I have an upright that’s is only great for carpets, this is great for floors, walls, tight spots and cars. It’s easy out of the box and light weight for on the go cleaning.

1. Amazon’s price [$100] is the lowest online and in stores, buy it today.2. This vac works great as a portable crevasse tool, where large carpet vacs can not reach.3. The floor tools works great on carpet, hard floors and steps.4. Instead of the shoulder strap, I carried the vac in one hand and the tool/wand in the other.5. I may buy another vac for the second floor.6. My only negative is that this is “not a commercial” vac, since the plastic fittings would not last long for constant daily use. But for home use, take it from an engineer, this vac very well designed and made.7. In summary, buy the vac and test it at home as an excellent companion to your $300-$500 carpet/floor vac.

..before purchasing this vacuum, I read the reviews. They did not do this little vacuum justice. I just unpacked this little guy and cleaned the whole house in 2 hours (4 bedrooms)!, from chairs, lamp shades, table tops, floors, stairs and throw rugs.Carpeted stairs – this zoomed though the chore, and admit it they are a chore!!Dusting – had to hold at a slight angle because it has so much suction.Floors – the device was the right size for breezing though the bathroom floors, which I hate to do!Blinds – zipped though them no issues.Rugs – great on throw rugs and small area carpets. I have one of those dirt catcher rugs by the back door, it is a pain to clean, not any more.Every once in awhile you’ll say this is the best money I’ve ever spent, this qualifies!! I loved it so much I bought my best friend one. Now I know she’s going to think I’m crazy until she uses it!! : )The only downside is I tried to trip over the cord a couple of times, until I figured out to throw it over my back. The vacuum does get heavy after awhile, definitely use the hip strap(bought the separate carry bag). The other positive – the cord is long, I plugged it into a central location upstairs/downstairs and didn’t need to move it to clean the entire 2nd/1st floor. Now that was nice!! I can’t wait to try it on the car interior. : ) Really, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in this vacuum.Should mention I own a canister and an upright Aerus vacuum (the original Electrolux (now Aerus), not the current Electrolux brand). They clean well but if you own them you know they are heavy and it takes some effort to drag them out for cleaning. This will be a joy to grab, and it does just as good a job cleaning. Yes, I take cleaning seriously!! : )

I have had one for 30 years. Because of its light weight, it is convenient for my arthritic 90 lb wife. Although we have had other sweepers this little sweeper is our favorite as It is so nice to use. We particularly like the reusable bag of “mystery fabric” bag just shake the dirt out and put it back in place. If the bag develops a tear, you can repair it with any wood glue like Elmer’s glue or Tite bond.I purchased a second one two weeks ago comparing the two,: -the new one seems to suck stronger -the new metal wands are a major improvement- the new hose is better for use with its shoulder strap -the old one’s cord is nicer as it winds around the handle and stays there with a clip on the plug. both sets of wands connect into one for 14 foot high window frames etc. with no need of a ladder.

It’s a really nice addition to my equipment for cleaning services. Small, powerful, affordable, the only downside is that is getting harder to get replacement parts for it. I’ve been told by some people that Hoover is going to close, so just take this into consideration. I hope they stay open much longer because this is a really good piece of equipment.

this is my second one. accessories worn out over the last 10 years of weekly use, turned out to be only slightly more costly to buy a new vacuum than floor attachment, hose, etc.i think a lot of complaints about this thing are based on misunderstanding what it is for. it’s not one of those suburban home do everything with a million attachments and features and promises of happiness. its a motor, air pump, filter bag, hoses you wear over your shoulder and it sucks dirt off the ground. it makes a fair noise, and blows air out the back. (leave the door open; don’t know why it’s there, it just reduces power without quieting it any). electric motors have been around for 150 years, this is a good example of one. t’ain’t rocket science no more.it’s analogous a 1980’s Toyota half-ton pickup. plain, boring, rock-solid, doesn’t do everything, but what it does, does well. it’s not a big fat Escalade with a special purpose everything that each do only one thing, and none well. it’s a tool.i bought one after i kept seeing pro hotel staff using them. we have 1200 sq ft of concrete floors, about 150 sq ft of loop carpet. for that i bought a Hoover rug attachment. for carpet, buy a carpet tool. whatsa problem?it’s a lovely tool, not a consumer feel good product.

Love my vaccuum. I didn’t buy the disposable bags and use only the bag that is supplied (cloth receptacle). I keep my shop vac outside to periodically suck out all of the dust and clean the bag. Using this method, the vaccuum works great. I’ve tried the disposable bags but the suction power went down. I’m using this to vaccuum wood floors and mostly dust and small particles. For anything bigger I don’t think it would be powerful enough but for basic daily dusting, baseboard cleaning, etc, it works great.

I just got my Hoover this afternoon. So far, I’ve done my vents, carpeted stairs and hardwood downstairs flooring. Pros and consPros:•Good suction•Well made•Metal vs plastic hose•Great for stairsCons:•tedious to carry around for large areas•hose attachments are hard plastic, if you weren’t carful attaching it could breakAll in all the pros heavily outweigh the cons!

This thing sucks rings around the Oreck XL Pro 5. 7.5 amps vs. 4.0 amps and the bag is about 3x larger and has a re-usable/filter bag. The tools are nice, the metal pipe good, wish the pipes were aluminum like the old Hoovers of my childhood, tho. The only thing that got me is the lack of an included bag adapter, if you want to use the paper N bags in it, you must to buy an adapter, they’re <$10 here.

I love this vacuum!! It is so easy to use, light to carry around (no necessity to drag it around behind you), the suction is good, the different nozzles extremely useful and the bag easy to empty. Long may it live!!
