Everyone!!!….. I’m telling you, this RIGHT HERE, people, is the Bomb-Diggitty! At full blast, I drown out everyone else’s portable speakers on the job sites. As you can tell from my pic, I use my Bose Flex mainly for killing that monotony of boring equipment noise on the job, which it’s perfect for due to its water proof/dust proof features. On top of all that, this puppy BANGS! You’ll love it.

These are my first portable speakers. I bought two of them to be able to use both the stereo and party mode functions. They are beyond my expectations. All ranges of sound are crystal clear at all volumes. One side note: I recently read on a review forum where a customer mentioned that calling Bose for tech help was near impossible and that you might not be able to reach anybody at all. I called to get some help on getting my second speaker to pair with the first speaker. Rep returned my call within five minutes and calmly walked me threw a few simple steps to easy set up. Love these speakers……and Bose, too.Update: Two points I would mention. Unless, I’m doing something wrong, in the process, you need to physically handle each speaker separately in order to link/pair them. That is every time you use them! They don’t stay paired after turned off. This should happen in the app, but you need to touch and hold the speakers. Update: I have since learned that people like myself (always keep the speakers on charging, because we use them as room speakers only) just have to go to the Bose Connect App and toggle on “never” shut down. This will avoid handling the speakers to pair them again each and every time they turn on. Because they are always on.Second, the full charging time can be anywhere from six to twelve hours to complete. Be prepared for that.Update: After around four days of using both of these speakers, one of them just died. No response at all. Sending it back for a replacement, as I love the sound of two of these together. In fact, there is no going back to just having one of them. Hope my problem was isolated.Update: I realized that I returned a perfectly good speaker because I didn’t realize that when the battery is dead and you plug it in to charge it that no light will appear until there is a minimum amount of charge loaded. You may assume that once plugged in that you will be able to see it charging immediately. Just wait a bit before you return a working speaker.Update: January 5, 2022Something a bit strange has happened to these speakers. It must be some kind of OTA update that I was not aware of. I play both of them steady from around 10:00 pm to 5:00 am every night. Always the exact same time and always at the same volume and even the same content during that period. Always starting at 100% capacity. When they were new they consumed 50% to 60% power for those hours. Now they consume 20% of the power for the same hours. No idea what’s going on here. I have read that cell phones and other devices tend to “improve” on power consumption over time. But this is a bit odd?

    Tango’s product reviews

OK so I have been using this product now for approximately 24 hours and I must say that I am highly impressed with the quality of the sound as well as how easy it was to use. I will be providing a this review so that you can make your own decision prior to purchase. So immediately from the start I did notice that the speakers were very heavy indicating high quality product and high quality magnates were used in this speaker. So the speaker itself weighs approximately 2 pounds and seems to be very durable .I did charge the speaker for approximately 2 1/2 hours until it reached full. You can tell the percentage level by pressing the power button onceI then downloaded the bose connect app and installed it as normal. I did notice it came up with two blue tooth connections one I believe is for the app and one is if you don’t use the app and just decide to hook it directly to bluetooith. Once the app was paired I was able to play music through it. While the plain non equalized sound is good I feel it could be better. Which is why I used the equalizer built into my phone to adjust the sound. The Bass in this small speaker is a much better and much more defined than most bluetooith speakers currently on the market. I have had the privilege of using professional grade speakers as well as lower grade speakers and I will tell you that that this does measure up to professional grade sound. Keep in mind, the sound quality is only going to be as good as the music you put through the speaker. I had put high definition audio through this speaker and it was crystal clear. At lower volumes and high volumes. There was almost no distortion detectable however I did notice some at a very high volume when the brunt of the speaker was covered. Please note do not cover the brunt of the speaker as this is I believe classified as an open air speaker which is what defines its bass. So let’s get on to the specifics now. The battery, it’s not bad I had this playing at about 60% volume for approximately 7 1/2 hours straight and for the remainder half hour it was on the maximum volume and when I finally shut it off it still had 30% power remaining. That being said, I believe this should easily get between 10 and 12 HRS to a full charge. It does take approximately 4 hours to charge it from almost nothing . But if you have a three amp charger like I have it does appear to go a little quicker. One thing to keep in mind and it is recommended that you use the charging cord that comes with the unit is that if you use an extended cord it will take longer to charge. This is why bose recommends using their charge cord. I will say that im highly satisfied with this purchase. And feel very comfortable giving this a five star rating despite the 4 hour charge time. The speaker measures approximately 3 1/2 inch by 8 inches with a 1½ inch fabric a loop the depth of this speaker measures at about 2 inches. One thing that I should know right now is that this does not come with a Caribeaner clip. I will recommend that if you like the option of using the clip then you should definitely get a clip with a flat base so that it will fit correctly. So to sum up this review this is a no brainer and bose has continued to make their presence known for quality over quantity. Even in the harsh economic environment of the United States this $139 speaker packs a punch of easily a 200 dollar speaker. If you are looking for a great sounding long lasting bluetooith speaker look no further because this is it.As with all of my reviews I do recommend that you follow them because I will be updating them periodically sell as to keep you properly informed.

