As an archaeologist working on a military installation who occasionally requires quick evac and encounters close calls with training fire when miscommunication occurs, this vest is both desirable for it’s high visibility and it’s functionality due to the pockets. My checklist for a safety vest includes visibility (reflectivity is not an issue for me, so I cannot comment on that), breathability, and easy access to commonly used tools. This vest is bright enough to be seen easily in heavy bush–Blaze is better than Safety Green, which sometimes blends in depending on the time of year and one’s location. It is very lightweight, but only the back is breathable mesh. And the pockets are, for me, where this vest shines. The right breast pocket easily fits a standard sighting compasses (Silva Ranger owner) or smaller phones and walkies. The left breast pocket provides ample room and has a pen/pencil/grease pencil holster with 6 bays on the outside that make accessing writing utensils a breeze. Flagging tape and a folding ruler fit well in the lower pockets.Works a treat for my usecase.I cannot comment on OSHA or DOT compliance as I do not use this vest in situations that require such standards.

I had already been using a orange version in three plants and really like it for the convenience of pockets for phone, safety glasses, gloves, small water bottles and pens and markers. Very nice and keeping me cooler I feel this summer with the mesh and lower cut to the front. I really like this style and layout.I am also required to use yellow/green-yellow in some plants and started looking around for the same brand surveyor’s vest. I received an email early this week, ordered immediately and received it on the weekend via USPS. Absolutely the same. I am happy and recommend this vest for convenient use.An update: After four years of use I have replaced my original orange vest with a new XL and a XXL (larger for cold weather clothing. Or for being fat…ter) and one XXL yellow to go with my older XL yellow. The orange vests have one addition to them now. The phone pocket now has a clear plastic pocket in front of the original phone pocket for ID and so forth. Pretty neat!

When they say 5XL, they mean it! I’m no longer wearing a 5 XL….but ordered it because sizing is usually running small (and we can all deal with something w/ a bit of extra room, so I erred on the side of caution)This will make the big man in you VERY happy!! If you wear 3xl, order 3XL. If you wear 4xl, order 4xl and if you wear a 5xl, by all means….order the 5xl. The sizing feels true to size.

The old saying “you get what you pay for” holds true here. Had to replace a cheaper less expensive vest than I’ve had for 2 years. I ordered up to a 4XL this time so the vest would fit over my winter jacket and probably should have bought a 3X. I’m a 2X guy in shirts and need the loose vest to work, items seems to run a bit large. It is a quality items, nice pockets, etc. Now if I can just get back to work. #covidsucks

I have been ordering 40-50 of these over the last 6-7 years. I embroider them for our HAM RADIO ARES group. The last year has been real bad about missed stitches, loose threads and unfinished ends. I was almost considering a switch as the prices keep going up but the quality has dropped. Hopefully the improvements remain.

The safety vest fits as it should if you go by the measurements on the chart the best thing about it is it’s got pockets for all your little stuff and wouldn’t working at a warehouse that doesn’t allow you to bring your items in a bag this is best good material has survive through to washes so far

This is a great vest but unfortunately does not fit well. The workmanship is right on the money and I’ll keep it, but the XL is what I needed based on shoulder size, but the amount of fabric at the waist is just way too much. I think the shoulder size is the waist size. It has no taper.I’m keeping it for when the days get colder, I may need this extra fabric when wearing sweaters and coats. Again, the vest is really nice and I will keep it. It is very bright and the reflective tape is highly visible.

Arrived on time. As described. I,m a security guard whose facility went under construction. My company provided a simple high visibility vest that was a once size fit all,Velcro closures and no pockets. Unfortunately I was larger than most and wear a size 52 suit and the vest just would not do. This vest has 4 waist pockets, 2 outside with flap closures and two inside. The pockets where big enough to accept index card size notepads. There was a chest pocket on the right side that can fit most large cellphones and our company provided chunky Motorola Nextel fits nice and snug.Plus there are two should loops if you need a place to clip you mic to. Its bright orange and has the 3M reflective tape on the waist and tops of the shoulder. And best of all,.. it zips. No complaints and very happy with my purchase that some of my co-workers bought one their size.

have had this vest for 3 months so far it’s showing no stress, bought several different sizes thinking they run small but i should have just ordered the right size from the start. love all the pockets for my phone, toothpicks, mask, pen, arm sleeve, ear plugs, and medication and my work assignment ticket.
