I have puchased this at least 5-6 times over the last couple of years and will continue. I switched to Kaytee NO MESS blend along with the following bird feeder (see link below for feeder)https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B005F5NGZG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -the mess was 80%-90% less. The seed itself lasts so much longer because they are actually eating it and not foraging through to find the kind that they prefer knocking most of it on the ground. SO MUCH BETTER!Also, a better challenge for the squirrels, using the feeder above they cannot chew through it because it is made of metal, easy to fill and wipe down to clean the outside.

I keep a feeder out all year ’round and I’ve not gotten a ton of birds to my feeder lately. Of course I do tend to buy just the generic bird blends from the local feed store. Well, I decided to buy this bag to try it out. WOW! Today, the birds were FLOCKING to my feeder! I mean there were chickadees, red headed woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, finches, bluejays, cardinals, etc! My bird feeder hangs just outside my office window so I can see it while I work and it was like I was living out in the boonies again with all the wildlife. I am definitely getting this again.

The Kaytee brand birdseed mixes have not disappointed me. This one was exactly as it is described–waste-free. It smelled fresh (no old funk or staleness) and the birds seemed to love it! It is a little pricier than other options (I price compared between my local pet store and Amazon–Amazon is often the better deal by a few dollars), but worthwhile for the quality and consistency in product. I’ve purchased this a few times.

The birds definitely like this stuff but I went through it in 2 days. I get a lot of birds. Too expensive for me when I go through it so quickly. I pay $26 for a 50# bag of premium seed. I’ll have to stick with that.

First of all the bag the seed is in is not resealable like the Wagner bird seed products so we had to look for a container to put it all in.Second it seems like all shells or dust and blows around my deck so I have to keep sweeping. You think you have a lot of seed but it empty shells. I have to combine it with my Wagner seed to keep it in place. The bird feeder is empty in no time because it blows away.****DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE.

The birds await me every morning, and this is by far their favorite food I provide them with. They eat all of it, truly making it zero-waste. I haven’t experienced any problems with the contents of the bags I’ve had, and the food has been a hit every time, with nothing going to waste – not a single bit of leftover debris. The resident squirrel also likes to nosh on this, and it’s really cute to see the birds and squirrel share this amicably. I’ll keep buying this because it’s indeed mess- and waste-free, and it’s so popular with the birds and squirrels.

OMGOSH…birds can be messy as they eat! For years I purchased a bag of seed at a local store. The birds would toss more out of the feeder than they’d eat. I’d sweep up virtually everything placed in the feeder. That is until I found this product. There’s very little waste that falls to the patio floor. The seed that does fall, gets picked up by other birds. It also requires less food per day (I used to do a heaping scoop…now just a partial scoop). I have settled in to this product from now on.

No mess bird food? Technically, true. Shell debris is minimal. But, until someone is so bored that they event the squirrel proof bird feeder that automatically puts little diapers on our feathered excrement bombers, birds are just a mess. Maybe I’m that bored. After all, I’m writing this review. I’ll patent the bird diapering feeder, equip it with a magic code reader, then sell the diapers! Buy my birds diapers or live with the bird poop. I’ll be the Kuerig of the bird poop world.

When this arrived from Amazon, I poured it into an empty cat litter container (a big jug with a handle), which had made it very easy to dispense (and store). So far, it has been extremely popular with house finches, sparrows, and cardinals (all of whom can fit on the tiny shelves of the feeder) and with doves and robins, who eat the fallen seed from the ground below (much of it growing wild mustard at the moment). I have a great video of a squirrel launching himself from the fence onto the feeder and spilling all the seed, as well. I have not observed any clumping or mold (I live in LA, which is humid, and we’ve had a lot of rain lately), and the birds seem to be eating everything in the mixture. I have had this for a few weeks and used about 5 lbs so far (partly because I sometimes let a day or two pass before I refill the empty feeder). I’m quite happy with this and will purchase more; it is absolutely worth it to have it delivered :)

I have been using a high quality wild bird feed mix all year, starting in the early Spring.I was aware of the pricey “no waste” wild bird seed mixes, but stuck with the less expensive regular seed mix. About 200 birds come to my feeders, so they do scatter some seed, but the sparrows seemed to be doing a pretty good job foraging amongst the seed on the ground. I started to notice that there were a LOT of black oil sunflower seeds being tossed to the ground and going to waste, and the sparrows were mostly not eating them.I finally decided to try a “no waste” brand and I am glad I did. The birds still scatter stuff but the sparrows do a much better job cleaning up a lot of the stuff tossed to the ground. In addition, it seems that the amount of “no waste” seed tossed out of the feeders is a LOT less than the regular feed.Even though it is pricey to use “no waste” bird feed it is much more cost effective than the standard seed mixes.I use this Kaytee brand of no waste seed as I trust the brand. I use the feed in both tube feeders and platform feeders.
