Just me in wv –
My senior citizen kitty has been on this for about fifteen years. She was having urinary issues and the vet suggested this. She is now 20 years old and has outlived her brothers and sisters. (They lived elsewhere and ate canned food) The price is competitive with local stores, plus post surgery I needed it delivered to the house! I don’t know what I’d do without Amazon!

Here is a question for the masses : WHY don’t the cat food companies make ALL cat food in such a way as to prevent Feline Urological Syndrome (FUS) ? I’m serious! Why must consumer’s and cat owners have to KNOW that MOST cat foods are formulated in such a way that they can CAUSE FUS!!?? Shouldn’t it be the responsibility of the cat food manufacturer’s to make sure that your pet does not get CRYSTALS forming in their urine (caused by too much Magnesium) that BLOCK the urinary tract and can ultimately KILL your cat? All this because the food is MADE with too much Magnesium (Otherwise known as “ASH”)?!NINE LIVES GETS IT. They have created an affordable and healthy food for cats (that they seem to love by the way) with considerably lower amounts of Magnesium. And although in the past, I know that some manufacturer’s have had Urinary Tract Health formulas in their product line, I am currently unaware of any but Nine Lives that has a solution to this issue. Even the manufacturer’s of the ridiculously expensive foods like IAMS and Eukanuba, etc don’t seem to get that this is a VERY REAL problem. Male cats are more susceptible than females, but they are ALL AT RISK WITH EACH AND EVERY KIBBLE OR SPOONFUL.It should be against the law to continue making ANY food that CAUSES FUS in our pets.Thank you, Nine Lives, for being there and understanding that even we folks that can’t pay absurd amounts of money still want our pets to be healthy.

We have a cat that hangs around our house and of course will only come around when he’s hungry and my wife likes to feed him in the morning and at night. He devours the food in no time, I’m sure he would be willing to eat just about anything though. This is a huge bag of cat food you get for the price which is why it’s desirable for me. We just wanted a large bag of cat food for a reasonable price to feed him when he comes around and this is the best we could find on amazon. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product and have had zero issues with it. Only con is not being able to reseal it, but that’s just me being extremely picky. Buy a large bucket or something to store the food in once you open it.

My sweet male cat got very sick. After having emergency surgery on his kidneys and uretha, we were told by the vet to feed him dry cat food with urinary care on the label. He lived 10 more years because of this. Today he crossed the rainbow bridge, he was 12 years old.

It is dry cat food that has essential vitamins for my feral colony I take care of. I supplement them canned food also. Cat food is expensive anymore so this one helps me with the financing to take care of all the beautiful cats that I can help, that people throw out like the trash!

The stray cats I feed seem to love it. I know it seems like hungry stray cats are not the best critics since they don’t get a lot of food, but my stray and ferals can be finicky. But they seem OK with this. And from a human standpoint, this doesn’t have a lot of gritty “dust” left over at the bottom of the bag or whatever container you store it in when you are done. There is some, but not an excessive amount like with some brands or varieties. To be sure, there are more expensive brands that probably provide better nutritional value for your cats. But the price is right for this, and there is nothing wrong with it. Best to mix it with some canned food for moisture.

So my neighbor has a cat… Not my cat. Cat is an outdoor one. He loves annoying my dogs by sitting by my glass door. Once again, not my cat.A freeze came one day and cat was outside, wheezing by front door. He was clearly freezing to death. I felt bad and let him come inside… He proceeded to stay in my bathroom for almost a full week until it warmed up. I had to feed him and got him some of this. Still not my cat.Now my neighbors cat comes to see me every morning and evening for this food. Every.single.day. He meows as loud as he can until I put food in his food bowl….Yes, you read that right. I bought him a food bowl.Still not my cat, so please stop going up on the price. 3.99 was perfect!

We were previously feeding our tabby cat, Scamp, Cat Chow but noticed our cat was struggling to chew it up.We were also unhappy with how greasy our cat’s coat had become. And our cat always seemed to be constantly hungry and sitting by his bowl.Since we switched to this food, we have noticed that my cat’s coat is nice and soft but not overly oily like before, he isn’t constantly hungry anymore and he enjoys this food and finds it much easier to chew up.And the price of the 28 lb bag just can’t be beat.

Feeding lots of kittens and adult cats that people have left behind when they move away from their homes. My heart breaks for the newborns especially because they will grow up alone on the streets with no warm house to sleep in or be loved by a person. But a good thing is they like this food, I have tried other cheap brands that even the hungry feral cats won’t eat. I guess they know cardboard from the real deal.
