Got the 65 inch, Did my research in advance. rather than pay 1800 for an OLED that might suffer from burn-in down the road, decided to go with this significantly cheaper TV. at 1500 Nits, this TV is BRIGHT. Color pops right out of the box. Not much calibrating needed which is quite a big deal these days. If you can get over the fact you are not buying an LG, Samsung, or Sony (yeah i know it ain’t easy), you are going to be very satisfied with your purchase. Best bang for your buck by a mile.

This is a remarkable tv for the price. It’s as good if not better than TVs costing $1,000 more. With 360 local dimming zones it provides deep dark Blacks that are close to OLED TVS without the worry of burn in and screen retention. I should know because I spent $3,297 for an OLED tv in 2016 that became unwatchable because of burn in and screen retention. Before purchasing this tv I watched hours of reviews on YouTube on every new model for 2021 currently available. This is the real deal folks. Just buy this tv and I promise you will not be disappointed. 😎

This is a budget TV with a very good picture quality and great brightness. I bought this TV to replace my 2018 Vizio P-Seriers that had a refresh rate of 120 hz at 1080p resolution only. This Hisense TV is good for next generation gaming because it supports 120 fps and 120 hz refresh rate at 4k resolution. HDR and Dolby Vision contents look great because of very good color accuracy and amazing brightness. As other reviewers have mentioned, ghosting is noticable sometimes while playing games. It is not a big issue for me because it doesn’t affect the gameplay and I only notice it once in a while. I have owned this TV for over 5 months now and I haven’t had any major issue yet. This TV has 4 HDMI ports but only 2 of them support HDMI 2.1. HDMI 2.1 is required for 4k gaming at 120 fps.I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for a good budget TV for all-round use.

I spent MONTHS researching which tv I wanted to get to complement my ps5. I originally purchased the Vizio quantum m7 (GREAT TV) but I moved and needed a larger tv. THIS THING IS FREAKING BRIGHT. I realized I needed something to fight the daylight and this is amazing. Apparently there is a panel lottery (Hisense is known for this) and I got lucky soo far. It’s been a few months and I’m still amazed with the quality and features. From the Bluetooth picking up my old sound bar( THIS TV SOUNDS AMAZING TOO IT HAS BASS LOL) the remote is nice (lights upand doesn’t eat through the battery)Rtings rated this tv on par with the 2000 dollar Samsung qn90 and I’ll be dayumed they were spot on.TLDR;JUST BUY THIS THING ITS NUCKING FUTS!

The Hisence 65U8G. I Love It! I will admit right up front I’m a long time Sony/Samsung guy. The TV’s I was leaning towards were the Samsung 65QN90A or the Sony 65A80J. So you might be asking how did I end up with the Hisence. Short answer is I’m a gamer. So I’m looking at features in a possible slightly different way than say a movie fan. Top of my list of must haves is the next gen gaming features that come with having HDMI 2.1 ports. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) at 4K 120fps was at the top of my list. This TV excels at Everything I wanted out of it for gaming. Picture quality is excellent. Blacks are deep without crush and colors are vibrant and no blooming against those inky blacks. So contrast is great. This TV is very bright and HDR highlights really pop. The poto’s I included with this review I took right after I did the setup with no adjustments or setting changes. I have a bright room and the brightness of this TV and how well it handles reflections is exactly what I needed.Speaking of setup, it was a breeze. Some TV brands make you redo your setting for each mode. This TV applies your setting to all picture modes the first time you do it. Of course you can still go in and do custom settings for each mode if you want to.So all the usual apps and smart features are here. The layout is nice and easy to navigate. The OS is fast and things load quickly. The remote is nice and uncluttered. Not as simplistic as the Samsung remotes but I feel like they have gone to far on that regard. There are plenty of shortcuts for the popular apps and there is a voice search option.I also should note that sound on this TV is way better than I thought it would be. It actually really took me by surprise. Dialog was crisp and easy to hear and I feel you could easily enjoy this TV without an external sound system in a smaller sized room especially. I actually used the money I saved buying this TV on a premium soundbar with full surround wireless speakers. Also note that one of this TV’s 2.1 HDMI ports is the eARC audio port. So that’s where the fancy soundbar is plugged in at. There are other options too such as digital audio out.I will also say this TV is very nice looking even turned off. It has a nice darker brushed metal frame that I really like. On a side note this isn’t the thinnest TV out there. This TV does have some cable management built into the back of it. You could easily flush mount it on a wall but I chose an adjustable tilt mount instead. Also I will say I bought all new in wall rated Ultra High Speed 48Gbps HDMI cables for my setup. There are many brands out there and it can get very confusing. I like Zeskit MAYA 16ft CL3 In-Wall that I got here on Amazon for $35 bucks. Great deal. Remember that for an in wall cable installation having a cable that’s a little to long is way better than one that’s a half inch to short…Learned that the hard way…lol

This is a great tv all around it needs a little tweaking and some things turned off, but I think it’s the best TV for the money I paid under a thousand. I think some gamers are having problems because they are not picking the correct resolution. When you attach a PC to a TV there are 2 sets of resolutions the one it defaults to is WRONG. In the drop-down menu it will set itself to the correct size and will say Native but scroll down and you will see the same resolutions, except now it will say PC that is the one you want and then everything will work. Also remember only 3000 series NVIDIA cards have HDMI 2.1 anything lower will only be 2.0 not sure about AMD #’s. You can try a DP to HDMI cable.I have a I9-10900 & 3080Ti and I get 120hz @4K through the HDMI cable as I said pick the PC resolutions and you will be ok.Granted I have a high spec PC, but it is smooth as butter no blurring even with V-sync on.

