I’ve been slowly switching over to more natural beauty products and overall have felt like I’ve been compromising good results for better ingredients. But this mascara is the first time I feel like I’m not compromising. It’s good results AND better ingredients. How refreshing!! I used to use maybelline the colossal big shot mascara and I loved it, but I might like this one even more honestly. It gives me really great length and fullness in my lashes (see attached photo) without lots of clumps. I find it easier to use after the tube has been opened for about a week – makes it a little more solid and less likely to smear all over (that may be my own issue though).The only thing I wish is that this also came in a brown color instead of just black. Other than that, I am very satisfied with this product! I’m on my third tube (I use it every single day and replace it about every 2 months) and I’m still loving it. Would definitely recommend.

I rarely right reviews, but I’m compelled by the gods to tell you that this mascara is life-changing, in the way that you probably can’t imagine making it thru the day without a microwave or toilet paper. Yeah, it’s THAT big.First, I’m not much of a makeup gal. I’m more of a “tinted moisturizer” person but I do like my eyes to look decent for meetings and whatnot. I have sensitive eyes so lots of makeup is irritating. But…. this mascara is delicious, y’all. First, who needs a primer first? Literally everyone, apparently. Just do the thing. Swipe on the built-in primer and cool your jets for 30 seconds (perfect time to check IG or sip some coffee). Next, swipe on the mascara (opposite end of the tube from the primer)– and you will instantly have movie-star lashes.No.Joke.Here’s the highlight reel:1. OMG YES YOU NEED THE PRIMER. I don’t know what kind of wizardry this is but it just makes the whole thing infinitely better. Just let the spell work, don’t question it man.2. No clumping or glooping when you apply the mascara. It just glides on nice and smooth.3. Easy does it, ghostrider. If you want something spackled to your face beyond the forces of physics, look elsewhere. But I can personally tell you that you can go for a salt-encrusted run and you won’t have raccoon eyes (Pro Tip: apply to upper lashes only for full-sweat activities like Jousting and Slaying Dragons)4. Washes off with water, seriously. You don’t need to scrub your delicate peepers because (somehow) this will stay put during activities but slide ride off in the shower. IDK how they do it, probably elven magik or something.Why are you still reading this review??? GO BUY IT

In the past year I have become very sensitive to mascaras, even those I have used in the past. They cause burning, itching and red eye. I have been searching for a non-toxic mascara that I can wear. This mascara from Honest came up in my search and was highly rated so I ordered it. I am happy to report that it does everything it claims and looks fabulous to boot. My eyes are not irritated and my lashes look lengthened but not clumpy. The mascara is very buildable if you want more voluminous lashes but I really don’t. And it is not waterproof and easy to remove. A definite plus. I have not tried it with the primer because I did not even realize there was a primer and the other end of the wand. I will have to check that out. Nevertheless, add me to the lengthening (pun intented) list of women who love this natural, and very reasonably priced mascara.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I love this product and will be brand loyal to this one!!Lasts ALL DAY and gives my very flat lashes sooo much volume.Before finding this product I would curl my lashes and put on two coats of mascara. Now I don’t even curl my lashes! I just apply the primer and mascara & it lasts all day long with so much volume!I can’t believe this is a natural product!! I have made the switch to natural/organic make up and have not been able to find a Really good one that doesn’t smudge onto my face throughout the day or just simply does not define lashes very well.Needless to say this is the best one I have ever used even before making the switch to natural/organic.I have been recommending to my friends.You will not regret this purchase!

I think this might be my new go to mascara.I have the teeniest tiniest lashes ever, they are straight and stick out from my eyelids and without mascara I look like I have no lashes so it’s a struggle finding mascaras that make my lashes look lush.Let me start off by saying that the primer is amazing.As soon as I put it on my lashes grew over twice in length!It didn’t clump and separated my lashes like whoa( the clumping with these lash fiber or extra lengthening mascaras is always horrendous so that was a wonderful surprise), it dried in about 20 seconds and then I put on the coal black mascara.Vavoom ladies!Instant fabulous lashes.So far I have experienced zero flaking after wearing for long periods of time , it hasn’t smudged or melted when I’m dancing up a storm or getting my workout on and the length of my lashes is practically miraculous.It is not cry proof.It’s super easy to remove and doesn’t tear out any of my eyelashes though, so that’s another plus!Also, I have celiac disease and a host of other random allergies and am allergic to SO MANY products it’s ridiculous, but luckily I am not allergic to this magic mascara.I recently discovered that this doesn’t smudge on my bottom lashes either!I’m almost 40 and I have never found a mascara that didn’t smudge on my bottom lashes. I’m so oily that even waterproof ones didn’t work!I stopped wearing it on my bottom lashes for anything but photo shoots after 20yrs old because the smudging made me look like an old lady with terrible makeup skills,but now I can once again rock liner on my bottom lashes!I included a terrible picture ( I hate getting my picture taken!) and tried to crop it so you can get an idea of how amazing this mascara is( look at those lashes practically touching my brow bone!),because I know I always want to actually see the results of people using the product, so hopefully it helps. :-)Ps: I don’t have mascara on my bottom lashes in the pic as I didn’t discover it was even a possibility for me until I bought a tube for my bestie ( another oily faced queen)and she told me there was no smudging:-O

