Like many of us, I’m now doing multiple ZOOM meetings every day. As a business executive, I want to present as professional of an appearance as possible when I do them. My office has too much backlighting which made my face look dark and shadowy. These lights are perfect to fix that issue. I get just the perfect amount of face lighting and I look like a pro.The adjustable intensity is an important feature as the lighting requirements vary depending on ambient lighting during the day or night. The stands are very stable and offer plenty of adjustment. I suppose if you have a wobbly desk, they might not be as stable.PRO TIP: I used double-sided sticky tape to attach the controller pods the bottom edge of my monitors. Now they are easy to control and adjust while I’m online.Minor Complaint: The color temperature is a bit on the blue side, and the filters provided don’t really help. I bought some Color Temperature Orange (CTO) film very cheaply, cut it to fit and taped it inside the diffuser. Now it’s perfect. It would be nice if the seller had included some CTO filters. Not enough to take a away a star. Overall I am thrilled.

I used to use photography lights with traditional bulbs and they get SO HOT.Bright LED lights for UNDER $40?! Take my money! Great uses for photography/videography and USB power is a convenience if you’re somewhere without a power outlet but have USB battery chargers instead. These days a lot of extension cords have USB ports too so that’s convenient. You can watch my unboxing video on YT: UnboxAmazonASMR

These lights are great for lighting both me and my green screen! I placed both lights to either side of my monitor and I’m able to chroma key out the green screen in OBS nicely. They also helped me turn down the exposure and gain on my c922 webcam so there’s less noise in the image!

The media could not be loaded. This came in clutch for my streaming set up. No complaints whatsoever, if youre looking for cheap lights thatll get the job done, buy these.Dont expect the tripod to be a 7ft one, as long as you mount it on the desk youll be set

I do some recording and game streaming, and recently changed rooms and needed new lights. These lights were inexpensive, and pretty much perfect. (Not perfect but more than perfect for the cost)Forget expensive lighting. These things are a set of 2 and are bright. The color filters and such are just added bonuses. My criteria was that my lights needed to be LED (low power and bright color) and dimmable. They also needed to fit my desk space…which was a challenge since I have 2 32″ monitors on top of monitor stands (roughly 25 or 26″ in height). These lights can extend over my monitors without issue. The stands and arms are adjustable so not only can I change height I can change angle from various points.I ended up using one turned backward bouncing off the wall to diffuse the light for the front, then I use the other with the blue filter for lighting behind me. It’s perfect.Things I wish were better (but are far from deal breakers):The lights are USB powered, but I wish the connector allowed you to daisy chain them. The lights are versatile, but there is no cable management. (I zip tie the wire with the control to one of the legs of the base)Turning the light off then on again will allow you to keep your brightness setting (VERY GOOD) but unplugging the USB power will reset that. All of these are minor things, and for the price these lights I can’t recommend enough.

The media could not be loaded. These Neewer LED Video lights are just what I needed for my conference calls. Lights me up with only 50% intensity. They stand nearly at eye level when seated. It is locked in place by rotating the extension stick. The tripod legs are removable, leaving a foam hand grip and wrist strap. I won’t need that for my projects but someone may want to hold the light for filming. These are not big lights, they are light duty and small, for lighting small projects or video conferencing. You will also need a dual port USB charger plug.

I purchased these to help me do some desk top reviews and photo’s of various products. They are really lightweight (almost too so!) and offer a good level of brightness. The interchangeable filter colors are cool, although I have only used the white diffused light thus far. They have adjustable brightness via an inline switch and you can modify the angle of shine with a ball head joint right on the light itself. It has a relatively wide tripod style base that gives it support and a telescopic shaft that allows it to extend to a good height.I have included an example of what the lights can do, the picture is of my new camera taken in a dark room on my desk with the 2 lights shining from either side. It gives great light without being to glaring or harsh, i’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking at doing product reviews, youtube videos or just something to take quality pictures of items for social media etc…

