I’ve use Tidy cats for the last year; I’d try other brands of clay litter and they didn’t seem to cast as long as tidy cat (I try and scoop daily, sometimes every other day) and dump and start fresh when needed… with other liters when needed was often bc they couldn’t contain the smell. Tidy cat we could replenish litter and avoid a full dumping and starting over longer. What I hate about it… (and I just realized it’s not advertised on this particular package) is the tracking…. we have cat boxes with a littler catcher outside them and in a room of carpet, but we still manage to get litter on our non carpeted floor. Also, I don’t love clay litter, scooping isn’t as easy as I would prefer.I did try changing littler types recently to worlds best litter bc I read it was easier to scoop and less tracking… and though it was great for me….. one of my cats hated it and he starting peeing around the house (something he has never done before) so….back to tidy cats we go.

I have always used this brand and type of litter. Works well. What I like the most is that I do not have to lift it and haul it in and out of the car and house. The big plastic buckets are just too heavy for me now. I like that this comes in 3 bags of 13# each that I can easily move about. Sometimes the carton is broken open (probably due to the awkward weight of the box for the delivery guys)… But the bags have always been intact. No problem! The bags are also sturdy enough to help with disposal of the used litter. Bonus!

I’ve used the Tidy Cats brand for years, but the formula I was using just wasn’t working as well for me as I’d like. After stumbling across this Tidy Max 24/7 Performance formula on Amazon I decided to just give it a try to see if it would work any better. I changed the litter to this a week ago, and I love it. I forget there is even a litter box in this house, and this is not a big house so if something smells you can smell it pretty much everywhere. It doesn’t just try to cover the smell (which, face it, that never works) with a new smell; it actually prevents/stops the smell entirely from the get-go. Does exactly what it says it’ll do.If you’re considering this product — it is definitely worth a try! I’m not disappointed, and I will be buying it again.

How can Amazon send a 38-pound box of cat litter to me with free shipping? I don’t know but I like it. I don’t have to wrestle a heavy (for me) box around from the store to my car, from my car to my house. I just have it dropped off right at my house. But is it any good as cat litter? Yes, it is. It clumps good and doesn’t have some overwhelming perfume smell. There is a little bit of dust when I stir things up in the daily cleaning but nothing unusual or noteworthy. This is a good product for its purpose. I have three cats that use it and they seem OK with it. I know it works for me. The price is just fine for a product of this volume and quality. I am satisfied with this box of litter and recommend it. I also recommend membership in Amazon Prime.

What a difference changing litter makes! I am new to cat ownership, and was really questioning my recent rescue of 4 kittens. This has been a game changer. I had to wait until they were old enough to switch to clumping litter, and once I did, I found tidy cats. It scoops so easy for urine and poo. And it really does absorb the odor. I’m a self proclaimed neat freak and I detest smelly smells. Since finding this litter, we’ve decided to adopt all 4 of these babies instead of just fostering them. It made THAT much of a difference in the smell and effort to clean up after them. Thanks tidy cats. This little litter of misfits thanks you too. They’re on to live their best life, smelly cat free!

What can I say. She eats, does nothing all day, poops and pee’s, raises hell all night, finally falls asleep, wakes up, eats and we start all over. Oh, yes. I forgot the part that says, I CLEAN THE LITTER BOX. Other than that, she poops and pee’s and I clean up. Oh. Did I already say that. How silly of me. My 16 year daughter told me I had to have a cat (she has 2 at her mothers) because “papa, you are lonely” I know you are. No, I’m not. Yes, you are. You NEED a cat. No, I don’t need a cat. As we were driving home from the shelter with this scraggly looking piece of buzzard bait my daughter informs me that the house now belongs to the cat. Right. I don’t think sooooo. The house now belongs to the damn cat. She does anything she wants – eats, does nothing all . . . . .

I’m a hermit that avoids humans and leaving the house, and Amazon has been my biggest enabler in my antisocial endeavors. Getting kitty litter shipped to my door (sorry Mr. Mailman) lets me put off the infuriating task of going to the store even longer. And since I started recycling I’ve become increasingly aware of how much plastic I use, so I was hoping to either get my litter in bulk if plastic was unavoidable, and/or get something more earth friendly. This was PERFECT! And the price was BETTER than what I would pay in store for the same brand (~$15 for 20lb jug vs. ~$22 for 40lb). The 3 13lb bags make storage and use WAY easier – no giant ass tub to drag across the house, then lift and dump into the litterbox.the shipping box is also really sturdy – I gave it to a friend that’s moving. But it was also really cool because it had guide marks printed on the sides for you to cut out to give your cat a new castle to play in! Maybe next time. And since I saved them, when I open a bag to refill the box I pour the remainder (with a funnel and VERY carefully) into empty Tidy Cats jugs! That way my a**hole cats can’t climb up and knock the open bag onto the floorThe litter itself seems the same as the Tidy Cats I buy at the store; it’s good for smells and clumps pretty well. Theres definitely some dust, but no worse than most any other litter.I don’t have a problem with tracking because my dads a genius and made me the perfect litterbox:a clear, giant Rubbermaid storage tub (I think ~40 gallon) with a ~10 inch diameter circle cut into the top with a jigsaw. Kitties love it and i can keep 5+ inches of litter in it because they cant track or kick it everywhere. They’ll track some litter onto the top of the box climbing out but when I take the top off to clean the box I just pour the litter back into the tub. Easy.Thank you Tidy Cats! And Amazon!

