Starts to kill fleas within one hour

A single dose of advantus kills adult fleas on your dog, and it is in and out of their system within 24 hours. If there are fleas in your dog’s environment and your dog becomes re-infested, you can safely repeat treatment as often as once per day.

advantus works for dogs and puppies that are at least 10 weeks old and weigh at least 4 pounds.

Safe and effective flea treatment

advantus contains the active ingredient imidacloprid, which spreads throughout your dog’s body. When fleas ingest the product, the active ingredient overstimulates the flea’s nervous system and kills the flea. It is an FDA-approved flea soft chew for dogs to use at the first sign of fleas.

Use advantus with other products

advantus can be used with other products such as heartworm preventives, corticosteroids, antibiotics, vaccines, de-worming medications, and shampoos. See the product label for more details.

I have 4 dogs and a big back yard with lots of squirrels. Having fleas has been an issue I have had to deal with for a very long time. Bathing the dogs with flea shampoo and treating the yard every week is a real pain in the A$$ with no real results. Using drops only lasts about a week and is crazy expensive. I found these chewables at my local PetsMart at a ridiculously expensive price but bought them anyway to try them out. WOW!!! I mean like, what a life changer this has been. The results are absolutely amazing. Within a day of using these there were no fleas on my girls at all. I was so impressed that I looked here on Amazon to see if I could find them cheaper than PetsMart. I mean, WOW again!!!!!! I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a reasonable relief. As long as you follow the instructions and give one chewable a day, it works great. I have tried intermittently skipping a day to make them last longer and the results are just as good. I’m going on a month with this product and I am so pleased and happy. So are my dogs!

I have to say, I was a quite skeptical, even after reading the reviews. I mean, it seems like every product to control fleas people rave about are just appetizers for Florida fleas!!!! I took a leap and purchased this product. I am SO glad I did! I have a bulldog that loves to be outside…nothing worked. I gave him one and waited to see if it REALLY would work in an hour…of course it didn’t….but after a few hours, I did notice he wasn’t scratching. I decided to give him one the next day…and the next day…and the next…NO FLEAS! Nothing…not in my house, not in my carpet, not on my dog!!! So, now I’m on my second bottle…he loves them. He thinks they are treats. Did I mention he’s a very large dog? Anyway…don’t hesitate…buy it. It’s more cost effective than the topicals that only last 2 weeks…if that long.

Absolutely worth every cent spent on this flea medicine.. couldn’t be happier with the results. We had recently taken in a stray, which we didn’t know had fleas as bad as she did. My oldest baby is allergic to fleas and completely tore up her back from itching. We had tried Dawn dish soap baths, which worked as long as they stayed out of their room, but were reinfested the second they laid down. A near month of watching my baby be in pain, I couldn’t take it anymore. The cost is what turned me away at first, but geez I didn’t know how great it would work or we would have gotten it sooner.A few days after we gave all 3 of our dogs (a 8yo pit bull mix, a 5yo collie mix, and the stray jack terrier pup) these pills we stopped seeing live fleas.. about a week and a half after we started these pills my baby’s hair started growing back. Definitely recommending these pills to anyone with any type of flea problem. It’s completely worth it, honest.

My 70 lb 1 year old labradoodle did not take the chews willingly so I had to hide it in his regular food.During summer months fleas are relentless and I tried everything under the sun and nothing worked. Until I heard about these chews so I said why not. After maybe 1.5 days of giving the chews to my dood his scratching significantly lessened and eventually stopped.I did not notice any change in his behavior or health while he was taking the chews.I have stopped giving him the chews once the weather got colder and he is still flea free. Planning to start giving him the chews again once the weather gets warmer/hotter.

These are about a 1/2 inch cube in size and work quite well. After one day i saw a flea on my dog (boxer) and it was barely alive. I would recommentcontinuing the product until the lifecyle of the fleas is well over with to include the eggs hatching and the new fleas are killed. My dogs have had zero reaction to this product and I am very careful about I give them. I have had dogs that didn’t do well with the products that resemble baby oil that is put on the scruff of the neck (advantage and the like), but I have had zero issues with this chewable product. Lastly, this product works by killing the fleas after they bite your pet so don’t think it will immediately rid you pet of fleas. There is a lifecycle of eggs hatching etc. that must be accounted for.

Had a dog with lots of fleas. This product got rid of them. The 60 lb pit bull is now flea free. Oh, it has a very good price compared to pet stores.

UPDATE: It didn’t work right away, but after a week of giving this to my big girl, she is clear of fleas. I gave her a real good once over this morning and I was actually shocked. So, if it doesn’t seem to be working at first, don’t give up. Maybe in larger dogs it takes longer to build up in their system. She has so much fur, so I am, again, SHOCKED!!!OLD REVIEW: So far, it hasn’t worked on any of my sized dogs. It has turned out to be a super expensive doggie treat. They really love the flavor. At 1.80 per niblet, that is too boojie.

I had tried everything from nearly daily bathing in flea shampoo, bombed the house, sprayed the yard, and yes, lavender oil. Nothing worked more than a day. My dog was truly infested. Four or five hours after the first dose I ran the flea comb down her back and came out with dozens of dead fleas. When I came home from work the next day i could only find two live fleas. It’s been five days/doses and I haven’t found a single one since day two. It’s too expensive for me as a daily, but I certainly recommend this for handling infested dogs.

Finally, it took 75 days of treatment before effective. So, you need 3x bottles. We tried one bottle first. We also vacuumed the apartment often, and we’re careful we didn’t miss a day. A few days after stop, the dog was again scratching himself again. Even tho the treatment kills fleas AFTER biting, it didn’t stop them biting, even if it killed them.So we got 3 containers, and fed him a pill every single day. As long as he scratched even once, we continued. We wanted to exhaust the dormant supply of possible flea eggs around the apartment, and after 75 days, the scratching stopped finally. We continued with the remaining dozen or so pills just in case.4 months have passed and he’s flea free!!!Even a single dormant egg can send you back to square one, and you’ll never get them all. We tried EVERYTHING else like flea bombs, flea collars, daily baths. Everything. Flea eggs can last a couple of months, and you’ll never vacuum them all up. Bite the bullet and buy three months supply. So for about $170, you can totally get rid of your dog’s fleas. One bottle ain’t gonna do it if your dog lives where the eggs are.VERY effective.Highly recommended.

We had a sever flea and tick problem with both of our large dogs. Two days after the dogs started taking this product, the fleas and ticks were off of the dogs. One of the dogs would not tolerate me using the liquid formulas. Tried these chews and the dogs took the treats without hesitation. Great solution to our problem.