This is an initial review, meaning that these are my thoughts on the product after only a few days.If anything happens within the next few weeks to couple of months, I will update my review to reflect things. So far so good, they seem to get plenty bright and light my face quite well.In regards to the brightness, they offer 10 levels of brightness. When turned on, you can turn the brightness up and down in increments of 10% each with the lowest level of brightness being 10% and the highest being 100% making for 10 levels of brightness. When it comes to quality of the materials, I had thought about giving three stars, but decided that for the price that wasn’t fair so I am giving four stars instead.Everything is plastic, so don’t expect anything super high quality, but as far as plastic goes, it’s more than acceptable material quality. The only metal component is the piece that connects the LED panel to the stand and the other connector at the top of the stand.I’m not sure what other people were complaining about in regards to them not being balanced when fully extended, but perhaps they were not standing them up properly or on a level surface, fully extended they stand up fine for me.However, the entire thing isn’t all that heavy, so it’s possible that if the environment you plan to put them in isn’t all that stable with wind blowing, sloped surfaces, or moving surfaces, then they most likely will fall over and I would highly suggest rigging something of your own design to grab hold of the base, and weigh it down if you plan to use them in a non stable environment. In regards to versatility I am rating them at 4 stars, they aren’t the most versatile, but they offer enough range of tilt and swivel based on the two connector pieces that you can have them shining at almost any angle, the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 in this aspect is due to their maximum height not being the tallest, and also because of what I mentioned above about the overall weight of the product.Laslty, I would highly suggest you head the specifications of the product when they state that these panels require 5v and 2.0A through USB.Connecting them to lower voltage, and lower amperage USB ports may result in the product not working right.Connecting them to USB that supplies more voltage and/or amperage than what they require that is cheaply made and does not properly downstep the voltage and amperage and thusly properly regulate the power output to only be what the device is asking for, will most likely result in you burning them out and destroying them.So I would highly recommend that whatever USB ports you plan to plug them into, you make sure that they supply at least 5v and 2.0A and that if they supply more, that they are properly built to downstep to only provide what is being asked of it by the device.I personally am plugging them into a 2 port USB wall adapter that supplies up to 5v and 2.1A but that I know is quality built and will downstep itself to only provide what is being asked of it by a device that requires less than what it can supply. If interested in what USB wall adapter I use, it is the Ailkin brand here on Amazon, and it is a 3 pack for $11.As for the filters you get the following:Two of each, one for each panel.Red, Blue, Yellow, and White. The red, blue, and yellow filters are thin and mostly transparent, allowing for light to pass through easily while coloring the light. The white however is thicker plastic that is softened white and used as a diffusion layer to diffuse the light coming out of the panel. While the white diffusion panel is in place, there is only enough room for you to slide a single colored filter in front of it, so this means that if you wanted to double up on a single color, or mix two or all three of the colors together on the light, you would have to remove the diffusion panel from the light, but that is OK because once you have more than one colored layer installed it ends up diffusing the light source by just enough that it’s not super harsh on the subject you are lighting. So to summarize:They are bright.Overall decently built for the price, but fairly light weight. You get two of them for such a low price. They are powered off of USB, making them more versatile since you can plug them into the USB ports on a PC, or can plug them into a 2 port USB wall adapter like me, making them not have to take up two power outlets with fatter brick connectors or anything like that.So all in all I give these a 5 star rating for what you’re getting and for the price, and I would highly recommend these for the entry level budget photographer if they need something quick and cheap to use, but mostly for anyone who’s on a tight budget that wants to have good lighting for either live streaming, or making YouTube videos. As stated at the beginning, this is an initial review, and if anything happens within the next few weeks to couple of months, I will update this review. Thanks for reading.-UPDATE-It’s been 7 months and they still work perfectly fine, granted, they never move or get unplugged from where I’ve had them at my desk so there’s no wear and tear from moving them around.

These aren’t the highest quality lights around. However these are dirt cheap and you get a lot of bang for your buch. I use them as up lights in my podcast studio. The stands and everything seems like low quality plastic but again for the price what can you expect. The stands also act as a selfy stick. I liked them enough to buy another set. In the photo I posted they’re at their highest setting.

We were looking for a lighting set to apply the right level of light for our green screen to remove shadows and this set did just that! We have our studio in a small room and was looking for an alternative to the large box lights. This set delivered!!
