If your dog is on the cusp, choose the size that accommodates your dog’s current weight. If you have a growing puppy that may exceed the product’s weight guidelines within a couple of months, consider purchasing a smaller pack count.

How long does it take to work on fleas?

K9 Advantix II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks.

Why do I still see fleas after using K9 Advantix II?

Although K9 Advantix II kills fleas on your dog, there may still be fleas in your dog’s environment that have since jumped on after treatment. Luckily, with K9 Advantix II, new fleas are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks. As fleas die they are no longer able to stay hidden against your dog’s skin, and therefore you may also be seeing dying fleas coming to the surface of your dog’s fur coat.

Does it expire?

K9 Advantix II does not expire. Be sure to store it in the original packaging at room temperature.

What are the key ingredients?

Active ingredients are Imidacloprid, Permethrin, and Pyriproxyfen. These ingredients kill and repel fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks, including Deer ticks, American Dog ticks, Brown dog ticks, and Lone Star ticks.

Do not use K9 Advantix II on cats.

We have a 165 lb. Mastiff, and she started getting ticks (almost two a day, it was horrible!) once we moved into a new house with a dense wood for a backyard. We immediately started searching for a good tick product and settled on Advantix. It is SUPER easy to apply (just squeeze the tube) and our pup doesn’t seem to mind it one bit and never tries to lick it off, and we haven’t found a tick on her since we’ve started using this.I was a bit worried, being so large, we would have to use two doses on her, but one dose has been doing the trick with ease! We’ve been religious about reapplying every month on the nose, and it has worked AMAZINGLY. I would recommend K9 Advantix to any large dog owner that wants a tick product that will product their WHOLE dog, no matter the size!

Unlike the Liberal agenda, there are no parasites living off my dog for free. If only we could line our borders with Advantix! Perhaps we could encase Democratic Legislation and Policy with Advantix to get all the freeloader things to fall off. Ahhh, in a perfect world. For now, my pup is happily supporting himself with the help of Bayer Advantix!

I’ve been using this for years on my dog and have never had any issues like others have stated. Keeps all those nasty critters off of him! My dog weighs 74 lbs so I get the Extra Large dog one. I only apply half of the tube monthly since he hits right at the middle of the weight range. If I put the whole tube I would be over medicating him and then would probably run into some of the skin burning/boo-boos that some customers complain about…if your dog is in the middle weight range, only apply 1/2 of a tube monthly and you shouldn’t have that problem. Stuff is great for Loki!

I live in the jungles of Rus Rus, Honduras with a sable German Shepherd. I place this tick repealant on his chest and in-between his front legs, because he walks through a HIGHLY INFESTED tick area. He passes by the tall grass and gets the ticks directly on his lower chest. I KNOW the directions say to place the repealant on the dogs back, but it works effectively on the lower chest in HIGHLY TICK INFECTED jungle areas. I also use the Tick Twister sold on Amazon.com to remove any leftover ticks. My dog lays calmly while I remove any ticks, and he acts like he is getting a massage! Again, the K9 advantix II and the tick twister are great ways to keep a dog clean from ticks.

I was a Frontline user until two summers ago when my dog got fleas while visiting relatives and we could not get rid of them. Over 6 months later and we still had a problem. Treated my house, yard, other pets, over and over again, to no avail… Finally decided to try this as it actually repels the bugs not just kill them. Haven’t seen a flea or tick since. Absolutely amazing.

LONG STORY SHORT: researched hours, this is the best flea/tick control for dogs.Looked at the 3 ingredients: various militaries use 1 of the ingredients to protect against pests themselves, humans use the other ingredients for lice and other health conditions, use it directly on skin, etc.I’ve looked at several natural alternatives and other dog flea medications, but this seems like the best for the value.1. Chews: I highly doubt yeast hemp garlic chews will do anything,2. Vet’s Best Natural Spray: Im not drenching my dog in peppermint essential oils (toxic ingredient, many EOs are),3: None of the other prevention meds help with mosquitos.4. Not spending $200 every 6 months to get prescription meds from the vet when you can get this for much less.Every medication has side effects so just keep an eye out. It’s hard to choose but just make sure you feed your dog actual GOOD food and you should be fine. Better the microscopic side effect chance than getting diseases from fleas/ticks/mosquitos/etc.We all know people generally just leave reviews if something bad happens (and oftentimes its not the products fault, the top review here doesnt even make sense. Like how did this cause it? More coincidence than cause)

I rescue dogs, I will tell you this is poison putting on your dogs, so with that being said its best to do it like I do. I open up a vial pour into a empty pill bottle I then use small amounts by size of the dogs. For tiny dogs I use with a 3 Ml syringe to suck up the product from bottle about 0.25 which is small amount. The Shih tzu’s most I use 0.5. Large dogs get 1ml dogs over 50lbs. NEVER do I have fleas or ticks. And not poisoning the dogs like if you used the whole tube on them . I use the 55lb and up for dogs and cut 2 open to use on all the dogs goes far too this way. If not tick season I use Advantage which this product I can also use on cats. Same rule of thumb for measuring with my 3ML syringe. Most cats with Advantage get 0.25 ml. I buy this also in large dog size to go further.

This is a little bit on the expensive flea drop. However, the fleas have been dropping like flies. After holding one of the little dogs on my lap four hours after treatment, half dead fleas filled my lap. I was excited yet disgusted at the same time. I was going to wait and treat the animals when I got the product to treat the yard and bomb the house at the same time, but the dogs were so miserable I had to go ahead and put the drops on them. I was checking them daily and hand picking off fleas but couldn’t keep up because the dogs go in and out. It’s been three days since treatment and I haven’t found a single flea on the dogs and I know our yard is infested really bad. If you don’t waste your money on other Schafer brands of drops and go straight to the Advantix two, you will not be disappointed and you will save money in the long run.

Outstanding product. I don’t know where we would be without it. My dogs can run freely offer the leash but go into heavily wooded areas that are tick and flea and mosquito infested. This medication provides a monthly barrier against these threats. Although my two boys scratch at the site for the first few days, the discomfort is acceptable compared to the alternative……tick infestation!!!!!! If your dog ever brought home a tick nest…..I don’t have to tell you anymore. If not, don’t use hindsight, get Advantix II.

I’ve been using this for my dogs and the same brand for my cats for about a year or so. At one point, a couple of years ago, we wound up with a severe flea infestation. With 2 cats and 4 dogs, it was very stressful and unyielding.I have solid floors even, but these guys are insidious. We live in a wild and woodsy area, so there’s no let up on the fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, you name it.I was using the walmart brand “equivalent” for a few months, I missed a month and the cycle broke just as we were heading into late spring. The fleas became immune. After trying to manually fight this situation for a month or so, I finally gave in and bought the more expensive stuff. Never was there money more well spent. Before the next dose (which was necessary about two weeks later, but I held off for three), there was a marked difference. My poor, miserable babies had relief, and so did we.By the third application, and since, we are flea free. Make no mistake, these bugs ARE still around us outside, no matter what we do, the woods and wild animals in it that wander through our yard, not to mention strays, create a perpetual problem. You’d never know it by looking at my cats and dogs though, because of this.I have full confidence in this product and would recommend it to anyone.
