The media could not be loaded. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I have two Bengals which are extremely high energy. Deuter uses his (2) as a way to burn off energy. In the morning he will bang on it until I turn it on. He will usually use one or the other one about 3 times a day. THIS IS A MUST HAVE PRODUCT IF YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE KITTY!I have been especially impressed with their replacement parts policy…FREE!!!!! In this video you will see Deuter abusing, with much passion, his beloved toy. Shortly after this video, a part was lost (and probably played with until it ran under something). This was the first time we couldn’t find the bottom spindle after 8 months of extensive abuse. I contact the manufacturer and they are sending both a new spindle and elastic…FREE!!!YOU JUST CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY’S WARRANTY PROGRAM! LOVE THIS!

Purchase date: 3/17/19The pictures are from about 10 minutes after I put the toy up. To say the least this cat is in love. She sits in front of it and tries to play with it even when it isn’t on (pic 4). My other cat took a couple weeks to warm up to it, but finally has come around. We are on our second set of batteries, they last longer then I thought they would. As you can see from the third picture, my cat is not the least bit gentle with her favorite toy. The forth picture shows the current state of it. Not to bad considering how hard she plays. All in all the only thing bad I have to say about it is the screechy noise it makes when she won’t let go of the string when she catches it. But even that only lasts a couple of seconds before it just goes silent. My cat says best toy ever!

Update, November 2018: Four months later, the toy has become a favorite of a 10-year-old cat kitty who’s transitioning to inside after a lifetime outdoors. He wants to kill this thing. His play attracts the bonkers kitty for whom it was originally purchased, and as a result they’re playing with one another quite nicely. They do a good 20- to 30-minute session twice a day, and that leads right to nap-nap time. Thank God.Original review:Purchased for a cat who is so inbred that she’s probably her own aunt — and thus, possessed of some stunningly weird tendencies. We found this kitty as an abandoned newborn and bottle-fed her. One would think this would create a special bond. In fact, this animal, now 5 years old, is completely bonkers. (The vet has called her “very intelligent.” What he meant to say was that she possesses weasel-like cunning and an unbreakable retribution streak that sometimes involves inappropriate pooing, with thousands of dollars thrown at pooing issue only to have her declared in perfect physical health.) She needs constant mental and physical stimulation to fend off naughty behavior. Usually that involves my shooting rubber bands for her to retrieve for hours on end, or waving a stick toy with one hand and typing with the other. I didn’t have high hopes for this gadget but figured I’d return if she wasn’t interested. Well, we’re going on 20 minutes of non-stop play. She’s out of my hair. I’m typing with two hands. I don’t have a pile of rubber bands at my feet. Friends, if this keeps up, both Nutty McNuttersons and I will be thrilled.

I have six cats that have different preferences in what they enjoy playing with such as balls, play mice, laser pen light and various feather toys. But, the one toy that 6 out of 6 approve of is the Moody Pet Fling-Ama-String. It keeps them entertained for hours. Many times they sit in line waiting to take their turn. Attached is a photo of 5 of them using it/waiting in line. I also purchased a second one as a gift for a friend. It’s so easy to install. Just insert the batteries and hang it on a door. The company also provides exceptional customer service. I guarantee your cat(s) will absolutely enjoy playing with this toy.

IF THE WHITE ELASTIC BELT STOPS MOVING: I’ve had this only 2 & 1/2 months and all of a sudden the white elastic belt stopped moving. Motor sounded normal. I read a lot of reviews here, many people praising Moody’s customer service. So I went onto Moody’s website and in very clear, easy to understand instructions, was able to troubleshoot my problem. The white belt moves around a little orange roller at the bottom. It’s so easy to pull out the bottom orange roller. There is a tiny pin on each side of the orange roller. (like little corn cob holders). My cat’s hair was wound very tightly around each pin keeping the orange roller from spinning. You’ll be amazed how much hair unravels from each little pin. That’s all it took. I also wanted to say something about my cat’s playtime. If you have ever watched “My Cat from Hell” the cat expert explains that cats have a natural cycle of hunt, eat & sleep. This toy satisfies that hunt instinct – she will peep around the door, or try to catch it underneath the door then full-on attack mode. First thing in the morning I see her sitting next to it, she wants to play before I feed her. The rest of the day she’ll swat the door to let me know she wants to play with it. She loves it so much that after she’s done playing, she lays under it upside down just letting the string hit her – it’s a wonderful product.

