I originally use the Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges I got locally since I didn’t really need the sponge function for scrubbing my steel wok or cast-iron pot I figure this would work. Well, it kind of did, but this has much high abrasive compare to the sponge version. I will stick to the Sponges instead for my steel wok but will find use for cast-iron pot and other super heavy duty stuff. Since scrubbing gets it dirty, low price is important as I go through them quickly.

While most sponges and scrubbers wear easily over a short time of use, these Scotch-Brite Heavy-Duty scrubbers far outlast all of the rest!My parents always bought this type and brand and we have also used them for years. We are meticulous about keeping our stainless steel and copper-bottomed pots and pans clean and shiny. These pads are used repeatedly over long periods and do not tear or wear easily – AND they do not scratch and wear away my proud investment of pots and pans either! They also clean the kitchen counters and stove tops well.Stiff enough yet flexible, they are the perfect size for gripping, and are also easier to clean off after each use. My husband likes to cut some into long strips to use for cleaning his tools and for cleaning walls to prepare them for new paint.I say, don’t waste your money on other scrubbers.

These are tough enough for tough stuck on foods but not so rough that you’re worried about ruining the finish on your pots and pans. They will however leave small scratches on metal surfaces. I use these on stainless steel pots and pans, cooking sheets, cast iron when necessary and knives if needed.

A regular item in our kitchen. Scotch-Brite (3m) is one of the few brands we are loyal to because its predictable “scratchiness” means that we know exactly what it will (stainless steel, cast iron, glass, enamel)or won’t (teflon and most non-stick surfaces, plastic, melamine) be suitable for. It’s the same reason we use Scotch-Brite sponges with color-coded abrasive backs – pink (really soft), blue (all purpose), or green (rough, for fast removal on hard surfaces). These pads are generously sized. I cut them in half cross-wise to make them last longer.

Scotch Brite is the best. I’m a returning customer. Their product is generally very good. Their scour pads last forever, almost :-).P.S. Just so I told you. The only product of theirs that is terrible is scour pads with blue sponge, which don’t lust at all (my two times ) and the sponge pills/shaves off.Yellow sponge is pretty good, though.

Saw this on a kitchen show to use for scrubbing vegetables. Long last and does a great job on potatoes, carrots, squashes etc. Makes the vegetable very smooth without taking off a thick layer of skin.

My favorite use for these scour pads is cleaning my stove top griddle, turn on the griddle to about 200 degrees, pour on a little vinegar and water and use the pad, all the burnt/dried oil or grease will come right off. You do need to use a metal applicator that the pad will adhere to to protect your hand from the steam it produces, it’s also sold here on Amazon and will last for years, the pads are the replacements. I use mine for about 3 or 4 cleanings before disposing the Scotch Pad.

I first used Scotch Brite when I was working in a production plant that had to be super clean. Scotch Brite Pads were what we used to polish the stainless steel, to make it shine! I didn’t see a way to critique the delivery. It says they left it near my front porch. What they did was leave it on my car and the wind blew it on the ground. Fortunately that car is a beater. Fed ex/UPS knows to leave on my side porch out of sight. USPS is afraid of the neighbors dog and have left deliveries on a neighbors bush. She knows all she has to do is sound her horn and I will come and get the packages for either house. It seems they just don’t care.

I tryed these on my stainless steel cooking set and i have to say i have not seen the shine the way it comes out now. Who would of thought heavy duty made a difference…but it does I have super clean shine polish looking pots and pans. Hell! Spot that i couldn’t get off my pans are off now. Totally affordable and durable. Dont question it buy them!

Don’t let the initial stiffness put you off. After a few uses it becomes much more flexible. I use it for washing dishes and wiping down counters.I Iove that it doesn’t get stinky like a dishrag. And when some real scrubbing is needed it is completely up for the job. There are other versions of the same idea, but they don’t hold up nearly as well. I haven’t tracked it but I would guess I get 6 or more months out of each one.
