The media could not be loaded. My little rescue red eared slider LOVES her new home. It comes with everything you need. I did add more river rock to her tank and a small heater. She takes advantage of the bridge and likes to hide in the grass. It took her a couple of days to find her way around. She is still very small. I’m sure this tank will accommodate her needs for several years. The tank is very heavy. Make sure you place it is a good spot before filling it. Wash the rocks well before placing in the tank. The one draw back is the way the lights sit on the lid. When I have more time I plan to invest on buying different stands to hold the lights. Puddin, enjoys one half of a small shredded carrot once in a while. I also spoil her a bit and give her dried shrimp and fresh baby kale. The lid does prevent over feeding. lolI’ve seen reviews about bulbs burning our quickly. I haven’t had this problem. I would definitely suggest shutting the lights off by their switches and not simply unplugging them. My Puddin has learned to bask. Both lights are important to keep her healthy.I wish I had purchased this product soon. It is a very heavy delivery. I needed help to bring it in. The box comes extra filters and a waterfall filtration system. Enjoy.

I purchased a set up for my two baby map turtles . Everything works perfectly . I’ve had it for about three or four days now . The filter keeps the water clear so far. The turtles love the rock bridge . It would be nice if the tank came with a heater . But no complaints absolutely as advertised… to add to my review . The filter cleans the water last for about three days in my tank. Then starts to get cloudy but I guess that’s normal

This set is awesome! But you will need to still buy an aquarium heater. It has just about everything other than that, and without it your turtle will end up quite ill. I have this one ( Tetra 26445 Aquatic Reptile Heater, 100 Watt ) and it’s sized well for this tank. It’s got a plastic cover over it because some turtles will try and break the glass of aquarium heaters. For a turtles, this 20 gallon size works for while they are young, but as they get bigger they will need something larger. It’s actually a great kit for small turtles since everything that comes with the tank is sized for keeping the water not super deep. The basking platform is a heavy solid piece that sits right on the bottom of the tank, so not a floating one. This is exactly what our turtle (red eared slider) needed when he was little since floating platforms were too difficult for him to climb up onto when he wanted to bask. The platform in this kit is like a bridge that turtles can walk up onto without it moving around on them. The filter is really cool. It’s designed to look like a huge rock and the water pours out from the top of it like a waterfall. This looks so much nicer than the big black filters that you stick on the side of an aquarium. It’s so quiet. You don’t even notice it’s running. The water filter uses a medium sized charcoal filters, which I’ve found easily at every Petco I’ve visited for supplies. The kit also comes with plastic foliage which our turtle really likes, but you really need some kind of rock/gravel to keep it from floating to the top of the water. This set does NOT come with any rock/gravel so you’d need to buy your own. For anyone new to turtles, do NOT use regular fish gravel in your aquarium for your turtle. It’s small and your turtles will eat it (I know, I too ignored this warning myself when I first heard it and regretted it when our first little turtle grew large enough to start trying to eat it). They need a larger rock that they can’t get into their mouths. I have two bags of Exo Terra Turtle Pebbles, Large in this tank and it looks great. Just enough to have a thin layer of rock at the bottom. I also found that the rock is five bucks cheaper buying it here on Amazon compared to what my local pet store was charging per bag. So if you comparison shop, you may find it’s cheaper just to order it here online. Each of the lights that come with this set also come with bulbs. So you’re not just getting the fixtures. The bulbs are packaged in little boxes seperate from the fixtures so they don’t get damaged in transport. You need two types of lights because turtles need both a heat lamp and a UVB light. Without the UVB light turtles suffer from diseases, and they need the heat lamp so they can warm up and bask under it when they get out of the water. So it’s best to position the basking light on the top of the aquarium right over where ever you set up the basking platform. The lid is metal, not plastic. So the included lights sit right on top of it. The lid is a locking design, so if you happen to have pets who try to get in (or out) of the tank, the lid can be locked on so it won’t open. This is a glass tank, not one of those acrylic ones. The good being that it won’t get scratched up like the acrylic ones do. But being glass it is heavy when it’s filled with water. This is a very well made all-in-one kit that comes with all the same stuff you would buy separately at the pet store. Basically the only things you’d need to add to it would be the turtle and a heater. With the option also of adding some rock for decoration. This is a great starter for young turtles!