I would just like to chime in here and say that I have purchased many, many cat toys for my kittens over the years. Probably 70% did not live up to their expectations. This toy is way different and deserves some attention. Most cats, certainly not all cats, have a propensity for not being able to resist a string being waved around in front of them. And I have certainly spent many hours running around the house with poles with string trailing behind me, with a furry loaf in hot pursuit. The problem here is that the human in charge usually doesn’t have the desire to keep this up for more than 20 minutes or so. I would tell you that both of my felines, Hissafur and Cleo will sit for limitless time while the Moody Pet Fling-Ama-String does its thing. This is major, watch the product video and see what you think. Simple and easy the setup takes no time and you are good to go. I have never written a review on Amazon before, however, I was compelled to do so with this product. Additionally, I would tell you that I did have an opportunity to test the customer service of Moody Pet when I called concerning a roller that had been removed and lost by one of the cats, I left a voicemail and within 24 hours I received a call back from Michelle who is sending me a replacement part. An entirely positive and enjoyable experience.

Upon buying the Moody pet fling ama string cat toy I had also bought another toy the Catit Design Senses Circuit Cat Toy I had intended to return the least successful one however I like both but what amazes me is how fast she lost intrested with the Catit for the Amazon box it came in. Seems Amazon needs to make toys. After finding rechargeable batteries which this will clearly need now! My cat played with this toy so long she went to bed shortly after. She also lost interest in the Amazon box.Good aspects:Noise it makes is minimal.Speed settings are nice and still low sound.Colorful string which has my cats attention.Noise actually helped lure my cat to the toy.Sturdy enough plastic and strap to fasten toy to door.Bad Aspects:Seriously drain on batteries if not rechargeable type.Needs a auto turn off mode after a set time due to noise is so low my TV makes me forget it’s even on unless I see my cat playing with it.Overall very few downsides compared to the benefits that it has. My cat is oddly fascinated about the top where the string actually falls from. So far its ran a good 3 hours and tired my cat plenty. Good job!I was so close to making a Amazon box maze… over buying normal toys…Edit: cat still plays with it now buying two more to donate to the local shelter with a pair of rechargeable batteries!.

My two large active 2 year old tabbies still go nuts for this and they are not gentle about it. They pull out the string when it’s not on. When it’s on, they grab and hold the string while the mechanism grinds away and still the toy works. My advice: 1. Location matters. If it’s ignored in one location, try another and 2. “Retire” the toy periodically to keep it fresh for your cat.

I have 4 cats and 3 of them play with this …but it’s Momma Kitty’s favorite toy..Due to an accident a couple yrs ago she had to have right front leg amputated at the shoulder. She was the only one to have a problem and she got her toenail hung.in the string. With only having one front leg she couldn’t get her balance to get up, so I quickly got her nail out and she was back up again..and wanted right back on the toy.. she has learned now how to free herself. It only happened one other time . After 2 yrs of play the string is only 14” long instead of 24”.. the motor finally died . I decided to get a brand new one since it has been so good. It arrived in the mail yesterday.. YIPPEE. She was thrilled..

I just received the String Cat Toy so, in truth, I can’t attest to the longevity of the item however I CAN tell you that my two cats AND my dog are having a fabulous time with the String Toy.My cats take turns playing with it while my dog gives me a running review (and criticism) of the kitties antics as they play with their new String Toy.My dog Pasha: “Mom!
