I originally had my male cat on Iams and had no issues. We got another cat and we decided to “upgrade” their cat food to Blue Buffalo. After the switch, they kept getting crystals and I would have to rush them to the vet because they were peeing blood. I happened to go onto the review page of Blue Buffalo and saw where people were saying do not feed your cats Blue Buffalo because it is causing cats to pee blood. Once I read the review it clicked that my cats also were having that issue after I switched to B.B. I switched back to Iams and it was great. No more rushing to the vet over bloody urine. We deviated one more time from Iams and once again my female had bloody urine. So now they are permanently on IAMS. The vet recommended special foods which would have costed an arm and a leg but it has been years with no bloody urine. They love IAMS and we have never had issues with the food. Side note: I am not saying IAMS will cure crystals or bloody urine in all cats. Just saying how it helped with mine.

I gots me a bit of a chubblette going on here in the meow department. We’re not talking a little bit of fuzz here, we’re talking an over twenty pounder.I don’t want her to have health issues and I don’t like having to clean her butt for her.So I pulled her off the chow and stuck her on this stuff. Which she doesn’t like too much. That’s not a bad thing when I need that stacked tray of fuzzy meatload to shed a few pounds is it.This stuff hasn’t given UTI’s to my meow. The chow brand of weight loss meow food did. She’s been enjoying this sort of meow food for almost a year.In the first six months she melted off five pounds. The proof is the shrinking bowl of furr pudding.

I have used this specific cat food for years. My cat is a long haired whie cat, incredibly finicky. The vet suggested it and Isabella will eat it, in fact, it is the ONLY cat food, wet or dry that she condescends to eat. .so yes, I am very pleased with the product.

This cat food is awesome. I have one particular cat that takes liquid dumps when he eats any brand of cat food that I have given him, except for Iams indoor. Occasionaly, I buy cheap cat food at the gas station when I run out and need a temporary fix. All of my cats’ problems come back… hair balls, diarrhea, overeating etc. I have no explanation for it, but there is dentinitely something different about this brand, not just clever marketing.

I have been struggling to find a cat food that is healthy for indoor cats that isn’t full of fillers and who knows what else. I found that this brand had the least amount of recalls in its history and decided to talk to my vet and yup, it’s that good. I was put off by the price at first until I realized that I’m paying less than $30 a month to feed my cats something great and I spend more than that when I go to Taco Bell so I decided to shut up and do something for them. Glad I did. I noticed a difference in a couple weeks. They like it better. That is very easy to tell. Glad I got this brand

My cat is the perfect target market for this food: she’s indoor, has weight issues, and is prone to hairballs. I cycle her through a variety of dry foods. I feed her canned, Weruva food in the morning. In the evening, I give her a bit of dry food to hold her until morning. Typically I choose dry foods that are targeted to weight and/or hairball issues. She’s not a picky eater and will eat whatever I give her, but has her favorites for sure. Iams proactive health is definitely a new favorite. She loves the taste, her bowel movements have improved, and her hairballs are less frequent.Other reviewers are complaining about the ingredients, but I’m only seeing positive results with the food. Considering it’s not my cat’s only source of nutrition, I’m sold.

Up until January of this year (2019), I had been purchasing Natural Balance dry cat food for my three kitties. Although expensive, one of the three cats was a senior with multiple medical problems, including issues with gluten. When he passed away in January, I began searching for a less expensive option in cat food. The Natural Balance, in 10lb. bags, was 2.98/lb.I switched to Hills Science Diet, marginally less expensive at 2.85/lb in a 7lb. bag. However, both of my cats began to vomit undigested food about two times a week shortly after making the change. One cat had always had issues with the vomiting of undigested food, which I had assumed was caused by eating too quickly. But I had resolved that problem, so him returning to frequent vomiting, and the other cat vomiting undigested food when he hadn’t done so before, made me think both were sensitive to certain ingredients in the Hills. Then I tried Iams Proactive Health. In the 22lb. bag, this food, at today’s price, is 1.36/lb.. As soon as I made the switch, both cat’s vomiting of undigested food stopped!A 22lb. bag feeds my two cats (one weighs about 16lbs., the other about 13lbs.) about 2 1/2 months.I store their food in the Simple Human medium pet food container:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004PU7YFA/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_0BQZDbXGDJDX7This can keeps the food fresh – and away from kitty’s prying paws – until the last bit of kibble is gone.I’m thrilled to have found a high quality dry cat food that my cats like, is easy on their tummies, and kind to my wallet!

As my cat has gotten older, she has been putting me through the test with food. She would stop eating midway through a bag, even the smallest I could buy. She would appear to be “tired” of the taste, and the fool human that I am, I kept changing her out (gradually adjusting to something new). People said, “Leave it there and she’ll eat it”, but she wouldn’t! I noticed a bit of a weight loss and got concerned enough for a vet visit who said she was getting older, not as active, doesn’t need so much, but suggested Iams. I just ordered more of this because she finished off the bag. Enough said.

Our old kitty, Ishtar, now about 20 years old, loves her Iams. Darlene, our “cat whisperer” who ordinarily takes care of buying cat food when it gets low was ill, so I got a small sack in the local drug store but thought I should buy a larger sack. For some reason, I had no idea how big a 22 pound sack is! It came packed in a large box and I could barely pick it up. This is a bargain, compared with buying the small sacks, but be sure you understand just how large a sack it is, and have a good place to store it, away from the mice and rats who surely would love to chew holes in the sack and feast on it! I hope that Ishie, our beloved Tuxedo Cat, will outlast the food. What can we say about Iams? Our local big box pet store no longer stocks it, but our animals have always loved it and done well on it. This flavor works well with an older cat, who is no longer getting a lot of exercise roaming the yard searching for varmints. She sleeps a lot now and never goes outside, and this is perfect for her.

Both of my cats really super love this stuff. My cat immediately stopped with the dry coughs and got the furball out! Like within 24 hours of starting this food. It works! Fast! Phew.I’ve used another furball food dry and wet by Science Diet, but it actually made my cats really sick and the poo smelled so bad on that stuff. The poo smell isn’t terrible on this, but not great either. The kib size on these is great too, really little. Other hairball foods I’ve tried have had huge size kibs which look more like dog food. The actual scent of the food isn’t the best, but the cats love the flavor… a lot. I was worried about moldy food looking at the pics, but mine was fresh, no issues. I dumped the whole thing out to inspect it.It’s a good value for the money. I don’t know if it will be a good diet food too, we will see. My monsters definitely need to shed a few lbs. I ordered the 7# bag for starters, I definitely am going to order it again.Lots of paws up on this food so far.#FoundItOnAmazon
