It works well on I40 between san Bernardino and Albuquerque. Reception is clear when the antenna is hanging out the window, static is heard with the windows rolled up. If this CB ends up in your cart, I would recommend buying a BNC CB radio antenna. Radio uses AA batteries (not included) I added rechargeable AA (100mAh) batteries and extremely happy (car charger included)

This is a gift for my husband. He loves it and says it works well. It is a pretty substantial piece of equipment It was a birthday present from our youngest son. I know he will get plenty of use out of it. He is hard to please so …… …

I didn’t get this to use as a walkie talkie but, to listen to people talking when the skip was running from our hunting camp. I was in the U.P. of Michigan and was listening to people from down south, both coasts and even a guy in Jamaica.

Well made and works well. Recognize that effective range will be limited with short, rubber antenna. Suggest you add expandable antenna if you expect to need more range. Great little handheld radio.

I use it for my long road trips to keep in touch with road conditions around my routes

I don’t always take the same truck so I needed something to take with me to contact the scale house at this place I go to. This did just exactly that. I can’t attest to battery life because I just run this off the provided DC power plug for the very short time I’m on the site.

At my job CB’s are a must but I had to get a handheld because I wasn’t always In the same Vehicle and needed it with me at all times. The range on it is definitely better then the last handheld I Had by far!! It’s still not as good as the CB’s in the trucks but for a handheld it’s the best I have had so far. I definitely it. Have been using it for about 5/6 months now and so far So good

Excellent for what it is, which is a battery powered CB. I use this for jeep trips and it isn’t strong enough for large, long caravans like you’d find at EJS or a Jamboree event. You need a full blown CB with external antenna for that. In a smaller group of about 5-6, it is great.

Construction feels solid. Rather heavy handheld considering its plastic. The S/T filter works well and remains on even after turning the unit off and back on again. Speaker quality is better than my jeep’s Cobra C75WXST, and so is the backlighting. When used while caravanning to the mountains, reception range in vehicle was solid within a couple hundred yards. However, transmission range was about 100 yards max. When tested in home, unit easily received from my jeep from a mile away. However, transmissions to my jeep were only received up to about 300 yards. For my usage while wheeling (backup) or passing it along to someone venturing a little ways from the group on foot, it works well.
