No pantry moth evidence found in the bag. I wish it contained the small bell-like chili peppers but it only has the long chili peppers in there. No biggie but my parent spills out most of the seeds on the long chili peppers where the bell version a held them in like a bowl for easy eating. Seems fresh. Great buy for the quantity! I’ve read about the pantry moth review but honestly I have had that happen when I buy from the pet store’s bulk bin. So it is likely the supreme company and not the seller’s fault for a select batch.

When I received my bird food, the bottom of the bag had a slit in it and food had come out. This would have been seen while at the warehouse. Pretty disappointed they allowed this to ship.

been looking for bird seed with no pellets. this fit the bill and nice price. i give my amazon pellets during the day, so when i give him his treats in the evening i did not want them. this is a nice mix with sunflower being one of the main ingredients. just what Ari wanted. the seed was clean when i opened it. i put in gallon bags and freeze until i need them. (that kills any pest that may wonder in), i dont think it was really necessary

After reading the reviews..I was a bit hesitant to purchase this.I’m SO glad I went ahead & did.I have an African Gray who LOVES sunflower seeds.Yes, this IS full of sunflower seeds mixed with other seed.I use to buy seed at WM, but at $7 for 3 lbs, I wanted to try this.25 lbs for $20.I like it so well I went ahead & purchased 2 more bags.Didn’t & haven’t seen any larva and/or creepy crawly things.Glad I bought 3 when I did.I see the HUGE price increase.

I have an African grey , which is mainly on pellets but I do give him seeds/nuts as treats along with fresh veggies & fruit . I buy the largest bag & keep in freezer & get out about a pound every week or so to keep it fresh & bug free .

I’m not sure why people are leaving this product negative feedback, with pictures of twigs and all kinds of crazy stuff. I just tried this for the first time it’s just a basic sunflower and corn mixed with some little round pepper dehydrated things in it which is fine you’re supposed to supplement your birds with fruits and vegetables so this is a perfect basic mix and the price is very good so I’m not sure why everybody is complaining it’s corn sunflowers and the little red peppers. It’s missing the cat food and the dehydrated carrots and the long Chili Peppers that are dehydrated that’s the only thing that but other than there’s no reason to complain. Supplement your birds with fruits and vegetables and please be careful if you give them apples remember that the seeds inside the apples are poisonous so make sure you pay attention when you cut the little pieces of Apple because that’s very nutritious for birds. I’ve had a bird rescue now for over 18 years.

My African Grey loves this mix. What I do is buy a 25lb bag of this, buy the Kaytee Exact Rainbow Large Parrot 20lb bag, and mix them together. You pretty much get a 45lb Pellet/seed mix for around $65 bucks, depending on how much each bag is sellingThe pantry moth thing is a real problem though. 50% of the time, I’ve had pantry moths in my bag, so what I do is immediately put the seed bag in the freezer for a week or so, the moment I get it, and I haven’t seen silk webs since. Shame on Kaytee though, for having this problem in the first place.
