I got this originally to clean my Beauty Blender, but since it is made for brushes, I cleaned those too. I have used other cleansers for brushes in the past and thought they were great, including the liquid cleanser by Beauty Blender, until I used this one. This takes the cake for the best brush cleanser I’ve ever used. I didn’t have to do any scrubbing or anything, each brush took about 1 second each and suddenly my hundreds of brushes were clean in the blink of an eye! I keep my brushes clean now, and I never thought I would be “that girl” who always had clean brushes…but alas here I am sitting on my high horse thanks to Ecotools. It even smells nice.

Worked great with my new brush mat. The brushes are clean and soft. The shampoo lathered well and it was immediately apparent how well it was working. It rinsed very well after each cleaning as well, making it easy to see how clean each pass had gotten the brush. I hadn’t cleaned them in a very long time so I used a fair amount of shampoo in the beginning of cleaning each brush, but after the 2nd rinse & repeat I was able to use a drop or two. There is still essentially a full bottle left, so I’m happy with how far it goes. I was buying the Ranphykx Silicon Makeup Brush Cleaning Mat and saw this as an add-on item at a reasonable price so I’m very pleased with the results. I was encouraged and happy to see no parabens or phthalates were in this product as I am trying to be conscious of those ingredients in my makeup/skincare, I certainly don’t want them on the tools I use to apply them with. The scent is faint and just has a “clean” smell to it, there’s nothing really memorable about it that comes to mind as I write this. It was non-offensive & hardly noticeable unless you were sniffing directly from the bottle. I did not notice a scent on my perfectly clean & dry brushes this morning. They just smelled clean. One note that’s really more about my lack of attention – The foil seal on the bottle is hard to peel if you have wet hands, so be a better planner than me and open that seal before you’ve wet down your brushes. Scissors were helpful to me. I will definitely repurchase once I’ve used up the bottle.

I hate washing my brushes, I’ve always done it by hand and it’s always caused the big fluffy powder brushes to feel rougher or become matted no matter how hard I try to reshape them. I got this solution and used it with a makeup brush spinner (I used the Mevolic one here Mevolic Makeup Brush Cleaner and Dryer Machine, Completely Clean in Seconds and Dry in 360 Rotation with 8 Rubber Holders, Suit for All size Makeup Brushes ), and I couldn’t BELIEVE how amazing my brushes were afterwards! I also have insanely sensitive skin and most any soap I put on a brush will cause me to breakout when I use it later, no matter how well I typically rinse it. But I really think that this cleaner + the brush spinner worked great and I haven’t had any sensitive bumps on my skin since using them.

You know how you spend time and effort to find makeup that lasts. No matter how much you makeup you may wear, using long lasting makeup comes at a cost. You can’t just rub some regular soap on your face to get that “all day mascara/eyeliner/foundation” off can you? It’s the same with your brushes. This is coming from someone who really doesn’t care to clean brushes. I only started using them about 7 years ago. It was 3 or so years after that I started trying to clean them. Rarely. And I thought vigorous scrubbing with hand soap was all you needed. It wasn’t so I thought dish soap was all you needed. It still wasn’t. I thought natural discoloration was inevitable for the lazy. Long story short, it turns out I was wrong and life is easy. Elbow grease for years was fine… until I got this stuff on a whim. The same brushes that were slowly permanently discoloring and fraying up had looked near new after my “initial” clean. I almost wish I took pictures but I I can only regret so much about a ~$5 brush cleaner.

This shampoo is the best thing that ever happened to my makeup brushes! It removed old makeup that I thought had stained my brushes for good, and left them super soft and fluffy. Baby shampoo ruined my favorite, very expensive brush, don’t try that. Also, it’s worth mentioning that it’s only a fraction of the price as the shampoo from Sephora, and works amazing!Oh, and here’s a brush drying hack I learned on YouTube. Hair ties and a towel rack.

I absolutely LOVE this brush shampoo! I purchases two bottles, as I do not often make purchases over $25 on Amazon. I was a little skeptical of how well it would clean my brushes since I had never tried it before, but after using this I am very pleased with the outcome. It has a faint ‘shampoo scent’ but nothing too overpowering, and suds like you wouldn’t believe. They got all the way down to the base of the brush and gave it a really good cleaning. One of my brushes is made from boar hair (Estee Lauder powder brush) and I was worried it was going to frizz out and ruin the shape but it actually improved it after I had previously used baby shampoo. It’s very soft and not at all coarse feeling.I also used this shampoo on my Beauty Blender, and it did a great job getting all the foundation out.All in all, I’d rate this product a 10/10!

The media could not be loaded. Loved how easy it was to use but it took SEVERAL washes to get out ALL the foundation and powder buildup. I had used Dawn dish soap and Love Beauty & Planet shampoo on my brushes but it only worked for the eyeshadow brushes. It would only take off about 30% of the foundation off my other brushes.I waited over six months to buy a makeup brush shampoo until three days ago. I learned what “panned” makeup meant and remembered how several of my old makeup products had oil build up/got wet somehow and had the chalky appearance. I vowed to not let my over $600 collection of makeup (7 palettes from Colourpop, 6 from BH Cosmetics and 1 Anastasia Hills Highlighter palette, Demon Slayer Japan imported palette and the rest is blushes, highlighters, lippies, lip masks, cream eyeliner gels) get ruined. So I spent a few nights looking to into the best budget friendly brushes and found this! It has no fragrance added and can turn a weekly cleaning into a fast one. I will no longer have to spend an hour deep soaking my brushes in Dawn dish soap or vegan shampoo.Thank you so much for having an honest working product.

This cleanser is great! It fully removes all makeup from the brushes without leaving them feeling beat up (I’m not the most gentle when it comes to cleaning brushes). I use a thick foundation that soaks heavily into the bristles, but this removed it all. At first I thought it was a bit thin, but after using it, a little bit goes a long way. It has a nice lather, but very nicely & easily rinses out.I use this with the “MelodySusie Big Size Brush Cleaner” scrubby from Amazon. I was able to clean my brushes much faster than normal, and I feel more confident that I got all the makeup off the bristles. This has a very slight (not strong at all) scent of grapefruit. It’s refreshing without me having to worry about it irritating my face or leaving a fragrance left on my brushes.

Great product, came in the mail extremely fast. It clean my brushes and sponges better than any other cleaner I used. Will buy again 😁