The “24/7” is key, Tidy Cats has several types all similarly labeled and the do not perform like the 24/7. We foster rescue cats and have 2 of our own. There is no nasty perfume smell (pee & perfume Yuck!), clumps wells and immediately absorbs smells. We have an automatic cleaning litter box that it works great with because of the clumping power, it doesn’t stick to the bottom and fall apart through cleaning grates. This is the best immediate acting & long lasting litter we’ve tried (and we’ve tested a lot from high dollar ‘best’ brand, lightweight and everything in between). The smell test we would rank as top attribute, it traps odor so well that the smell doesn’t remind you to clean the box, at least not until it’s really full or left for many days. Make sure you get the one labeled 24/7 performance, it’s the best!

Picking a litter is tough. Not only does it need to fit the needs of your kitty first and foremost, but it also needs to work for any humans cohabiting in the same household as well. While both cats and humans can agree it should keep bad smells to a minimum, other features that matter most are species dependent. What’s chiefly important to a cat outside of odor absorption is texture, which really depends on the cat’s personal preferences. Tidy Cat Naturally Strong certainly met my kitty’s expectations right away, who went to business as soon as I poured the fresh sand into her box. Great! Outside of those needs, my requirements were clumping ability, odor absorption, longevity and low dust, with a nice bonus being would be an easy to store and pour container. Fortunately, Naturally Strong met my expectations as well!Having used it for a couple months now, I found it absorbed odors quite well. I personally hate scented litters as much as many cats do, since I find they do the opposite of their intended effect and make homes smell even more like kitty litter than not. Give it a sec and let your cat bury its business, and any lingering smelly odors outta dissipate fairy quickly, just like when you use a toilet yourself. I found it’s clumping ability to be exceptional, better than Dr. Esley’s, which I used for several months previously, whose clumps tended to crumble on the edges a lot which leaves a lot of waste behind overtime. Dr. Esley’s also had a tendency to get stuck to the bottom and sides of the litter box which made cleanup harder over time, too. I hated the crumbs it left behind and decided to give Naturally Strong a shot. I think the tighter, harder clumping action of Naturally Strong helped it last longer, while the activated charcoal certainly appeared to suck up stanky smells well, too. Because the granules of litter in Naturally Strong are spherical grains of various sizes and not rough, ground up clay, it was very low-dust.Lastly, and probably most controversial when it comes to kitties vs. humans in the litter debate, is tracking. Tracking, at least from my personal perspective, is hard to avoid. By design, litter needs to stick on to things, particularly urine and feces, but that also means it isn’t too discriminating when confronted with a paw, human foot, or cat turd… No litter I’ve ever bought completely avoids the tracking problem, so my solution is to use a large, good quality litter mat. There may be some litter cleanup once and a while but that just comes with the territory. For what it’s worth, tracking isn’t bad with Naturally Strong, and since it’s very low dust and the grains are very uniform, clean up with a broom or vacuum is really easy.As for cost, it’s a little more expensive than more economical options like Dr. Elsey’s, roughly $5-7 more expensive per ~40 lbs bag on average (Naturally Strong only comes in 20 and 35lbs bags, but I feel litter weight will vary depending on individual brand formulation.) But even with a small bump in cost, it’s well worth it. It’s a great litter and does the basic very well (odor absorption, longevity, and clumping ability.)Lastly, I noticed it was extremely similar to another Tidy Cats brand litter; Tidy Cats Free & Clean Unscented. If you noticed too, then you’re right – they’re extremely similar. After a lot of digging around online, I eventually found out the one and only difference is that Naturally Strong contains MORE activated charcoal than Free & Clean, hence this is why Naturally Strong has a 12 day freshness guarantee to Free & Clean’s 10 day. It was annoying how difficult this was to find! Anecdotally, I did peer inside a jug of Free & Clean and felt it had less charcoal than Naturally Strong, so this seems to be accurate. It’s not clear if this makes a substantial difference or not. Could be worth experimenting with both since Free & Clean is a bit cheaper than Naturally Strong. In any case, pretty satisfied with this and so is the cat!

I use Amazon for most of my household purchases because nothing beats just whipping out your phone when you run out of something, but I had to change a few of my go-to items to stuff Amazon carries. It took me quite a few tries to find a kitty litter that worked for us. This is now my monthly purchase. The biggest plus for me is the scent. I have two cats in a small, two bedroom apartment and it’s very easy for the place to start smelling like litter box. This stuff has a nice scent, without being overwhelming. Some brands overload on a scent, and then when your cats curl up on you after using the litter box, they reek of overly sweet diaper smell. This litter doesn’t do that. The bathroom their litter box is in slightly smells of the scent, but that’s it. Plus, this litter is nice and chunky, so it doesn’t fly up like a dust when they use it – I think that’s why they don’t get covered in the smell. And you can’t really beat the price. Highly recommend!
