This works far better than other flea products. It will kill adult fleas and even if you think it isn’t working, it is. I’ve been critical of Advantix because the past 2 years have been crazy fleas around here. I’ve found out this summer that I’m far better off to use this product than not. I also do my yard, my house, my cats etc with other flea products. So this year I tried using something else on my dogs. What a nightmare! I bought more of this recently and it’s made a huge difference. I still have to do around the house etc but my dog is so much happier.

i use this once a month On a Labrador and a German Shepherd we live in South Texas where mosquitoes and flies can get very bad… i’ve been doing this for a long time with no negative side effects and have not had any flea problems it also works to repel mosquitoes.

Seems to work the best of all flea/tick medicine. I don’t use during winter months. Well I normally start reusing in April. Well found two ticks late March. Started this treatment and within days found another hooked in. It was dead or dying though. I rarely ever see a flea and when I go it spinning in a circle or can’t jump. So I recommend for anybody that’s having flea tick issues on their dog. Takes a day or two to take effect is a con as well as you can’t use right before or just after a bath.

We used the version for extra large dogs over 55 lbs. for our two. This product worked well but only for about 2 weeks, not the 4 weeks it claims. The dogs tolerated it without any problems. It was easy to apply. It bothered me that after 2 weeks the dogs either needed another application or they had fleas for 2 weeks. I didn’t like applying it to them that often. We are going to look for another flea treatment for them.EDIT: We ended up trying this on our dogs again this year (2021). It now works very well and appears to last for the full 4 weeks. Therefore, changing my review to a more positive one. We are pleased.

We battle flea problems in our house every late summer/fall thanks to one of our cats always getting out and bringing them back in from other people’s property. Once she has them, they’re on the dog and the other cat. I’ve vacuumed and washed things like crazy, including the cats, but those alone will not take care of the problem. I’ve tried other competing brands that don’t seem to work as well. I won’t touch the cheap drugstore products because they are much more toxic. Usually I can get the fleas off the dog with a few flea baths, as long as I’m treating the cats (the dog is a weimaraner so not much hair). However, last year I struggled for far too long so I got the cats and dog the advantix brand of drops. Within a couple of weeks the fleas were gone for good. I made sure to keep vacuuming and washing things so no stray eggs in the house could hatch and that worked great!

Worked overnight on a bad infestation. Given some of the negative reviews I had real reservations about using this on my dogs. I applied it on the first dog and the next day when I combed her I didn’t find a single live flea. The next day my second dog and the one I was most worried about due to his allergies got his dose. There we no adverse reactions and 24 hours later he too was free of fleas. Before trying this we tried the ‘natural’ remedies. They DO work but only for a few hours while the dog’s coats were still wet or damp with the oils.

K9 Advantix II is the only flea/tick/mosquito/fly treatment that protects my Newfie from pests. I recently made the stupid mistake of trying another brand and I’m kicking myself. If you haven’t used this yet, you really need to try it–especially if you live in one of the mosquito capitals of the universe, as I do (Maine, where the mosquitoes are not only larger and meaner than anywhere else, but smarter–in fact, they’re smarter than most of my neighbors). When you combine heavy pest problems with a long-haired dog (especially one with sensitive skin, like my Newfie), you want the best. K9 Advantix II IS the best. Trust me.

I have a Weimaraner that I brought home at 8 weeks old and this was the first flea & tick treatment I used on her and it worked great, she didn’t have an allergic reaction, etc. She’s two years old now, I’ve used several other brands (all the major ones) in an attempt to “cut cost” and I was not happy with the results. Some she had an allergic reaction to. I will only K9 Advantix II from now on. Also, I just got a new puppy (Pitbull & Bull Mastiff mix) and I used this on him today and I so far so good. I recommend this product and if it works and your dog isn’t allergic to it just keep using it instead of trying other brands. Cheers!

I have not switched to any other product since I started using this one. It works so much better than any of the other topicals or types that you administer orally. There are way more risks of harming your pets with the oral types than the topicals. The only risks with this type is basically a rash. I have found that this brand works much better for fleas, ticks and especially mosquitoes. I live in south Louisiana and at times the mosquitoes will pick you up and fly away with you but with the Advantix II, you don’t have to worry about them bothering your dogs. The dose applied also lasts longer than the recommended 30 days. I wait 40 days before reapplying and my dogs are still free of all fleas, ticks and mosquitoes at the end of 40 days. It is a waste of money to buy any of the herbal or other all natural products and these work far better than other products that claim to offer the same protection. I highly recommend the Bayer K9 Advantix II

This stuff is the bomb! It did work. Amazingly so. At first we were discouraged because we saw no results. We bathed our furbaby first, dried, applied no noticeable effects. Checking late that evening it was working. By the next day no fleas. The next week still no fleas. Our dog was splashed by pool water and hose throughout the week inadvertently and it still worked. Love this. No side effects either. We have used some that left our dog in obvious distress after applying. This was gentle on her skin but eradicated the fleas. No smell, not mucky. Living in a wooded area we didn’t think we could solve the flea problem on her so easily. Worked much better than anticipated. If you apply it and don’t see immediate results definitely wait 24 hours and give it a chance to kick in.
