Hookup was easy even though I was replacing a 30 year old Akai receiver with this one. It has been so long since I worked with this type of project I was not aware of the certain cable needed to hookup a TV to it. HINT get a 2.5mm male to RCA male cord and it works very well. The sound quality is great oh and remember once you have hooked up the speakers before you turn on the system turn the mic levels down or the feedback will startle you. Ofcourse as with practically anything there may be some kind of complaint? Mine would be the volume control. It works with even numbers only therefore 18 maybe too low and 20 is too loud BUT I will adapt. By the way I purchased two of the units at the same time and there were no issues with either one.

First things first, it’s a Pyle. What does that mean? That it’s not going to please an audiophile, and if you have decent equipment, then its specs are wholly underwhelming. However, if you know that going into the purchase and adjust for that fact, then you’re buying a decent piece of equipment. At less than $100, you cannot expect earth-shattering quality. When the box arrived, I instantly noticed that it is a magnitude lighter than my 7.1.2 Denon and my 9.1.2 Pioneer. However, those two receivers are in my great room and basement, powering some pretty high-end equipment. The Pyle is going outside in the gazebo’s cabinet. It’ll power the two outdoor pool speakers for Zone A and the one speaker by the fire pit for Zone B. There won’t be a subwoofer, and audio quality is going to be as good as my phone’s Bluetooth since all we will be doing is streaming audio. For the limited needs of this project, there’s no need to drop $500 on another Denon or $1200 on another Pioneer. At the price point, if it lasts a few years in an outdoor cabinet with most of the usage being in the summer, then it’ll be money well spent. It took all of 10 minutes to unbox, carry outside, and connect the three speakers.Bluetooth connected right away, and I was off and streaming from YouTube Music before Amazon even updated the order page to reflect the item was delivered. Sound is decent for the terrible outdoor speakers I have. The remote isn’t fancy, but it does work, and while I typically don’t like receivers with an exhaust port, given where it is going to be stored, I believe it’s a good idea. Back in my car audio days, I wouldn’t touch a Pyle with a 5-foot pole. But today, if you know what you’re looking for ahead of time, then it can be a bargain. An equivalent Sony receiver would cost over $100 on-sale, and it would be limited to 2-channels. Given that we have three speakers, this receiver fits the bill.

Reading the reviews for this, some peoples expectations are really high. Yes, this is not a premium receiver, however they can be expensive, when you need that, you should buy one of those. Now, I wanted this receiver for my garage, so I can tune, working on my projects. I had some extra speakers laying around, and as others say, just couldn’t find a decent receiver locally cheap. So for $92 this is a deal. For my garage, it plays well, sounds good, and the features work for me. My only interest is tying into my iPad/iPhone via Bluetooth (which works remarkably well, and sets up each time quickly) to play Spotify. Played even at mid-range, really rocks my garage. But the set up works for softer music, overall, very happy with the Pyle. So my 2 cents is, if you have simple needs like this, this Pyle works well, and you’ll be happy. But, if you’re building your home theater, this probably won’t measure up :).

The amplifier has a lot of punch and low noise level. The fan is not as loud as I expected but is a necessary evil. Learn to live with it. The FM radio is not very good at receiving stations, it only picks up local stations- in my location an annoying Mexican music station is very close and bleeds over 4 or 5 stations ruining other stations that have great music. So selectivity and sensitivity are mediocre. The stations that do come in are clear and noise free. The tone controls have a large range and are quite effective. The sub out is very good and the control works well. It requires an amplified subwoofer as the output is line level. MMC/USB and Bluetooth work very well. There is no memory button on the FM/AM radio portion of the main unit, but there is a memory button on the remote. Tune to a station then press memory to save the station. It also scans and remembers all stations strong enough to play without static. You must step through stations to get to the one you want. Given the ultra low price I think it rates 5 stars. The remote is very light but does have volume and balance and a memory button plus most other controls have buttons. All considered the performance is very good for the price. I am pleased. The manual that comes with it is very very terse and could be much better. But that adds to the cost. The graphic display is nothing but a distraction as it does nothing but dance around the same all the time. Perhaps a simple VU meter would be better. I have it connected to two Yamaha NS-6490 speakers (purchased from Amazon Prime) and it can overload them. The volume can easily fill a large room. You can’t beat this receiver for value.

Wow! This is 300 Watts of Power for under $100! Very hard to find that scenario. Pyle is known for very powerful amplifiers, many used for large Events where you need to power large speakers and/or a lot of speakers. I bought this simply for home use and have been very pleased with it’s performance this past year. It’s been reliable and has a Bluetooth feature to play music right from your phone, which i love. I have my TV/Home Theater run through this system and sounds good. I have hooked this amp up to high-end Bowers & Wilkins and Bose Speakers. It sounds crystal clear & powerful. It’s also really cool that you can plug in up to 2 professional Microphones right into the front of the Receiver and sing-along (Karaoke) while the music is playing. It is a very ‘simple’ system. Some of the potential ‘Cons’ is: It doesn’t have all the advanced ‘equalizer’ settings / adjustments that you might see on some more expensive systems, it has a bright (lighted) display and a pretty significant cooling fan which occasionally can be heard a little bit when cranking up this amp.But over all, it’s a ‘big bang for the buck’ for sure. You can spend $300-$500 on other brands and still not hit 300 Watts of power like this Pyle system.

It may not have every feather on it but it does have Bluetooth and live stream. Sound reproduction is good quality for the midrange, tends to clip at the upper level at full volume. However for a $90 unit I have no complaints If you want better you have to spend more than $90 maybe $900 LOL. Especially good for apartment dwellers as you can not crank up the volume anyway.

The media could not be loaded.  I don’t do much on product reviews but when something impresses me I do. This receiver is perfect to power up my 4 speakers around my pool. Easy connection to blue tooth, great sound for a simple set up. You can’t go wrong with this set up for a simple stereo sound. The display is nice a bright so I can see it from far as well. I originally had my $400 Yamaha powering everything but it was overboard and it got too hot quickly. This unit does not get hot at all. Happy I got it!!!

I needed a receiver for my storefront that was bluetooth capable and had a dedicated subwoofer out. To set up your phone or blue tooth device just turn the device on and switch to the bluetooth setting on the receiver. this automatically puts it into discoverable mode your phone can pair with it from there. Another great feature that I was pleasantly pleased with is that no one can take over the bluetooth signal of your phone is connected. You have to disconnect your phone each time you want another person to connect to it. I don’t have to worry about kids taking over the signal in my store!

At only $80.00 I was completely prepared to be disappointed but to my amazement, this receiver is actually quite awesome. It connected super easy via bluetooth to my iphone and the sound quality is astonishingly good. I received this unit the same day as Tool’s new album dropped and I have been happily jamming at high volume with this little unit. I know there are a fair amount of negative reviews here for it but my experience is nothing but two thumbs up.
