My boyfriends parents and my boyfriend each have a dog from the same litter of pups. Theirs is named Roxy and ours is named Stoli and they are pitbull mixes about 11 years old. Roxy has tons of health issues, struggles to get up and move around. Stoli still runs around like a pup and although he’s slower getting up if he needs to jump up he can and will. Roxy has a dull coat and loses tons of hair, Stoli although greying has a shiney healthy coat. The both are in good loving fairly active homes. The only difference is Stoli gets Nutro Senior and Roxy does not. The quality of dog food you feed your dog makes a difference. I had been buying my two smaller dogs a much more expensive brand that was great quality and switched Stoli to it. However, when I compared ingredients they were almost exactly the same and this one even has more DGlucosamine (Min.)* 150 mg/kgChondroitin Sulfate (Min.)* and he did better on this food. We even switched my small dogs to Nutro. Sometimes you get more than you pay for!!

I’ve used this brand for 16 years with four separate dogs and it has always met or exceeded my expectations of what a above average dog food should be. Before switching to this brand I bought just the regular department store Pedigree brand. After I switched to Nutro’s lamb and rice for large breed I started to notice that Jack’s (4 year old Labrador) coat started to look very shiny and he seemed to have a lot more energy. Best of all was that after using this same brand for a year my vet said that, even though he was eating smaller portions, he was now closer to the target weight for his age (he lost weight). He was already 2 years old when I adopted him from the local pound and he lived till he was 11. I continue to use and recommend this brand to everyone I talk to. If you are thinking about getting a pet please consider adopting for your local animal rescue.

I am a veterinarian and have 2 great danes (12.5 years and 8 years) and I feed this and nutro ultra large breed senior. I like the amount of glucosamine and chondroitin (though I do supplement with more since my guys are giant and geriatric and one has had CCL surgery). The ingredients are great and Nutro is a well respected company with real science behind their diets.

My bird dog loves Nutro! He gallops with joy when I prepare his food. He has been eating Nutro for about 3 years. He is very active, alert, and an excellent guard dog of our pack. His coat is shiny and I attribute that to Nutro Large Breed Dog Food as well. Our GSP was a rescue. He was skinny with a rough tail and patchy fur when we adopted him. Now, he is a confident and beautiful dog. I often get compliments when we’re out and about.My other “big” dog was rough looking when we adopted him about 2 years ago. He was obese, lethargic, and had a dull-looking coat. This dog acted “lost” all the time. After 2 years on Nutro and lots of training, this dog is muscular, agile, and a very good “protector” of our family and property.

I have 6 dogs of all sizes from 6 lbs to 160 lbs. This food is just awesome. I have never had any of my dogs get sick or get diahrrea when I stick to feeding this food, When I started feeding Nutro my dogs had all kinds if problems from excessively dry skin, vomiting after eating, extreme itchy skin, diahrrea and every week they were at the vets for one thing or another. This is awesome food and all the problems have disappeared.

My dogs have eaten Nutro since they were born basically. I love Nutro because of nutritional value. It even works fine on my pup with sensitivities. We get the chicken and brown rice in the 35 lb bag. I usually order it on Chewy on a monthly subscription. It is about $50 a month, which I think is a decent price for a mid-range healthy food for my babies.The beauty of Amazon, however, is that there is quite often a $20 off coupon or some other form of good deal, often taking it down to $30 for a 35 lb bag. Love it.

I purchased Nutro Wholeome Essentials as an add in to Nutro Max Large Breed Adult Dog Food w/ Farm Raised Chicken because Rico likes change-ups in his diet and the ingredients really impressed me. This probably would never have happened if I never let him know that there’s such a variety of food out there in the world. Yeah, I’m guilty of letting him have nibble of this and that here and again, but since he takes meds now everyday I have to disguise the meds, which has added to the frequency of “What?!”. I know Pill Pockets are available but 10-13 pockets a day become very pricey. Anyway back to Wholeome Essentials; I noticed an overall improvement to Rico’s health. I’m not suggesting this is a cure-all but I’m very observant and I’m extremely satisfied with the addition of Essentials. His energy level is better as well and when he’s happy I’m happy. I will continue to get this for Rico, my giant fur baby.

We have used this product for some time and we are pleased with the product. It is high quality dog food, our dogs liked it and were healthy and did well on the food. The product was always shipped timely on our auto subscription. Sadly, after losing our precious elderly English Mastiff and then some time later we lost our dear elderly Saint Bernard, we were left with just our smaller breed dog and no longer needed the larger amount of this food. I thought I had changed my auto subscription but apparently I had not and we recieved a shipment we did not need due to just feeding one smaller dog now. They refunded us promptly and the process was easy and there were no issues with the process. I highly recommend the product and am pleased with how the refund was handled.

My dog looks forward to eating his meals & has normal stools. He’s dropped 10 pounds in 11 months & is a large breed, senior dog. It looks to me as if the shape of the kibble has changed but the ingredients are the same. No allergies, odor or recalls!

We started this food at the direction of our show handler! We’ve fed pro plan for years but with the new puppy the protein was too high and he started getting flat footed. In just 2 1/2 weeks there’s been a huge change in his feet. No diarrhea or soft poops. We gradually switched him over a couple Days and gave it to the bulldog and adult Dane as well. They devour it. I’m pleased with the switch and have no had a mold issue and we are in our 3rd bag. (Danes eat a lot)
