Bought this for my goofy 13 pound cat who likes to hide in bags and boxes. However, he now has to share with my 12 pound girl cat who takes a nap in it every evening after dinner. It did take a few days for them to check it out. If you are looking to buy this, then you know how cats are. Sturdy, easy to clean (little bit of laundry soap and hose it out at the garden spigot, set out to dry); pretty nutmeg colour looks nice in my living room. No problems with transaction; nice product. Hey, if the cat approves, that’s all that matters, right? Photo of 12 pound cat using the product, and a shot of her out of it for comparison. I would think it would work for small dogs, and other pets like rabbits, too.

I bought one to see how good it was made and thought i would send it to my daughter. Well one of my cats has already adopted it, So I had another one sent to my daughter. She takes care of kittens that are sick or are about to be destroyed by a shelter. Always a bunch around. Anyway, it took about 10 minutes for one of the kittens to find it and explore. Five minutes later there were 5 in there! So they give it a big thumbs up!It seems to have foam rubber in the walls and the seams are well made. The bottom is rather thin, but removable, so it would be a snap to make a thicker bottom and put the pad back in. Trust me, you do not need a blanket in the igloo.Some people make cages or pens out of those 14″ square wire boxes. (The ones made into book shelves and room dividers…. ) Anyway, the top of this can be dented in a bit, and it fits right into a 14″ square, without reducing the sleeping area. Here is a picture taken 15 min. after the igloo got to my daughter’s house….

*Edited to state that after 2 days, our “spirited” puppy has chewed the corner of the pad and also sometimes ends up toppling the bed over while in it, covering the hole, resulting in frantic cries due to being “trapped”. This isn’t a knock on the bed, just a heads-up in case anyone else was considering getting one for a puppy.I ordered this for our 4 pound chihuahua mix 9 week old puppy because he was burrowing under his other beds. After tossing it around for a good half hour to show the bed who’s boss, he settled in there nicely. It’s very light weight. The bottom pad is a little thin in my opinion but it is removable. It was sent vacuum sealed and had a strong odor when I first opened it so I let it air out some before putting it down for the puppy. (Amazon turns my photos sideways)

Our old cat loves this. In fact he loves it so much he demanded we buy another one for upstairs. So as not to incur the wrath of Maximus, we ordered another. Hopefully he will not demand a third, but if he does, I suppose we will give in to his demands.

I bought 2 of the light blue ‘cat tents’. These are the best thing since sliced bread. Our dog has a tendency to terrorize the cats during the day when we’re not home so we have gotten in the habit of laying a hoodie or two out for them on the top of our hutch. These tents as we call them are amazing!!! They’re super soft, they’re sturdy and we put the hoodies in the bottom for an extra layer of cozy and they hardly come out of them, ever. We put them on top of the hutch and we have VERY happy kitties! I haven’t washed them yet so I can’t comment on that, but for $9 (or up depending on color) these are the best things you can buy for your kitty friends. I just can’t say enough about these little things. They’re so great!!

I am a foster Mommy for kittens and cats so I wanted something that if worst case scenario I could throw it out after the litter left, you have to sanitize the entire room and if I wasn’t going to be able to sanitize this I didn’t want to spend so much that I felt bad about throwing it out. Just used it on the first litter of 4 little ones and they are loving it. I do have two older cats in the same room and they are also enjoying this. After reading the reviews I settled on this one because of the ease of cleaning and the ability to hold up for little ones climbing all over it. One of my better purchases for the Kitty room.

As my mother always told me “Don’t judge a book by its cover”….and that’s so true for this cat bed (Tent-Igloo). It arrives folded in the box that Amazon ships it in. Then when you open it up and put in the cushion (use the word lightly) in you see how light and thin everything is made. You can see in the photo how easy the bottom of the bed bends from my cats weight. So initially I was ready to return or throw it away. Then both of my cats found it and fell in love with it. I may have to be a second one just to make peace. So regardless of what I think this its 5 stars based on how my cats have reacted.

There’s a neighbor cat who spends most of his days at my house. And sometimes his owner leaves him out all night too. So I wanted him to have a place that felt safe and cozy when he’s out there and I don’t know it. This fits perfectly under the bench on the front porch, looks good, and I hope he’ll use it. Don’t know yet, time will tell – but he could be inside while still being able to see what’s going by. I can’t imagine a kitty not loving this!!

I have a very skittish rescue cat. She runs out of the room yowling when I’m changing her litter and scares herself with her own paws walking across the hardwood floors. Said cat used to live in a shabby little dig (cardboard box from a home improvement store) that she loved, but would still run out of it and completely out of the room if anyone in the household ever came in and moved anything.This igloo was life changing for her.We originally put it down on the floor where her old house used to be. She was terrified of it for a few days and refused to go near it. Spraying it with catnip didn’t seem to help any either. It turns out, the trick was placing it on top of her furniture litter box. A few days and more catnip later, it’s become her safe house.These pictures were taken right as we were drilling some homemade cat stairs (just shelving with carpet attached to the top) into the wall of that room. Drilling. She was watching quietly from her igloo.Every cat will have different preferences, but the level at which our little scamper kitty loves and feels safe in her new house is quite miraculous for us. I would repurchase this if anything ever happened to it.

Just received this little hut in the mail! It’s so cute! Very soft, the little padding it came with is more than I expected! Good quality! Can’t wait for kitty to discover it!!! The pictures attached show size comparison. I have a 19lb Maine coon mix! If you have a large cat, most likely won’t work!
