We have a bad mosquito problem at our house. We live on a wooded one acre lot with no standing water, but the mosquitos are terrible. Our dogs would be surrounded every time they came in. I tried some spray repellent that worked ok. When I started using K9 Advantix 2, within 3 days the mosquitos were no longer hovering around our dogs! This stuff is wonderful. We never had a flea problem, so I can’t speak about the effectiveness of that, but it works great for mosquitos. We haven’t had any ticks on the dogs this summer either!

Used this for my pit-bull Rottweiler Velka and my pit-bull lab mix Bella. It works really well, we live on a farm in Indiana and regularly take the dogs on walks through fields, woods, and high brush. They haven’t gotten a single flea yet. The application was easy, but be aware that a LOT of product is in the tube and it’s liquid not a cream, so there’s a large chance of it dripping off the side of your dog unless you apply all the way down their spine. Although I do have short haired breeds.I’m sure eventually this will stop working because the flea on the farm will start to become immune since all the other dogs here use the same product, but until then I’ll be buying this.

Bayer 9 K9 Advantix 11 Flea, Tick, and Mosquitos. Works really great on Our German Shepherd Mixed Yellow Lab. I started using this last year. I had been buying Brevecto. Way more expensive. Great price and value for your money. Plus it’s waterproof. Hope this helps anyone who is looking for a Flea, and Tick and Mosquitoes Protector for your Fur Baby. Thank you so very much to Bayer Company for making this product. Thank you so very much to Amazon for selling this product. God bless you and your families.Gwendalyn Vogel Rhome, TX

I love this stuff! It’s 1 of the only ones that actually REPEL mosquitos, fleas, & ticks. Most of the others don’t repel them, they work when the nasty little critters actually bite ur dog. (Which this does as well.) But it’s amazing to watch mosquitos fly around my dog without touching her! Last year I switched to a pill (bc it was going to last 3 months) & I paid $60 to buy it from my vet… when I realized it didn’t repel mosquitos like this 1 does, I decided I wasn’t even gonna use it & went straight back to this Advantix II. Totally wasted the money I had spent, but it was worth it since it wasn’t gonna work as well as this does! Now I know better & I’ll never use anything else.

Before switching to this product, it was almost a given that we’d spend time doing tick removal after a hike. This new dog we have is for some reason obsessed with leaping and sprinting through the underbrush, and is particularly fond of prime tick habitat. And muddy swamp water, but that’s another story. Happily, we switched to this product with her arrival, and since then we’ve had no insect troubles. Not a single tick, and no sign of fleas. One thing: when buying these on Amazon, always check for the certification sticker. Apparently, a lot of sellers peddle fakes as online products. If a deal looks too good to be true, its likely a knock-off.’

We have Golden Retrievers. We live in Southern Vermont. We have ticks here, mosquitos, and fleas. We have been using K9 Advantix II on our dogs for several years, soley during the warmer months. This year, because of an early February thaw, I had to make the purchase and application earlier than usual. Ticks, ticks, ticks. I do not like the dog on the furniture, but my older kids love to cuddle with him on their beds. I worry so much about Lyme disease for my dog, and much more for my children. Lyme prevention is the primary reason that I use this product, and I believe the product delivers. That being said, I do not apply every 30 days. It is strong. I apply every 6-7 weeks. I mark my calendar which is why I know I’m going 6-7 weeks. Our dog is right on the cusp of needing the XL Dog dose; he’s just over 55lbs, and I’ve been considering going down to the Large Dog dose in hopes of reducing toxicity exposure. I imagine that doing that may increase his need for the medicine to 4-5 weeks. I will update any dosage/application changes. Best of luck to review readers!

I love this product. I’ve been using it for over a year and I have never had one flea or tick on any of my 3 dogs. We have a lot of woods, river, wildlife and strays where I live so I’m positive it’s the Advantix 2 that’s working. No issues with lake flies or mosquitoes either which is a huge plus because my dogs don’t have a dense coat for protection. I only wish the applicator was more pointed because it’s hard to part the hair of this breed. It still makes proper contact though so I’m not going to down rate for that. Definitely works.

We order these all the time for my dog. We’ve never been aware of a tick on our dog and she gets lots of attention from our family too so we would notice if it didn’t do its job. She does seem to not like when it’s put on her. I’m wondering if it itches or burns a little because she rolls around on the floor for a minute or two after we put it on her.

I gave this a 5 star rating because I’ve always found it effective on my dogs to prevent fleas and ticks. I’ve added cats to my household and my vet told me to stop using it. If a cat lies down next to a treated dog or lies down where a treated dog was, they can absorb enough to begin showing toxic signs. While I knew it was toxic to cats, I was not aware of the chance of product transfer. IF YOU OWN CATS, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IF CATS WILL HAVE READY ACCESS TO TREATED DOGS. If you only own dogs, I have found it to be very effective for flea and tick control. I wish Bayer or Amazon would have a stronger warning than “Do not use on cats”.

I have used this for years now. On many digs my own and rescues. It Really does the job. I very much like that it repels not just kill ticks and mosquitoes. There are variant of Lyme that transmit the infection in hours. So you don’t just want to kill them after they bite. You want to repel. Same with mosquitoes and heart worm. I have used this with working dogs that are out 24/7 working in all kinds if weather.