I bought these tv two months so I wanted to wait on writing my review. I have to say that these tv is amazing for the price point it beats higher end models from other manufacturers. I did a lot of researching before buying these tv as it has really great reviews from Digital Trends and PC Magazine. The 4k is awesome and the black levels are really good. I don’t use it for gaming so I don’t know about ghosting issues. These tv has all the major viewing platforms IMAX, Dolby Vision an HDR for half the price of other competitors There is no need for calibration these tv looks awesome straight out of the box. Watching the newest Spider Man movie in 4K it’s truly a different experience it’s like having my own IMAX theater at home. The colors really pop and the details are beyond anything I’ve seen. The tv does a good job of upscaling 1080p content. The built in speakers are decent but I added a sound bar so I can have the theater experience at home. The remote is ok nothing special and the buttons are back lit. Hisense has a winner with these tv I have never owned a Hisense I’ve always had a Sony or Samsung but I’m glad I took a chance and I don’t regret it. These is my rating 10/10.

Installation only took 15 minutes and setup went fast with automatic firmware update during intial setup. Android TV (not Google TV at the present time) is very nice and super responsive but I normally don’t use native apps because I have my Roku ultra connected. This TV is my new screen for PC gaming even though I haven’t purchased it based on it’s exclusive gaming ability (VRR and native 120Hz on 4K) plus G-sync.What turned out to purchasing this TV for me started from last year and after one unsuccessful TV I bought directly from a popular retail store and eventually forced me to dig as deep as I can with all available options and my financial limit on investing again for a new TV. My unsuccessful experience last year with a Sony Bravia (none OLED) made me to be quite cautious about the name brands and instead, just look forward to the practical usage reports and spec differences. So I went on comparing almost every OLED, Qled and… TV models from 2020 to 2021 by Sony, Samsung, LG, TLC and Hisense. I compared models with each other apple to apple and then started watching YouTube videos and finally reading people’s review on reliable websites. That’s why I am doing my best here for anyone who might go the same route as I did. The fact is, ever since the pandemic on March 2020, my life has fundamentally changed to the way I’m spending tens of hours more in my place than I ever used to do and a big portion of that time goes right in front of the TV (now thankfully, this TV). So long story short, if you don’t want to spend over 2K for a 4K TV, the only big decision would be if you like QLED or OLED? There are obvious differences between these two screen types and each one has it’s own weekness and straight against the other but at the end of the day, it’s quite depends on where you are planning to watch the TV and what types of contents you are mostly planning to watch (like SD, HD or gaming or streaming and…). If you want to experience less frustration or disappointments, you’d better to spend time and pay attention to important factors before paying for a TV. The popular TV makers usually make TVs for all identical usage case but they don’t categorize their products based on the factors I just encountered here but the technology has been used. What I like to add about this dreamy TV here is what I couldn’t find directly in any source I have ever studied and that’s the ability to upscale SD channels or SD movies. I spent a lot of time watching TV channels and basically I have TV subscription and cable box (and yes, I wouldn’t consider the traditional TV channels line up to be HD but high quality SD like what you get from watching DVDs) so this TV does what I expected and I wasn’t quite sure about until I could see it by myself. What I see now with the TV channels I have used to watch, is quite impressive to the point that I can certainly say it’s exceeded my expectations. I knew this TV is on par with Samsung Q90a when it comes to HDR content with slightly better brightness but I didn’t expect to watch SD content to this level of clarity and sharpness. Just keep two things in mind that you might need to add a soundbar to the sound system because this is like most of other brands come with limited internal speaker capabilities and for sound you might want to spend a little bit extra time to choose the right model as you get what you pay for as usual. I have had my boss soundbar already with my previous TV and I just swap it out and connect it to this one and finally, no TV is perfect right out of the box so you might want to learn how to do the right picture adjustments in order to get the most out of your TV capabilities. The result is not like day and night but it’s still quite impressive if you know what variables are essential to change and how you should adjust them to your preferences. You are not going to need screen calibration with this TV model (Hisense U8G) based on what I experienced.I should empesive my utmost happiness in doing business with Amazon as a prime member for such impressive and fast shipping and handling from the moment I ordered this TV because it only took one day and when delivered, there were two nice guys who called me a few minutes before arriving and then they brought the TV inside my place carefully which made me very grateful. If you have done your research enough and still on the edge, I would highly recommend this TV based on my personal experience. Now it’s time to have fun!Update 8/19/21- I am adding this update here for those who are serious in buying a good and affordable smart TV. Did I know where the Hisense TV originated? Yes, I was doing research for months before buying my new TV and honestly I am not a fan of chinese products at all But there are a few expectations and this turned out to be one of them. My overall rating for this TV is still 5 stars, all because I can’t give it any more. New smart TVs are complicated and there are menus and adjustments and calibrations everywhere. Don’t confuse yourself by just evaluating a product only by reading the reviews. This TV is not only one of the best available smart TVs on 2021 in the market but it might be the best TV for gaming PCs and consoles out there hands down.

This TV is unbelievably to good for the price. In terms of price to performance ratio this tv is a very good deal. It’s great for everything. However, Hisense needs to speed up the release of the final update that will fix the vertical resolution issue.
