   When I walk into the grocery store, I cringe at the price of toilet paper. I started buying Charmin mega rolls via Amazon quite a while ago when all the kids were at the house and I really like it. It lasts much longer at our house and usually takes a couple of months to go through the case. I always get the red package, because the tissue doesn’t break apart of leave remnants behind like the Charmin in the blue package and other brands do. The mega rolls last a long time. Surprisingly, it doesn’t clog our sewer pump either, which was happening before. I love the convenience and I’d rather pay a little more for this case to have it last longer.

   I used to subscribe to the presto ultra-strong twice and I found that the fuzzies are annoying me, so I decided to try the Charmin brand. I tried the Charmin ultra-soft last year, and I think the fuzzies are much less. Ultra-strong is also soft and thick.Comparing with the presto one, they both have the same size and thickness. I like it and I think it’s worthwhile subscribing online.

   Lets face it, it’s TP how much more can you say? It’s strong and very soft and it does the job that it’s intended to do. A word of caution. The roll is large and it doesn’t fit in a normal holder. to fix that go to Charmins web site and have them send you their roll extenders. They will send you three for free. It takes a month to get them.

   These rolls are almost comically large in diameter. Like, it’s obvious that Chad (the Nephew of Janice from finance) was in his first meeting at Charmin, and they were just sitting around trying to think of packaging variants to fill up more shelf frontage and therefore have a larger foot-print in the store. The room was silent for a moment when Chad piped up. You know, they’re nice people just trying to make it in the t.p. business and didn’t want to shut the new guy down. So, they floated the idea up to the VP of package design, he liked it, and now new little Chad isn’t so meek and thinks he owns the place. He even got a new Camry. Anyway, in that respect, this t.p. feels a bit contrived. Fortunately, the grandiose rolls do still fit into my rather pedestrian toilet paper holder, which is nice. Really elevates the entire room. But like, just barely.

   So I bought these because they were priced well in bulk and I don’t have a car so traveling with the big box of paper products didn’t make much sense when you can just get it sent to your house.I hear toilet paper became a huge commodity during a respiratory viral pandemic and it has occurred to me that a large portion of dumb people talk out their behinds. This is why they bought all the toilet paper. To the rest of y’all who don’t get your regular monthly supply and now have to scoot across the yard I am sorry. Things could have been different. You could have had auto delivery. Those people would have instead thought maybe now would be the time to get cough drops and some NyQuil. But no. You live in a world where people will wear a face mask on their butt.

   I have been ordering Charmin Ultra Strong from Amazon for over a year now. I recently ran out of toilet paper and decided to get a few rolls at one of the popular department store in town while my order arrived from Amazon. The Mega Rolls that come in the Amazon package are of way higher quality and it’s very obvious when I compared the two. The sheets from the Amazon package are way thicker, the embossed patterns are more noticeable, the paper doesn’t shred or tear and is very durable, and the rolls look a bit thicker even though the packaging is the same. The price on Amazon is also cheaper when you order the Mega Roll 24 count (per roll), than the price I paid at the grocery store.

   I really enjoy these compared to the off-brand ones that my dad buys. Those cheaper ones tend to be thin and rip easily with lots of particles that seem to fly around every time I use them, and not to mention, it feels more like I’m just smearing rather than cleaning, leaving me feeling awfully uncomfortable. I was looking around for a better brand, and I read good reviews about Charmin Ultra Strong.We bought a pack at Lowe’s (my dad complaining about the price as we left), and the problems I had with the off-brand were nowhere to be found. I’m glad I was able to find a nice deal on Amazon! I’m recently new to purchasing items from here (this is only my 3rd one lol), but I’m slowly gaining confidence and understanding of how convenient it is. I’m not quite sure if I’m brave enough to take the next step and subscribing, but I’ll see how long this delivery lasts, and maybe it’ll be my first. Thank you!

   In the TP apocalypse of 2020, who thought we’d all be on Amazon buying toilet paper and not other more useful trinkets? But hey, Amazon wants a review of toilet paper, I’m happy to oblige.Charmin Strong isn’t my normal product. I lean toward Charmin Soft, and usually get it from the warehouse club store that shall not be named here. We aren’t a huge household, so a warehouse club sized package of toilet paper lasts many months, and since we are logical people we didn’t panic and go out and buy massive quantities of disposable paper products when the pandemic was announced. We had plenty on hand and frankly if current events are really going to be disruptive of manufacturing processes, I think there are other things we should and could be more concerned about.Months pass and rather than visit the warehouse club that shall not be named, I turned to trusty Amazon for my toilet paper needs. I wasn’t disappointed. Well, actually I was since Charmin Soft was nowhere to be found on Amazon when I placed this order. So I accepted an alternate, Charmin Strong. It arrived on time and in great condition and now some thoughts.Charmin Strong is not nearly as soft as Charmin Soft, I guess that is the Captain Obvious statement of the day. However it is effective, and is much nicer to use than some of those low cost, large roll brands you can find at restaurant supply stores and in your typical 3-star hotel bathroom. Rolls are very big around and last much longer than our usual Charmin product. The rolls are so large that Charmin advertises that you can go to a web site and get a free toilet paper holder stick which gives you more room in a wall mount toilet paper holder for the big rolls. I feel fortunate that all of our TP holders in the house are fairly new and seem to handle the big roll easily.The texture of the TP is a bit thicker than Charmin Soft, and also feels less “fuzzy”. I’d say the two products are equally effective at their assigned tasks, however Strong seems better suited to not allow “break thrus”. Not that this happens much in our household, but sometimes it isn’t avoidable.TP is a very personal choice, if you are ok with gas station sandpaper, then you get the benefit of spending less on something you throw away and more on the aforementioned trinkets at Amazon which are much more interesting than TP. However, if you want to be somewhat clean after your duce and not feel like you drug a dry maple leaf between your sitting cushions, Charmin Strong is probably a better choice. Anyway, how much are you really saving when you buy low quality toilet paper?

   I have a sensitive butt. I get butt hurt very easily. However, this toilet paper is soft on my bum even if I wipe to hard or too often. It doesn’t rip apart when I have an aggressive wiping session. I told my employer that they needed to get some for the shop, but was told I was being petty and my bathroom issues were inappropriate to talk about at work.

    Ultra strong TP for my intimate parts. It works. It holds firm. It doesn’t fall apart when the going gets tough. No worries of extra stuff getting on your sensitive hands. I’ll buy another Family Mega Pack soon… even though I live alone. FML.
