I use a lot of gloves. I tend to buy the 5 pack of cheap-o gloves because they’re thin enough and also rugged enough. These Maxiflex 34-874 are like Mechanix glove strength and quality in the “shape” of the cheap-o gloves. Only the cloth is tight, stretchy, and very strong!! These 34-874 are ok on “warm” applications with quick exposure. They will definitely save the back of your hands from heat — especially where most clasp type of gloves have that opening on the outer edge of the palm. When handling our tooling that is roughly 200°F, I prefer the 34-844  gloves, which are similar to these only with lots of additional raised dots of rubber. With these 34-874 gloves, the heat soaks in (and stays) when gripping handles or handling bolts. For everything else, these are fantastic and offer unbelievable feel.

Simply the best work gloves for electricians and other trades: unmatched tactility, thin, breathable (don’t get hot unless working in blistering Sun), offer good skin protection without adding bulkiness, easy to work even with small/fine parts. Great balance of qualities, I cannot find a single thing to complain about. 3 + year user of this MaxiFlex. I also use them for may other activities including clean ups, soccer, really anything; my friend says they are great for “search and rescue”. If you want a waterproof glove, or thermal glove for snow or freezing temperatures, or a welding glove, or a glove which is abrasive or resistant to sharp blades, search for a Maxiflex glove designed for that purpose, or another brand. For a general purpose in dry weather when you need protection for handling a variety of tasks, get skin protection without really feeling like you’re wearing gloves, the Maxiflex is the best thing under the Sun; put one on your hands and don’t go by pictures. I have been working for 20 years in the trades: these gloves always go wherever I go, work or not. You should envy this level of trust :)

As a the facilities guy for a small church I do a little bit of everything, from carpentry to plumbing to pool maintenance (yeah, we got a pool!) to chopping wood. I wear out a pair of gloves every couple of weeks. These gloves don’t last any longer than the thick leather ones but they don’t wear out any faster either. And while I’m wearing these I can pick up a single screw or relace my boots. Also, when wet they don’t perform any differently. I love them! They’re comfortable, protective and allow me to still use my hands. Touch screen performance is iffy. Not a deal breaker for me though. I still wear them for everything.

It’s fantastic that Amazon started selling these to the public because you will not be able to buy these gloves over the counter at any of your typical DIY stores. These and the Maxiflex Cut gloves are the glove of choice For large-scale commercial and industrial worksites, whether it’s remodel or new construction. These super lightweight, snug, extremely durable brand of glove are the best work gloves you can get and they are so durable and so resistant to tearing, and to pointy objects, and even to cuts, that you forget they are a disposable glove, and the word disposable is used in a much different way than you are used to regarding these gloves because these are disposable maybe after 3 to 6 months of hard-core commercial/industrial work. So, 3 pairs of these gloves at the house probably will last you a year or longer I know because I work on commercial and industrial sites. Your problem will be that you’ll still need to buy a few more extra pair because you’ll find cause to use these gloves more often than not and then what you’ll start doing is forgetting them places and therefore losing them and then finding yourself needing another pair.

My husband can not live without his MaxiFlex work gloves. He is manager in the retail grocery business. He had always used the Ultimate (34-874) & loved them. While shopping on Amazon one day I saw that there were MaxiFlex gloves that were thinner and didn’t seem to last as long called Elite Ultralight Weight (34-274) and MaxiFlex gloves that were thicker and seem to outlast all others. These were called Endurance (34-844). All three seemed to be in the same price range. That upcoming Christmas I bought him a 3-pack of each kind so he would really have a chance to get a feel for them and compare them in all of his work settings. It didn’t take long for him to tell me to only buy Endurance (34-844) from now on. If they were unavailable he said he would settle for Ultimate (34-874) but under no circumstances did he want any more of Elite Ultralight Weight (34-274). The Endurance (34-844) lasted much longer and were much better protection on his hands. He still can’t get over the fact that they don’t cost 3 times the price of the others

I am a stocker at a large retail store and about 2 days a week is truck day. Seemingly endless boxes to be opened, emptied onto shelves and folded up.So if you are doing that kind of job, these are perfect, a dream come true for my fellow stockers/grunt workers out there.I was having dry hands, and just even holding a box/item, was a struggle, at times things were broken because they would slip right out of my dry hands. It became very frustrating…So i t took me long enough and finally decided to buy a pair. (Came with 3). Man, you put these on, and you already know the deal. Grips almostTOO well, to the point where I was wondering if I had a good grip on an item, and turns out, I had a lot of the item in my hand, all I had to do was lift!Stocking doesn’t have to be a pain in the a$$. These gloves, and a stretch cord for a box cutter, (where it sits at your side clipped to your belt, and you can just grab it, work and let it go). These cut my time almost in half..and made my job alot more enjoyable. As far as texting goes, you have to press down a little harder than you normal would without them on. Calling is easier, and you have to pull them off from the fingertips because they are a nice and snug fit.I’m just waiting for someone to tell me I look sexy in these gloves. I already had someone tell me about my jacket yesterday. (Pleather baby).Anyway, get these, they’re cheap, and they work and they are pretty long lasting from what I can see.

The only gloves I use for my construction work. I do electrical work, along with general manly, manual labor when roughing in wires and pipes. These gloves are excellent, light weight and thin enough for working with nuts, screws, etc. If I’m lucky, I can make a pair last 2-3 weeks, and they’re cheap enough that they won’t break the bank.

These are some of the best gloves for landscapers I’ve found. They hold up very well and are comfortable and surprisingly warm. I bought size large and turned out to be to small causing it to not hold up as well. I bought the extra large and fit is great! Also keeping your fingernails trimmed helps the finger tips last longer. I have used them for firewood and some automotive work and they hold up pretty well in those environments too. Pictures show the size of my hand

They offer a decent amount of thermal protection–at least enough to quickly pull the glove off when your hand gets too hot. You can use them to solder and flick away excess molten metal without getting burned. Do not let solder touch the unlined section of the back of the glove though as that is an unprotected area and you will get burned. They are also great for precision when you need to grip something small, or put small items together. They offer a good amount of protection from cuts as the neoprene is pretty thick. I would recommend these over every other type of work glove I have used. They do not offer any protection from cold, so look to another type of glove if that is your goal. For a general purpose work glove they are great. Do not use them as welding gloves or for high heat applications. I also would not use them when cutting or grinding as the parks may melt the backside of the glove. Use them for their intended purpose and you will not be disappointed. You can also wash them several times and they hold up great. Be sure to air dry them.

I have been a mechanic for 30 years and have just started wearing gloves. I hate losing the dexterity or sweat that seems to come along with wearing them. But, alas, I had a begun massive job of 21 days of wrenching for 10 hours a day and my hands were getting destroyed. I started with a cheaper pair that i got a Costco and they worked great but broke down and were unusable after 4 days. I theni went on to trusty old amazon and bought the highest rated glove, Maxiflex, and am extremely happy. 1 pair lasted 11 days. They are not pretty, but they are still in one piece. I bought the three pack and the other guys on the job-site took my extras. So, I got back home after completing the job and have now purchased 6 more pair of these gloves. They are way better than any nitrile glove and so far the best mechanic glove I have ever tried, and this is my 3rd brand to have tried.
