’s because I don’t use plastic dishes? do your own research). Their poops are healthy, albeit a little stinky, but I mean nothing compares to kitten poops, right? Like, they don’t smell half as bad as kitten poops so can I really complain? No.About the food itself: it smells pretty gross, like all cat food does. Not fishy, because it’s not fish. Ducky, I guess. I like to rinse the can before tossing it, to keep the fur demons from breaking into the trash, and to mitigate smells. It has very little ‘gravy’, because it’s a pate. I’m told that gravy is not always “gravy” for cats–lots of salt or fillers, maybe (do your own research)? Anyway, pate is pate. It’s a dense, solid, can-shaped blob of food. It’s not little cubes of meat and carrots and rice in a sauce. This can is full of food, with a drizzle of sauce to keep it moist. So, I feel like I’m getting the most for my money compared to those gravy cat foods (even though my cats go nuts for that gravy stuff–like me with a fresh, hot cheese pizza). My cats have been eating this since graduating from kitten food, and I intend to keep feeding it to them until it makes me go broke, or until they change their minds about duck pate, or until the vet says stop.

I am always on the lookout for good quality food for my 3 cats. Just when I think I’ve found the right brand, they discontinue it. This is my latest find and my fur babies love it. I feed just a tablespoon at a feeding for each cat, and they eat it right up. No leftovers. I also purchased the turkey and duck flavors. It’s two paws up at this house!

My 2 kittens *love* this and so do we! Quality ingredients and grain free! After starting them on this, their bowel movements have improved, coats look so much better and they have more energy than before.

Of all of the healthier foods that we feed our cats, this is their favorite. I feel good giving it to them because of the healthier ingredients and quality.

One of my cats has allergies and has stomach problems with grain and other unknown ingredient, so I get grain free food for them usually at PETCO, but after buying this product for a while I noticed that I can get a greater deal on Amazon. Since it is a heavy item having Prime does help, if you don’t have Prime the savings may not be worth it.Before Merrick changed this product our cats did not really like their product really seemed not interested in the wet food at all, but after they changed their recipe they love it so much it seems like they inhale it. The texture resembles other cat food now.Merrick prides itself with safe pet food, They only use ingredients made in the U.S and from farms they know and trust.Their website says they do not use anything from China. Which is hard to find nowadays, even if products say made in USA.I am very happy to of found a product that specifically informs consumers, NO usage of the very thing I wanted to avoid “Ingredients from China” .

We have an older cat with a digestive disease who needs to be on a special diet. However, she will not eat the prescription food the vet recommends. We stumbled upon this brand at PetSmart and bought a few cans to try out. Our Cat loves it — and best of all, keeps it down. She loves it so much we have ordered a case!

I have a cat that doesn’t drink enough water to thrive on a dry diet so we made the move to wet only. Feeding Merrick dry, moving to Merrick cans was a no brainer. We have at this point had 6+ shipments of Merrick delivered to our door and the quality has been consistent with each batch. We have had a few dents in some cans but such is to be expected in transit. So far none have broken the seal on the cans, but like ANY canned food if the seal on the can is broken, you can expect a disgusting mess to be in that can.Reviewing on transit errors isn’t reviewing on the food itself and its sad that its review is being damaged by people being overly emotional. If they contacted Amazon I’m sure something could have been worked out. That being said this is a fantastic food and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I buy these three flavors for my cat regularly and am happy they’re available on Amazon for easy delivery. I generally stick to grain-free, bird-based food for my cat. He’s slightly picky about his wet food but has always eaten this brand happily. Amazon’s price is on par with what I’ve seen in pet stores +/- a dollar at most.

My cats LOVE Merrick Purrfect Bistro and thrive on it too. Chicken pate and turkey pate the only product I feed them since they were 8 week old kittens. Now they are both3 1/2 years old and incredibly healthy, fit and active. I credit it largely to Merrick Purrfect Bistro. Remember, domestic cats are obligate carnivores because of their inherited needs. Over generations, cats have lost the ability to manufacture amino acids and vitamins like herbivores and omnivores can; they get these from the MEAT they eat. Dry food (kibble) just doesn’t do the trick. You need to feed them MEAT and only MEAT for best health.
