I recently had an operation and needed a Depends type product during recovery in case of inconstancy.I ordered this product just in case for inconstancy after surgery. Defiantly adds dry protection when used with Fit-Flex underwear. Fit-Flex worked very well for my recovery at home, at bed time, and in public.Large end toward belly, adhesive holds well in place. Place a little toward waist band for urinary incontinence.Read on for Brief summary;I ordered XL. Size stated 44 -54. I was a waist size 50 in regular pants. 3XL for Boxers. XL definitely did not fit my belly. especially with Guard Liners. I ordered the the same Fit Flex in XXL, 55 – 64. They are comfortable, fit well, good seal in crotch and do not show through clothing. Fortunately, I only had a light small problem. I would recommend this product to anyone who wished to avoid any embarrassment or bedtime mistakes. Great product when using XXL fit was correct!Note: Small printed rectangle to note back side of product.Note: Also recommend Guard Liners.

Hey, it happens. I don’t like to think of myself as “incontinent”–I don’t pee my pants–but the day came when I had to concede that I “dribble” after urinating. Feeling like I had just checked myself into an old-folks home, I sent off for these things. The ad warns that they should not be used with boxer shorts underwear (they have an adhesive strip on the front that sticks to tighter underwear like briefs or boxer briefs. With boxers, movement of the underwear readjusts the pad. I’m in bed most of the day and in a wheelchair when not, so I thought I’d give them a try–I just don’t peel of the strip over the adhesive. These pads do catch and soak up the dribbles, and I don’t have trouble with them under my boxer shorts. If it slips aside, I just put it back. But one day in the wheelchair, waiting for an appointment in an office, I suddenly had to go. And I realized I would not make it to a rest room (I can’t stand up) or back home in time. I was in a jam. I moved to a shadowy area, reached down and clamped my hands around the pad, and released the pent-up flow (knowing I was about to pee my pants and praying it didn’t start dripping from the wheelchair). I was amazed. That little pad did swell up a bit and became very warm, but it absorbed every drop! After waiting a few minutes, I looked down. Nothing! Everything was dry! Only the pad was heavy and swollen–not even wet on the surface. I tossed it in a nearby wastebasket and went on my way to the appointment! I would not have believed it. Now when I go anywhere in the car, I have one where it’s supposed to be and another in my pocket.

I had prostate surgery, and the doctor told me to get adult diapers, but the nurse practitioner said that these male pads can do the job. And she was right! It was totally absorbent and after a few weeks, I actually started to cut them in half, as I started to heal and didn’t need a whole pad. These are so much less bulky than an adult diaper, if you are urinary incontinence, especially after prostate surgery. You will need to wear form-fitting underwear to hold them in place, so forget about trying to wear them with boxers. If you want to wear your boxers, then go to an adult diaper.

I used these for several years and as I get older rely on them almost daily to absorb leaks and keep wet spots from showing up on my pants For everyday activities they stay in place well and are a must for me while traveling. Contrary to some old reviews they have no odor of their own but may smell a bit ripe when removed after a long day depending on your personal chemistry. The exact placement of the pad may require a bit of trial and error to get the best fit for you. I also recommend the light version of these pads if you don’t leak a lot. When traveling and it is not really possible to stop I have filled one enough to take the pressure off without leakage. Just make sure it is still in place first. (Learned that the hard way) I will purchase these again and do recomend them to my friends. Sure there are other products, I tried several, you should too and find which works best for you.

My husband much prefers, for his particular use, these maximum size guards as compared to the less than maximum size guards which Amazon also sells. These guards are both larger and thicker than the less than maximum size guards. And, for him, both these maximum size and less than maximum size guards, work just fine with his boxer briefs. Some have written that you need to wear one size smaller briefs for these guards to do what they are intended to do. For some, that may be true. For my husband, who prefers to wear boxer briefs rather than a size smaller briefs, zero problems with either these maximum size guards or the less than maximum size guards. Individual differences apply.

If you are caring for someone who has incontinence issues, or if you are a man dealing with this, these guards are a big help. With my Dad, who is constantly cold and wears several layers of clothing, to change him through out the day, can be very time consuming. He wears his regular trousers or jeans but also long johns, all year long. Before I discovered the inserts, I had to get Dad completely undressed from waist down just to change a wet Depends.(Because there are no decent day time diapers with tabs, so they have to be pulled on from the feet up, not placed on like a child’s diaper with tabs on the side.)Now when Dad has only been wearing the Depends a couple of hours but I want him to feel dry, you just swop in a new insert for the old and he is all set, nice and dry in a few seconds, with out completely un dressing.

I am in my 80s and lately, I have been partially incontinent, dribbling before I can reach the bathroom in tight situations. So I started using these shields about a month ago and I find they do the job great. I started using them with boxer briefs, but they didn’t hold the shields firmly in place. Then I bought tighty-whities with a short rise. This is the right combination for me. It took a while to get used to the bulk, but now they feel secure and protective, even when I wet them. They never feel wet even though I know they’re holding a load.

I could not be more pleased . I am caring for a friend who suffers from overflow incontinence due to a neurological disorder . He had been using Teena medium absorbency pads ( which are great for the day by the way ) . He tried pull ups for sleeping as well as the Teena’s and there was always leakage which meant a wipe down with wet wipes , change of underwear and change of bed pads . In the evenings it was a constant battle to keep clean and keep dry . Always creating lots of laundry and lots of trash going through many disposable bed pads as well as leaking onto waterproof mats . These are a god send . They do not leak ! They have gathered edges that keep all the liquid in place . I could not be more happy to of found these and that they work so well . Saving us all from uncomfortable messes and being more disturbed in the night . Now it’s just a trip to the bathroom and the changing of a pad , even his underwear was still dry ! So happy this product exists , I can’t recommend enough .

I buy these for my small senior dogs who wear washable diapers due to incontinence. One has kidney failure, and drinks tons of water, so a high quality product like this really helps. These guards absorb more than any of the women’s products I’ve tried, yet they cost less. They are perfect for overnight, and it has been the only product successful in preventing leaks.

I’m 48 and occasionally run into “I have to go right now” issues. And I have for years upon years. Usually happens when I’m at a festival or concert or out walking a few miles for health. In other words, the worst possible moments when facilities are way too far away to make it in time.I used to run to the nearest facilities, not always making it and ending up a bit embarrassed. So, I thought I’d try these. I put one in as directed to line my underwear. Be sure your underwear are on the tighter-fitting side for best protection. Also, I use the top ‘target’ mark to align it with my penis. One time I had it up a bit high and urine ran out of the bottom as the top part wasn’t absorbing anything. With the pad placed lower I no longer have this issue. It can nearly hold an entire bladder full, but that varies by person. For me I release as much urine as I need to in order to feel comfortable. Then I have plenty of time to make it to a bathroom with no one the wiser. Also, they are small enough to put in a back pocket so you can have a spare… or just have one in case the urge to urinate hits and you have nowhere to immediately go. I just grab the bottom of it, leave the tape strip covers on, find a way to discreetly have my back to everyone and quickly slide it in to place, making it look like I’m adjusting my clothing. Takes a few seconds and the full panic of possibly urinating myself in public is completely gone. These have changed my life. I can go to festivals, I can sit through every song of a concert, I can go on long walks, I can enjoy historic locations and… yes… enjoy long movies where I don’t want to get up and miss something. I just let out enough urine to be comfortable and keep going on with life until I get to a bathroom! Also, a fully saturated pad will still remain dry against your skin!
