   After trying out a Bose sound bar and failing to get it work properly (extremely poor instructions) I decided to purchase a sound bar made by the same company as my new TV (LG).It installed promptly except for the separate bass unit…which did not want to cooperate at first. (Poor instructions again. The wed sit referred to in the instructions is pitiful. Its best to try and find a utube example and following those instructions. Its amazing to me that a very large company would issue such terrible installation instructions.) In defense of LG, the sound bar installed almost by itself. The bass unit finally installed after I started over.The remote control received a poor grade for the same reasons as mentioned above…poor instructions. It did pair with my LG TV remote automatically and I like that feature.The sound bar works really well. If you consider yourself an audiophile you probably don’t want this sound bar. But its perfect for me…so far.I don’t use the Alexa integration so did not score that feature.

   I ordered direct from Bose & saved $30 with my education discount. This is my first soundbar, reluctantly as I have an older but very functional and loud 5.1 system. I’m older now and just don’t need the space it takes up nor earth-shaking bass. This new 300 is like a combination of the older 500 and 700 models in size and sound.It’s loud, it’s clear, and after adjusting the bass, treble, and mid sounds on the app – it’s a very well balanced sound great for TV, movies, and Music. I’m impressed.Alexa works great. And the Bose Music App well it’s awesome. I do have the 300 Home speaker (which is also ridiculously loud and easy to use) so this prompted me to stay in-brand as I can connect the speakers with the app. My favorite part of the app is I can control the volumes anywhere in the house – so I when I go to bed and my wife is still up and the tv is too loud, I lower it myself.I set up with HDMI Arc on my LQ 75in TV – it took 2 tries but it works. One LG remote controls the tv, soundbar, and AppleTV.I don’t have cable TV but you need that in order to use the new Voice4Video Bose built-in. Alexa won’t control my AppleTV nor TV like ‘change input’. It’s really meant for changing channels on a cable box.Very pleased. I can’t imagine the Sonos Beam which this is meant to compete with, sounds as good.

   Pros:-Sound Quality is absolutely excellent. Bose added in a tweeter in the center of the bar, so highs are bright. This also contains 4 full-range speakers which are larger than the old Solo 5 design and have a higher quality sound. This bar can go incredibly loud and sounds clean and detailed all the way. Having 4 speakers gives a fullness and surround quality that left me disappointed when listening to my older Solo 5 model afterwards.-Build Quality is excellent which is to be expected from Bose.-HDMI Arc performs well (i.e. turns on the bar when it’s supposed to, not a noticeable delay other than when powering on)Cons:-The only ability to tune the sound is through the app which has to be connected to Wifi. This may not sound like a big deal, but I originally bought this for use in my RV which means that I’m stuck with the defaults. The Bose TV speaker may be a better option for RVs, but I’d rather the 300 work as it has the two additional speakers on each end with some exposure on the front.-Only a small remote available with no audio tuning options-The bass has great sound quality, but low frequencies drop off early. The bass module fixes this I’m sure, but at what cost.I didn’t buy this for Alexa, so I keep the spy features turned off by not configuring them.

   This soundbar is exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. The sound quality is great and it fits perfectly with my 42″ TV.I love having Alexa in the soundbar as it controls my TV and my FireTV. I use it to listen to music during the day now too working from home now. I honestly feel like the purchase has been 10/10, no regrets and I would 100% recommend to anyone. Great price, ample functionality, and amazing sound.

   It works as well as it looks: has a nice look and feels well-built! It sounds nice, but it would sound even better with the whole set. It works well for me for now since I live in a small apartment, but I might consider getting the whole set someday. Otherwise it works great: I got it to work through HDMI ARC and optical connections. I can’t speak for the Bluetooth connection since the other connection options work perfectly fine and as a result I didn’t bother checking out the BT option. Overall I’m quite satisfied with this soundbar!

   Bose Smart Soundbar 300 Bluetooth connectivity with Alexa Voice Control Built in, BlackEasy to set up and connect to television and to music appsIncludes a small remote with a simple to use interfaceEasy to sync in order to use Apple airplayOnly item we’ve not been able set-up and Alexa voice control at this point is are cable box beginning to wonder if this is due to cable boxes age possiblySound quality is what you would expect from Bose it’s absolutely beautiful and strongWether we are watching television or listening to music the sound transfers beautifully and clearly.The Bose app does give the option to go through and adjust or tweak items such as the bass and trebleWe replaced and larger sound bar and sub woofer with this Bose sound bar and could not be happier with are choice in doing so

   I love this soundbar..I love that there are no cheesy, thin sounding, fake surround modes and no useless bells and whistles. I love how the bass is actually balanced and there are no bass boosting options that make everything sound like stupidity…This sounds 100 times better than the Yamaha YAS-109 that I returned.

   First- The shipping of the Bose 300 soundbar box inside a shipping box was a nice touch. I’ve purchased other products where a shipping label was slapped on the product box and that was it. Extra points for the careful shipping.Second- The set up was ultra easy, Didn’t even need the YouTube video I watched while I was waiting for it to arrive. Out of the box and playing in less than 20 minutes.Third – which should be first. The sound just blew me away! WOW! No matter what I listened to, a movie, music, an audiobook, or SiriusXM the sound was awesome, especially the base!I didn’t know Alexa or Google Assistant was an included option so that was a pleasant surprise.Don’t use the remote control much so I gave it an average rating but I’m sure it better than that. I use the use the Bose app to control the 300 which works better for me.I was considering the 700 but the 300 works just fine!! No complaints and I’d certainly recommend others give it a try.

   When I first hooked it up I was underwhelmed. I didn’t realize the app was necessary. Once I went through the setup with app, adjusted the bass and treble to my liking, it was much better. Fills our space very nicely. Added the base module 500 wirelessly today. Used the app to connect them and adjusted the bass on that, and the spin is just fantastic. I’m sure there is better out there if you want to spend spend, but for the money, this setup works very good for our space. When the satellite speakers come back in stock at the end of March we will add those. What I like about this, is being able to add to the sound over time rather than having to go broke buying a complete system all at once. While the sound of the bar by itself was good without the bass, it lacked full punch for movies, I recommend adding it when money allows. It adds a lot to the sound.

    First off, I love Bose…have had multiple products from them. I recently had a 7.1 surround system in the house. Great sound, but took way too much space with cables everywhere. This soundbar from Bose is amazing, with great quality sound with the ability to clearly understand what people are stating. I can’t recommend this enough. It’s fantastic. The ability to work with your Bose wireless headphones and Alexa is just added bonus. You won’t be disappointed.