I’ve tried quite a few mascaras over the years, and this has been my favorite so far. I like the idea of the primer, but I don’t always need it to achieve the desired effect, it’s definitely a plus.This mascara gets my lashes to where they need to be with a coat or two. Sometimes it looks like I have fake lashes, even. I also like that when I apply it to my bottom lashes, the mascara doesn’t ever smudge throughout the day, which had been a big issue with other mascaras for me. Love it!The only con, I’d say, is that it doesn’t last very long. I usually use it for like 6-8 weeks before I need to buy a new one.

I first received this item as a gift and was very skeptical to try it out. I am very particular about mascara and rarely find ones that I like. I have short thin eyelashes so length and volume are very important to me.First I apply the white primer which helps to separate my lashes, condition them and prep for the mascara. I put it on both eyes, wait about 15 seconds and then apply the mascara on the other end of the tube. I like how the brush is tapered so that I can better target my inner lashes.This is the second bottle I got and even got one for my mom to try because she is also very picky with her mascara. I will never use a different brand again! It also lasts quite a while which is impressive as many of my mascaras tend to dry up quickly.

I am a green beauty aficionado and have tried A LOT of “non toxic” mascaras. I typically stay away from big brands like Honest because their standards aren’t always up to par but I was pleasantly surprised by the ingredient list. I had heard rave reviews about this mascara and finally decided to give it a try. The primer and mascara in one wand design is genius for convenience. But also for the execution, the primer and mascara work PERFECTLY together to give you amazing separation and volume. The primer is white but dries clear, and the mascara is jet black which I love. The mascara wand is silicone with defined bristles which makes for very easy separation of your lashes. The wand is also not huge, it’s on the smaller side which I actually really like because it makes it easier to maneuver and get every lash. I also have ZERO issues with flaking, smudging, eye watering, etc, it does not budge until I wash it off at the end of the day. For the money this is THE green beauty mascara to beat. And the fact that you can get it on Subscribe & Save to save an additional 15% is unreal. Do yourself a favor and try this mascara if you haven’t been happy with others or if you just need to get a new one that affordable and amazing.

I was reluctant to get it because some of the review pictures looked so clumpy and others looked great. I’m glad I gave it a try because it’s wonderful. I have really long eyelashes due to years of applying castor oil to them but they’re very light brown so I need a good mascara to show them off. Since I like keeping my natural lashes healthy I don’t use waterproof stuff that’s hard to get off. This stuff is definitely not waterproof if that’s what you want but it doesn’t smear terribly. It does leave a little flaking throughout the day but nothing severe or difficult to wipe away.The picture doesn’t do justice because I could use a phone upgrade but I took it after applying one layer. You can apply a second layer without it clumping and it adds a decent amount of volume and length.ADVICE::: letting the primer completely dry before applying the mascara makes it more likely you’ll have clumps. If you do it right after the primer it goes on nice and smooth. Applying too much primer will also make it more problematic. Too much primer AND letting it dry all the way before applying mascara = a spider on your eye. It’s not cute. Also, this isn’t my favorite style of brush but I have found that I don’t get as much of it on my eyelid with the short bristles so that’s a win.

January 3, 2022: well I got my mascara in a new box. I was hoping they didn’t change the formula but I think they did. I have had terrible flaking which I never experienced before. Hopefully this one was just a bad batch if not I’ll be looking for a new brand. :/2019-2021 OLD review:I LOVE THIS MASCARA! Seriously don’t second guess it, you need this. I use to use toxic mascara and I would need 2 to 3 different mascaras to get the results this one mascara does. Even then this mascara does it better! My eyelashes are soooo long and thick looking. I love how clean the ingredients are and how amazing this product works. I used toxic mascaras my whole life and I’ve never gotten these results. This mascara is amazing. I will always buy this and recommend it to everyone!
