   We used this tracker to track our packrat container as we moved cross country.It would not work inside the container, but it would work under it. It did use cell triangulation alot, but it was accurate as we can see as it was dropped from facility to facility until it got to our new home.We gorilla taped the unit to a bar outside and underneath that we knew would not get forklifted and it stayed there until we took it off!We were able to track the container from NJ to TX using their online website easily.Battery life on the lowest setting lasted well! It was at 98% when it arrived in TX.Once we were done using, canceling service was easily done on their website.I highly recommend this for tracking moving containers that have a safe place to secure it on the outside. The battery life is great for weeks and has accurate reporting.Greatly helped reduce stress in knowing where our stuff was and if they were on schedule.

   I got this GPS tracker as an early Father’s Day gift, and so far it has exceeded my expectations. I needed the tracker for my boat/trailer, which I have had to park outdoors as of late. We live in a nice enough area, but I worry about the boat, as it is a valuable asset. I’ve had GPS trackers in the past mounted on trucks, trailers, etc., so I had certain expectations, but this thing far beyond the trackers I’ve used in the past. First, the quality of the product just seems to be very high, and the size is perfectly compact. How they managed to build such a compact tracker that can hold a charge for up to 18 months is crazy to me. Second, some trackers I’ve used in the past have suffered from transmission issues (dead zones, or whatever the issue may be), but I have yet to lose signal with this one, and I’ve had my boat in some rural areas over the past week. Lastly, this GPS tracker has some pretty cool features, like geozoning and motion-based tracking, meaning you can conserve battery life if the item isn’t moving. You can also set the ping rate as high as every 15 seconds, that’s like real-time tracking. I’m using my Iphone with the tracking app and it seems to work flawlessly. Based on my experience so far, I would definately reccomend this item to anyone needing to keep tabs on anything of value.

   I previously left a review regarding the notice that comes with the unit in the box that states do not surround the unit with metal. That is good information to know up front before a purchase is made, however, I did place it up under a vehicle surrounded by the light gauge metal of the vehicle exterior and it works just fine. It doesn’t get the direct GPS, but it does get cell phone triangulation. Also the seller was very accommodating and good to work with. I would recommend this product. Battery is excellent.

   I use it for my $175,000 work truck and I sleep better at night knowing that I got this thing well hidden and tracking. Sure I have two other trackers on my truck but those in the know can easily find and disable those. Also because of the name PositiveGPS, I thought it had to have a clear shot of the sky using GPS but this isn’t the case since it uses radio frequencies like your phone so you are good to go. To prevent my truck from always charging this device, used a relay and a 12v to usb adapter so that this device is only charged when my engine is running. The battery life is really good and I have it set for five minute increment updates but you can change that to however you like.

   I’ve had three of these operating for 68 days on a single charge.One was set to update every 5 minutes when moving, or every 24 hours when not moving. That device has moved for roughly 70-80 hours of the time, and it just reached 0% battery life today.The other two have been set to hourly updates when moving, and they’re currently at 57% and 88% battery life respectively.I’ve had generally good connectivity across a broad swath of the continental US. GPS reception can be poor with metal interference, but the cell localization fallback has been sufficient in those cases.The web admin console is quite good.Two critiques: geozone alerts, while useful, have been unreliable. Battery life indication seems to jump around quite a bit and decline nonlinearly with usage.

   Can’t beat the price. Perfect for what its suppose to do, TRACK! I’ve put it in and on equipment that gets left in unsecured locations so I can have piece of mind that if something does happen I’ll be able to share with police to locate. I will be buying addition units as needed!

   I purchased 2 of these trackers to keep track of some equipment for a small business I have. Setup was very easy. You do have to pay a monthly fee but it provides 3 options to choose from to best fit your needs. The battery life is really good. I’ve had them a lttle over a month now and I have yet neede to recharge them. Tracking is accurate as well, very accurate. I would def recommend this product to anyone that is in need of a device. You won’t be disappointed!

   I tested this device out today and was impressed with the tracking features. To test this, I carried it with me while I drove around for several hours. I created a geozone around my house, which was simple to do, and signed up for the alerts.As I left the geozone, I received an email and text msg notifying me that the tracker had left and when I got home received the alert again telling me it was back in the geozone. I was out driving 8 hours and it used 4% battery. There is also a temperature reading on the website for the device. I was in warm conditions all day (no AC and 90+F) and the device peaked at 91F.The most impressive part is was the map history. It showed very accurately the spots where I stopped with a timestamp, address, GPS coordinates, battery life %, and temperature. If it sent a ping back while traveling, it also shows the speed. It will even tell you the direction of travel between points. It is all very easy to read on the map history and report history.The device itself feels very solid. I would like to have a mount for it, but it is small enough to just place out of the way.Overall this device does everything it says, and the tracking features are top notch. The battery life is great and it’s not a flimsy product. I am using this to keep track of a vehicle and, after testing, am happy with my purchase.

    Put this device on my husbands car. He has Parkinson’s Disease and sometimes forgets where he is when driving home. Device allowed me to pinpoint the car and talk him through getting home. Easy to install and easy to use. Would recommend having an App for your smart phone.
