Tips

If the driver cannot be recognized by computer or it cannot play cd well

- Ensure cd is placed well and not scratched.
- Ensure there is a build-in practical driver software. Or try it with another computer.
- Setting area code according to different regions, you should set region code to #1 to play USA discs.
- It’s better to use the external power adapter to increase the power if your devices don’t have enough power to support the external drive.
- Make sure your computer has a driver before using the external drive.(VLC Media Player or other player software.)

Lifesaver, my laptop does not have a DVD player and we were camping and needed one for the computer to put on the RV table for my son to watch. I found a few albums of my pictures and videos recorded on CDs and DVDs during college years. Nowadays, none of my computer have a DVD player so I had to get this one. It’s actually pretty nice. It’s super thin and light weight. Comes with a build in cable that can be tugged into the shell. The drive runs pretty quite and I was able to detect it on my computer within a few seconds. I still have a lot to go through but it’s great having access to them again. Worth it if you’re on the same boat as me.

It’s really a must have extra tool that gives you a way to use Discs CD”S and DVD”S it’s readable and rewriteable which means you can make copy’s of whatever you want to make compy’s of. It’s got 3 extra USB ports and a micro usb port as well as a large and small micro SD card reader that means you don’t have to have a clunky adapter to read an SSD card. It’s really a fantastic add on to this Computer. Hope this hepls anyone who’s interested in purchasing one.

I have used it to play various cd/dvd’s and it works great. I have not burned anything with it so I can’t speak to that. I may update this review when I burn or cojpy something. I had another, different mfg. that worked great until I took it somewhere without securing it in its box. After it was moved without its box, I could not get it to work. So it appears that care is important in dealing with these portable players.

I use LOTS of USB sticks to update machines, and to distribute software and files. I ran into a case that I need to use optical (CD) to copy media, My new laptop does not have a disc, as most are being designed.I could fix an old laptop that was a MS Vista machine, but I’d need to clean the crust of dust and recondition first.So I looked for external Optical drive, and found ORIGBELIE External DVD Drive. I could to get a bare Optical unit, or use the extra ports and card slots as a extra media hub. Make easier creation of discs and USB sticks.And use some (hundreds+) of the blank optical CD and DVD media I still have in a drawer.So I have a win-win, and easier to move/copy data. And use some of the blank discs for copying for music in my car, a 2005 Scion xA with the stock radio (and about $3000+ in speed mods, not much, but fun).I recommend the ORIGBELIE External DVD Drive if you need more USB ports, card port for SD and micro SD, and play/burn optical discs.
