It serve its purpose…. Clean it weekly and drain the water. Love it!!! It makes a good amount of ice. It makes a noise but it’s not annoying loud it has a compressor so it’s expected 🤷🏾♀️. Overall we lovvve it!!

This is actually my second ice maker purchase. I used the other one (which is smaller) for the lake-house and filling a cooler; it is more portable. This one I use for more of my everyday use where it can just sit on a counter. The ice in this machine is more “pellet” like which means it is smaller. As a result of surface area (physics) it will cool a drink faster the more ice in the glass as opposed to larger cubes. I find it works great for smoothies or cocktails better (think margaritas) than larger ice cubes. It tends to blend faster and be a better consistency as opposed to cubes. I also feel that the blender isn’t working as hard or dulling the blades.I am not going to lie, I didn’t really need this one. But with an active lifestyle and a child who likes smoothies, which is often the only way I can get him to consume his fruit, it has been great. The scoop makes it super easy to fill the blender and it come out pretty quickly. I do leave it on the counter and always have a ready supply of ice when needed.We had some family over a birthday party recently and it was great to have the ice available for everyone’s drinks and for a blended mixed cocktail (made daiquiris) and a lot of them. As everyone knows you can’t make just a few; once everyone else sees you having one then they want one too. And once the kids see the adults with a daiquiri I had to make mock-tails. So having an amble supply of ice came in handy.I would rate this highly with 5 stars but if you want one to travel with go with the smaller one.

FIVE STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve had the Crownful for about 2 weeks and I decided on this one because of the reviews. The ice is PERFECTLY CRUNCHABLE. It’s not exactly Sonic ice in my opinion, but it’s pretty close. I switch it on in the morning along with my coffee maker and refill mid afternoon (my family loves the ice now too). The noise is minimal, a low humming, but nothing louder than the fridge. Set up was easy, I cleaned the inside of the basin with a Lysol wipe and poured in the water. I use a gallon of drinking water from the store and not tap water because I didn’t read about descaling or cleaning the device.I’ve been going to Sonic to get ice for years, now I only need to go to my own kitchen. I’m calling this buy a total win. I can’t advise whether or not my dentist would endorse this product, although it’s better than eating the hard ice cubes that come out of the fridge. In a world full of countless options for addiction, I think calorie free semi soft ice crunching is something I can’t live without.

My family absolutely loves this ice nugget machine. I’ve searched for years for an ice machine of this type and read 1000s of reviews before purchasing. This little gem makes the perfect ice for any beverage for “ice queens” such as myself. Perfect texture, softness, shape and taste. You can hook this ice machine directly into your water line or fill it manually to make ice as your needs require. We leave it plugged in 24/7, and we have ice 24/7. Filling w/ water takes about 10 cups of water for 3lbs of mouthwatering Sonic-style ice. The neatest thing about this machine is you don’t have to hook directly into a water line, but the hoses are included should you ever change your mind. You can manually fill w/ water still have ice 24/7. We use filtered tap water and the ice is refreshingly tasty and odorless. The ice stays frozen in the “bucket” throughout the night and there is plenty to use in the am. Once the door to the machine is opened, it automatically starts making ice w/ the ice that melted overnight or the water in the reservoir. It will automatically shut off once the sensor senses the bin is full. The ice remains fluffy, soft and the perfect texture regardless of when you use the ice. The ice machine has a slight hum while working, but nothing obnoxious or obtrusive. I’ll gladly listen to this little gem purr while it churns out those oh so wonderful frozen nibs of ice! This machine is a perfect 10 for our needs and a much welcomed addition! As an “ice queen” this machine is royally the best money can buy!

I would absolutely recommend the Crownful Nugget icemaker. I’ve had this icemaker for around six months now, and I’m literally addicted to chewing the soft crunchy ice (as well as my sister and her family!). The icemaker is quiet and super easy to use (just pour distilled water into it and watch it go). Don’t waste your money with the more expensive machines – – this one is awesome!!!

I over-research all large purchases and this was no exception. Wanted a nugget ice maker for our new wet bar and was all set to buy the GE Opal but was concerned about all the lukewarm reviews given its hefty price tag. After reading reviews for every competitive offering on Amazon decided to get the Crownful and so glad I did. Works great – love the easy access tilt up door and removable basket. Also love that you pour additional water right into same compartment instead of messing with removable tank (like our keurig has). If you zoom in on the photos and compare to the Opal they make identical ice. And this thing makes LOTS of it. Started producing in about 20 minutes and even with me scooping it up as fast as it could make it to put in a couple of mixed drinks it filled its basket in no time and has had no trouble keeping up since. The ice storage must be well insulated because even overnight there’s still plenty of unmelted ice the next morning. I think what pushed me to pull the trigger on this one was several reviews from people who’d gone through 2 or 3 Opals in a very short period of time. I’m thinking you could buy 2 of these for what the Opal costs and literally have a spare. Oh and here’s what else my research revealed: this and the Opal are the only 2 nugget ice makers Amazon sells an extended warranty on but it was $90 on the Opal and $12 on this one – that’s a no brainer. But it gets better – if you register it with the manufacturer they upgrade the first year limited warranty to a one year replacement warranty. Buy this! You won’t be disappointed.

I love this!! I have it located next to my water dispenser so that I get filtered water for the ice. (Maybe later I will see if I can get it hooked up to a waterline!) It is easy to fill and to clean. Ice is made fast and I love the nuggets! It makes some noise but is not intrusive. I love it for these hot days when my freezer can’t keep up with the demand. It is great and I highly recommend it!~
