Labs team – Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells – and his adoptive family, Detective Joe West and Joe’s daughter Iris, the Scarlet Speedster runs circles around other metahumans set on wreaking havoc in Central City, while traveling between alternate universes and protecting our world from otherworldly threats. Last season, new dangers arrived from a parallel earth known as Earth-2, under the direction of an evil speedster named Zoom. In Season Three, Barry faces the unknown – as he irrevocably alters the timeline by saving his mother from the clutches of the Reverse-Flash. The only question now is – as he wrestles with the consequences of his own Flashpoint Paradox, including the wrathful Speed God Savitar – will he be able to find a way out?

This series has had me captivated from Season 1. I wait for each new episode with enthusiasm. They have done much to honor the comic book cannon. The actors are easy to watch and charismatic. The crossover episodes make it feel even more real. The special effects are amazing. I lose a day if I waited to the end of the season to purchase but, I just can’t wait that long before I have to see the next episode. Even if you aren’t a sci-fi fan or a Flash comic book fan, you will enjoy the great story telling of this series. Plenty of laughs, and strong dramatic choices with tough consequences. This series is just getting better and better as I watch. Now in Season 3, I can’t wait to see what comes next!!!

I am a longtime fan and follower of superheroes, with Barry Allen’s Flash and Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern being two of my all-time favorites. With this fantastic series, Greg Berlanti and his team have done a brilliant job of bringing back one of those characters, Barry Allen, and of paying tribute to nearly 80 years of comic book history revolving around all incarnations of The Flash in this series. For my money, the bullet points are: brilliant show, amazing cast, fantastic stories, great action, good times, can’t miss. And of all the seasons to date, I think Season 3 has been my favorite (though it is so hard to choose!). The Blu-Ray collection is indispensable, and I am thankful that the studio has been releasing such well-packaged products for collectors.
