I use scouring pads to start seed. I cut a pad to fit the inside bottom of a tofu tub, place seeds on the surface of the pad, wet the pad so the seeds will remain moist but not inundated. Then cover with Saran wrap, keep heated to 80 degrees, and wait until the seeds sprout.Now, how many reviews of scouring pads will tell you how to start seeds? You’re welcome.

excellent value for my purpose… heavy duty scrubbing. I like them better on the third day of use as they get more pliable but still work well.

No matter whatever mess you make or how badly cooked on it gets on you cookware, it will get the job done. Of course you can’t be used it on special treated, or other fussy cookware that you have to only use non abrasive scouring pads.

I cut each of these in half to use, as I felt like the 6×9 size was just too big. cut in half is about the typical size sponge, so it worked better for me and extended the life of them. I also tend to throw away scouring pads sooner than most it seems. I don’t wait for them to be soft and floppy before getting chucked. so considering I am a bit more quick to toss, plus cutting them in half, made it even out a bit. I can’t believe how long these lasted me. ordering more now.

Always use these on metal sinks and pans. Also good for dry wall first coat be very careful NOT to use on kitchen wood tables as a friend did and now table needs new varnishing… ha! They work but like any sandpaper for metal watch the grade of its power. Larger size is the best for larger hands most certainly.

What can I say that all the other reviews haven’t said already? Not much, but I’ll add to the tally anyway. I bought these because Chef Keller said that scour pads work great for peeling vegetables with little waste and while maintaining the original shape of the produce. I bought these large ones and just cut them in half width-wise and they are the perfect size. So now I effectively have 40 of them which should last me just about forever, unless I decide to repurpose some for other jobs as well. That comes out to about 35¢ each, which is so much better than the $1.13 each that is “Amazon’s Choice.” Buy these and don’t look back.