I bought these speakers as soon as they were released even though I can no longer go to a Bose Store to test them. I own the Bose Soundlink Micro, Soundlink Color and Revolve+. As soon as I paired these speakers in Stereo Mode and played all kinds of music from my YouTube Music Library, I was amazed by how much technology has evolved in the past 5 years. These speakers get louder than the Micro and Color and aren’t that much larger than those two but feel so strong and sturdy! Even though they are not 360 degrees like the Revolve+ and don’t have the same amount of bass, their sound quality is pristine, clean, clear and the bass completes the sound in a extremely impressive way from the lowest volumes to the loudest accross all music genres. I think I can say no other speaker lower in price or at slightly higher prices from other manufacturers, can stand next to these. They bring out nuances with amazing stereo separation and imaging when paired in stereo mode (I dont like Party Mode) far beyond anything I have heard from my Revolve+.Note: I would take away 1 star because unlike the Revolve+, Soundlink Color and Soundlink Micro, these speakers sometimes are REALLY HARD to get to pair in Party Mode or Stereo Mode in the Bose Connect App, and I expect Bose to fix the pairing issues in future firmware releases. However, since the sound quality is so amazing I can’t give them 4 stars. Also they love to eat their battery charge quite fast at medium to higher volume levels.IMPORTANT: You will be missing a lot of sound quality and details in your music if you buy just one of these speakers. If you can’t afford to buy two right away, start saving for a second speaker to be amazed in the near future. They are worth every penny.

I work from home and attend a lot of meetings online, Microsoft teams, Skype, zoom etc. The best feature about this SoundLink system is the microphone. People tell me that they can hear me a lot clearer than when I had other microphones or called in using a telephone into a meeting. Beware, you can only connect to two devices at one time. So for example, if you’re connected to your cell phone and an iPad, then you try to connect with your computer, say to attend the online meeting, you have to turn off at least one device so that this one connects. SoundLink syncs up extremely effectively with my cell phone. I have an iPhone and when I talk through SoundLink, I am told that my voice is so much clearer than when I use the cell phone speaker, and that’s with the sound link sitting on the table next to me and not with my mouth up next to it. Same when syncing with an iPad. When I FaceTime my brother, sound clarity are simply amazing. This so far has been the best investment for my professional life working from home.

Recently I visited family in Phoenix. While there I visited my brother-in-law and his family who were staying at a B&B. While sitting on the patio with fans and misters overhead cooling us down in the 107 degree temperature I noticed that my brother-in-law was playing music from his cellphone through his portable Bose Bluetooth speaker. I was amazed at the sound and since then I have been looking for a portable speaker to use on the run. When I was given a chance to review a case for a portable Bose speaker, I noticed that this product is often purchased with the case. After reading the reviews, I purchased this product and am so glad that I did. I have reviewed many portable Bluetooth speakers over the years, but the sound from this one is the best I have ever heard and it is by far the easiest to set up.The day that I received this product and was charging it, our internet company was working on their lines and prevented our whole neighborhood from using our computers, televisions, landline telephones and any other items connected to the WiFi.Realizing that I did not need WiFi to listen to music on my iPhone, I paired my iPhone with this Bose Speaker easily and my wife and I spent the evening to beautiful music from both purchased albums I previously purchased and from Pandora. After charging the speaker, I pushed the power button and it announced that the Bose was 100 percent charged. I then went to my iPhone setting and tapped the Blue Tooth button turning it on. I set the iPhone and speaker near each other and and pushed the BlueTooth icon on the side of the Bose speaker. Soon the My Devices line on my iPhone showed Bose Fex Sound Link was connected. I then tapped the music icon on my iPhone and just like that the music began. Using the Bose “+” and “-“ symbols on the Bose to adjust the volume pleasing to both my wife and I we enjoyed the incredible tone of this fantastic speaker. When we were finished listening to music, I simply pressed the icon for power off on the side of the speaker and closed my music iPhone app. The next day I check my Bluetooth under my setting on my iPhone and noticed that I was not connected, but after pressing the power on button on the Bose Speaker I notice the settings on my iPhone immediately showed connect again.Folks, if you love music and the rich sound of via premier speakers, I don’t believe that you will find a better sounding portable, rugged, waterproof one for $150 that sounds this great and is this easy to use.I recommend this speaker to family, friends, and other people I care about. I am thinking about buying one of these for my adult son as a Christmas present.Enjoy!

I use this speaker while on the home treadmill, rowing machine, and elliptical. It pairs quickly and easily with my iPhone via the Bose app, and the battery life is impressive. I’ve found battery life only falls about 10% per every continuous hour used. For me, the sound quality is excellent. Listening to music, the bass seems rich, the mid-ranges strong, and the upper ranges vibrant. I also listen to podcasts and audiobooks, and sound quality remains very impressive. Honestly, I’ve yet to find a weakness or a “con” in this product.Other than for my running shoes, the Soundlink Flex is the best money I’ve spent for fitness in a long, long time.Very highly recommended.

So far after a few hours I really like it- normally when I get a new audio item it is a period of adjustment for me.I have owned other bluetooth speakers and this one really stands out in the clarity of the mid range.I had traded in my JBL soundlink but then realized I needed one to replace it and this fits the bill.I might get a second one to pair in studio.I hope Bose updates so one would access this from the Bose Music app and then could perhaps do some EQ.Years ago I owned the Mint Bose Soundlink; I liked it but this current Flex is much louder. In fact, for the space I am in I might not even need a second one.
