10 reviews for OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Soap Dispenser

I’m very pleased with this dispenser. The stainless steel always looks good and just wipes off any smudges easily. The clear area at the bottom is nice to show the level of soap. A super great feature is the wide opening which is so easy to refill. With most others I always waste soap as it overflows during the refill process. The dispensing is easy with one or two hands. It does have a smaller opening for the dispensing so adding just a bit of water when refilling is a good idea – and it saves money without compromising quality.A lot of reviews talk about it leaking, and this happened during the summer with a different dispenser I had before this one, but it was only because the sun was warming it and making the liquid expand, thus causing the overflow. On those summer days, I simply moved it to a cooler spot and it didn’t leak. I have not had any leaking with this pump so far.I always am surprised at how much I love OXO products, but each one has been very well worth the price.

Was a bit reluctant to purchase this dispenser after reading some of the one and two star reviews. Having previously used other OXO products with which I have been totally satisfied, I decided to go ahead and purchase this dispenser. In fact, I purchased one for hand soap and one for dish soap and have been using them four months now. At this point I haven’t had a single issue with soap oozing out around the pumping mechanism or at the bottom seal between the stainless and glass. First few times I added water to the soap so it was easier to pump and thought this might prevent any potential leakage. I no longer add water and although I have to press just a tad harder due to thicker liquid, there still are no issues with leakage. Who knows why the issues others have had, but as for me I am completely satisfied and glad I made the purchase.

Excellent oxo product as usual. Contrary to many reviews I’ve had NO issues with leaking when using regular dish soap!! Looks so much nicer than leaving the soap bottle on counter. Easy to refill and easy to use. Nice size so holds decent amount. Highly recommended

This is my second stainless steel soap dispenser from OXO. I had the first one for about three years when I noticed that the stainless steel spout and top opening edges of it rusted. Hopefully that won’t happen again with this newer version because the entire spout and lid is made of hard plastic and rubber. I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to be available for shipment but it was worth it. So far I love it and it’s very easy to use and refill.

Replaced a motion sensor version of this soap dispenser (different brand). It kept dropping liquid. This is much better and with a soft raised pump head that is superior to the other Oxo dispense I have had for years.

I was so fed up with crappy dish soap pumps I REALLY wanted to find something different. There are a million different bottle designs out there, but it seems like they all use the same cheapo pump mechanism — you know which one I’m talking about. That pump just doesn’t work well, and it’s guaranteed to fail before too long. So, I was looking for something higher quality and more durable.I was a bit reluctant to try this pump after reading some of the negative reviews, especially since there are no photos of the actual pump. Is it just the same crappy pump under a fancy cap? I don’t want to waste $24 on another frustrating pump that’s going to be broken inside of a year. But there were precious few alternatives that attracted me, and there were a lot of positive reviews, so I gave this a go.I am so glad I did! I’ve had this pump for almost 6 months so far, and ergonomically and functionally it is wonderful.* It’s very stable on my porcelain sink. The base is broad enough to keep it from wanting to be tippy, and the rubber ring on the bottom does a great job at keeping it from slipping. The broad, flat button and light touch also contribute to stability in use.* The clear section at the bottom works very well as a sight gauge. I thought I preferred something where I could see how much soap was left in the bottle, but this is surprisingly much nicer because I find it prevents me from obsessing over how full it is and when I should add more soap. That sounds dumb, I know, but I’ve found it’s such a relief not to have to think about it. When it’s almost empty I know it, and fill it up. Otherwise, I never, ever think about it. One more thing off my mind.* And, the most important part, the pumping action is perfect! The broad cap makes it really easy to pump with a press of a finger or palm, as opposed to a tiny little button on a long post. The pump stays primed ready to dispense soap, you never have to pump it a few times to draw more soap back up to the top. It’s got a very light touch and it’s easy to choose how much soap you want: you can dispense a tiny amount with just a light press.* I am able to pick up the bottle and dispense some soap with one hand, using my forefinger to press the button. I saw that some people had questions about that. It’s really not designed for that, the bottle isn’t the right shape so it’s a little awkward feeling, but I’ve found it easy to do in the few instances I’ve wanted to do it.* No problems as yet with any leaking or dripping. Oh my gosh, the thing doesn’t drip soap from the spout! I hadn’t even thought about that until just now. That has been a real annoyance with prior cheap pumps. So, after six months I am still VERY happy with this pump. I really hope it proves to be durable. It feels very high quality, so I have high hopes for its longevity. I just ordered another for hand soap — we’ll see how that goes!

I had purchased a similar soap dispenser from a high-end kitchen store which clogged every few weeks requiring a clean-out process using toothpicks and water–so frustrating! This dispenser is solid, steady, and dispenses my dish soap without clogging up at the spout. I use this at my kitchen sink and fill it with Dawn liquid dish soap. Waited a few months to write a review because I wanted to be sure it would stay clog-free and it has. Tools need to do what they are meant to do and this one does!

Not only does it look nice, but works well. I use it with Dawn dish soap and no issues. It has a nice weight to it so that it is not tipping over and the bottom does not slid. I was worried that since it was a steel appearance that it would get dirty looking easily but I have used it with wet hands and it dries up and looks nice. May be a little on the pricey side but it is perfect for me.

So much nicer looking sitting beside my kitchen faucet than a plastic bottle of dish soap. I was looking for one that could be used with one hand without having to pick it up if all you want is a “dab” of soap (which goes a long way) and this one does it. Brushed nickel perfectly matches my faucet hardware and see thru bottom is convenient for knowing when to refill.

This is a simple, chic soap dispenser and so easy to use. I don’t understand the bad reviews. Just pour the dish soap in, put the top back in and twist lightly until it locks. Soaps comes out when you press with little effort.
