I decided to try this out, in great part because I was tired of constantly driving to the store for more bird food. You see, most brands in the shelves are about 50% dust, bit hyperbolic but the amount of plain dust inside bird feed brands is ridiculous.So I ordered a small bag of this to try it, if it worked I would just start ordering it regularly to show up in my door. To my surprise, there was almost no waste dust on this, but that is not the biggest surprise. The biggest surprise was how my African Gray loved it. He never eats that fast, he ate the full serving in record time!For my second order, I went for the 25 pound bag.

My Senegal seems to like the food. He gets a variety of stuff because he likes change. I try to keep Fiesta with what I give him. He is 26 now and still healthy so I guess it is good food.

Arrived next day, which I TOTALLY appreciated because I was leaving on business. My parrot didn’t like the seed- but it was NOT the product itself. My picky eater. The seed included almonds in shell, hazelnuts in shell and the “cookies” were bigger; as a result, I wouldn’t recommend for a smaller parrot. Our Ahti is a Timneh African Grey and has never even tried to crack the larger seed shells and won’t eat bigger cookies. But the seed itself arrived next day, was fresh, had no older looking peanuts, was kind of vacuum sealed and a good value….For a Congo African Grey or bigger.

Good mix with a variety of ingredients. Has these little seed balls that my birds LOVE. There are whole, in the shell, nuts that my Sun Conjure and Indian Ringneck are too small to open by thenselves, but we just take those out, and crack the shells for them.

My two 25 year-old Amazons are thriving on this food. It’s a very good mix of seeds, nuts, fruit etc. and I haven’t seen a moth since I started feeding them this. Also one of my Amazons tends to have issues with other mixes, but has no issues with this. It’s more expensive than the traditional Forti-diet but IMO it is worth it. I’ve learned to stay away from low priced parrot food from the discount stores and mix this with a good fruit pellet blend like ZuPreem. Nice to find a blend like this (Fiesta) that my parrots like and the proof is in their empty food dishes.

It has a nice mix of ingredients including seeds, nuts and other. Good range in sizes. so something new for my African Gray to sort through. For some reason unlike other parrots we have had, he does not like the hot chili peppers and just tosses them overboard.I usually add a few extra treats to his food, but this Katee’s mix is the foundation I have been with since I discovered it several years ago.

Our 35+ yr old parrot loves this bird food! Amazon sells it for such a great price, especially with Subscribe & Save! We’ve had problems with moths when we purchased this brand at a local pet store. We now freeze the bag for 48 hrs outside during the winter months or place it in our lay-down freezer during the warmer months. Moth problem taken care of!

Our Eclectus parrot Echo loves these. He’ll munch these down and when done Will actually head to the bottom of his cage to pickup the spillage. Great value and great quality.

Our African Grey parrot gets some seed daily. It is not her only food. She gets fresh food every day too and often table food depending on what we are having. We have had her 25 years. She is in great health. She is happy. She enjoys this seed along with her other foods.
