This is my second choice from Amazon, trying to make my additional monitor to work properly. The result is excellent and astonishing. So it’s a keeper definitely. Only thing is that the user’s manual write up is a bit awkward – mainly the order is kind of out. Eg, the caution of software conflict (with other drivers) should go prior to the downloading step. The notes about keeping adapter unconnected before software downloading should also be stated in the very front. Because users follow instructions step by step. If anything disorder in the manual, process will be messed up and one may have to redo. That’s what I experienced during installation. But the adapter overall works great. Recommended.

Outstanding tech support. I have a 6 year old HP laptop that does not officially support Win 10 and an ASUS 4k monitor. HP support was clueless and wanted $60 to try. ASUS support did not understand the problem. Only StarTech could make it work!
