If you use Frontline Plus, this is a similar product. We live in the humid south, and there is no escaping the fleas & ticks. We begin treatment early spring (now) & maintain it all summer long, well into fall, to keep from dealing with fleas & ticks. We have cats and this product is NOT TO BE USED ON CATS.We have two dogs that weigh between 45-88 lbs, and one treatment will last one dog one month. This package has a 3 month supply or 3 units.Yes, its expensive. Effective flea & tick treatment is expensive. There is no way around it.We also switch up brands every few years or so because mosquitos build resistance to flea treatments. Been there done that.I recommend this product for your monthly flea & tick treatment needs, for your dogs that weigh 45/88 lbs.

I bought this for my fur baby and it was incredibly fast working and now He’s tick and flea free.

We like to take walks in the woods and my dog seems to get a lot of ticks if we don’t use treatment. He also has super thick fur so they are hard to see until they are big and fat. This has the ingredient i trust which is Fipronil. They will kills fleas fast if needed. When I rescued my dog nine years ago, the poor thing was infested in fleas. We used the same ingredients and the fell off him within five minutes. I would never waste my money on anything else.

We have some neighbors who help support some neighborhood cats by spaying/neutering, then releasing, so our neighborhood seems to be more overrun with fleas/ticks than others. While it’s not full flea season yet, we wanted to start a regimen now for prevention. So far, this has worked well with no signs of fleas!

Our dogs have tried many different flea & tick prevention products over the years. Typically, you get what you pay for and the cheaper priced stuff doesn’t work as well. We have used CAPSTAR many times in the past. It is actually what is used by our vet so I was quite optimistic about using this NEXTSTAR product!Application was a cinch! You just break the top off a tube, part your dog’s fur between the shoulder blades and apply. It does leave my dog’s fur a tad greasy and spiky looking for a day or so where I apply the treatment. There is no offensive smell and our dogs don’t care one bit when it’s being applied. They think it’s just extra attention and of course, they always enjoy the treat they get afterwards. :)THIS IS NOT FOR USE ON CATS!!!!!!!!! There is even a warning to keep treated dogs away from cats for 24 hours! The NEXTSTAR kills fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, chewing lice, flea eggs, flea pupae, and flea larvae!!! If you have outdoor pets here in the south, flea and tick prevention is a MUST!The fact that it’s waterproof is a plus. Our dogs are indoor/outdoor dogs. They live inside with us but love to go outside to play, walk, etc. They are always getting into something and we do let them swim when we go hiking. We applied this product to our large dog and she hasn’t been scratching or itching at all. She is quite sensitive to flea bites so I would know if they were biting her. She obsessively bites and chews the affected area and since she is white, you can really see her poor, red sensitive skin. The price is about average for a 3-month supply and so far, it is working well! Flea season has already started here so being proactive is a must unless we want fleas invading our home! (been there, done that!)

I’ve used this product on my dogs before and it’s always worked fine. I just put these doses on two days ago, and all is well. No fleas, no ticks, no itching. Here in Florida, we have to treat our dogs and cats year round. We don’t get a break in the winter. Anytime I can get a price break, I will absolutely take it.Someone brought up that this doesn’t talk about deer ticks, but we live in an area with a fairly large population of them, and have never found any on the dogs after treatment with NEXSTAR. Those kind of ticks are tiny little things, but we have found them on all our animals if they get overdue for treatment, so I know they’re here.I’m kind of confused as to why this carries a warning about treated dogs near cats when Frontline Plus has the exact same ingredients and doesn’t mention it. I’d prefer the company that is honest with me about the risks, so that I can take precautions the first day after treatment. NEXSTAR will get my money, just for the honesty.

One of my dogs was having hot spots on his back and was chewing himself. The fleas on him were causing skin issues. I have been giving him Nextstar for the past three months and he is much better! he is scratching much less and his hair is regrowing. Her coat is also looking shinier but that may also be due to what I feed her. Overall, she is much more comfortable without those pesky fleas and can sleep in peace.

We aren’t really into the warmer mo tha yet and actively combating fleas, but we used this on our dog awhile for when the time comes and then of course will keep up with treatment as always. So while I can’t say yet that it does work well against fleas and ticks, I do know that it hasn’t caused him any irritations. Sometimes the medication makes the area where applied rashy or irritated, so itsgood to at least see that it is not an issue with this one.

I try to switch my pet’s flea meds each flea season so the fleas don’t become immune to any certain one. So the offer to try this came up & I took it. So far, so good, although we are early in flea season. I hadn’t tried this brand before. It seems good, and affordable.

I have a 82 pound German shepherd mix. We recently went on a vacation and left the dog with some family. When we got home we discovered that she came home with some unwanted guests; fleas. I usually use Front Line plus but wanted to give this a try. It has similar ingredients and applied the same way. Within 24 hours my dog has stopped scratching!! I’m very satisfied.