You will need to buy a water heater!!!!!!Has both UVB and heat lamps. This 20 gallon is perfect for hatching’s, everything that comes with the tank is sized for keeping the water shallow. The basking platform is a solid piece that sits on the bottom of the tank. The filter is designed to look like a rock and water pours from the top of it like a waterfall. It’s very quiet, You barley notice it’s running. The water filter uses a medium sized charcoal filters, which should be pretty easy to find. Also the kit comes with plastic duckweed, but you really need some kind of rock/gravel to keep it from floating to the top of the water. This set does NOT come with any rock/gravel so you’d need to buy your own. For anyone new to turtles, do NOT use regular fish gravel in your aquarium for your turtle. It’s small and your turtles will eat it!!! They need larger rocks that they can’t get into their mouth. Each of the lights that come with this set also come with bulbs. I can’t give this a five star because the fish tank itself is good. The top and the lights are great. No problems with the heater But the filter is a piece of crap. The concept of the way that it looks is awesome but it takes up a lot of room in the tank and it does not filter good. Within a week mine was already stopped up and making a whistling sound even after I changed the filters. I always kept the tank clean and never overfed and followed all instructions so I don’t know why it was whistling.

This tank was perfect for my 2 turtles. They are about 11 months old about 4 inches long each. The only thing i added was a 10lb bag of river rocks to complete the look. Dual purpose: looks nicer AND I like to fill my tank up about halfway with water. The river rocks helped to elevate the basking bridge and the water filter so I wouldn’t go past the max fill for the filter and the top of the basking area stayed dry. So if you have older turtles, adding river rocks to this purchase will complete it.

Great buy, A bit wider than my older one and the filter Is good. I’ve read that it has trouble filtering water effectively but i’ll have to update my review later to share my experience. I can recommend this Tank. – Do note that they used a baby turtle to showcase it. I had to remove this arch for my adult turtle but without that part I’m happy with the space she has.Update- Still a fantastic purchase, I still haven’t used the leaves and probably will not, They seem more suitable for fish. I also will not be using the stone arch as it also doesn’t share enough space for my turtle but would work well with fish. The Filter needs to be cleaned out occasionally and sometimes dirt and grime can get behind the filter itself leading to a tedious cleaning process. A smaller-Attachment Filter would be a better pick but the hidden filter actually looks very nice.

Amazing package deal! I bought this tank for my male plains hognose snake (formerly western hognose). He’s a year old and roughly 14/15 inches. On average males grow to 24 inches so this tank is perfect for his forever home! (The pic I included of Huey is from his old tank and for size reference. Since they burrow majority of the time I haven’t been able to take any pictures of him in his new tank).I was surprised how heavy and solid this tank is and how much extra stuff comes with it! At certain, well known, pet stores a 20 gallon tank with no additional supplies can cost $250+. Just doesn’t seem right. So value for money here is A++!I’ll be donating what I don’t need to someone who can use it since hognoses don’t need UV lights [or aquarium food :)].Seriously love this tank and so does Huey!

did not buy this for an aquatic pet, instead for my little leopard gecko!!! its PERFECT!!! spinach is loving his new home sososo much, and there is SO much space, was super easy to put together, I did not use any of the aquatic stuff but you genuinely get your moneys worth, im keeping it around just in case though.not 33 inches like the item description says (only saying this because I was worried it wouldn’t fit on my shelf, it did.), but its still huge so what’s the worry.I also did not use the lights it came with, but am keeping them as spare so if I have trouble with those I will come back to edit my review.the last photo attached is a size comparison of this one and a starter terrarium I got at petco!
