UPDATE! Still a five star !!We have now purchased four of these because our foster kittens always LOVE them. For several it is their absolute go to toy and thus we send it home with them when they find their furever home.Very durable – not many toys can handle seven crazy hard romping kittens at one time.Very easy to clean and sanitize!Bought the Peek N Play when it was on sale. Definitely worth every penny and would have been a fabulous buy at regular price!Foster kittens all approved and love it! One doesn’t like the crinkle mat for inside so we were glad to see that it is only Velcroed in and easy to remove. The soft sides are very durable – these kittens are extremely rough on their toys. The soft sides make it safe for Wild little kittens that have zero sense of self preservation.Definitely a must for the kitten room.

Foster cat loved these so much she busted into the box in the middle night. They were a big hit. She slowly murdered them all.

Bought this and another set for a secret project. For the price it is a very nice kit and everything is nicely made. All three of my cats fought over the catnip fish for about a half hour and my baby CupCake ended up with the green mouse the rest of the night. Again this is a very nice selection for the price and a Brand name on top of it. I highly recommend. I bought this and another kit along with a motion camera for a project. Will update review if it applies. God Bless, Richard W.

My chubby kitten Kairo loves this thing! He plays in it all the time. He tends to enter in through the peep holes in the side like it’s the entrance but his weirdo self hangout all the time in there. My kitten likes to jump and lay on it sometimes so his has lost some height due to him constantly squishing it, but it hasn’t stopped him from going inside. It’s a great value and has held up way better than anticipated.

I had to write a review right away because my two 4 month old kittens love these so much! As soon as I took the package out of the shipping envelope, the more playful one started playing with it, cardboard, 12 mice and all. They were supposed to be for Christmas but I figured taking out 1 of each color would be a good plan.My kittens usually play with a toy for about 5 seconds after I stop moving it around but it’s been at least 10 minutes and they’re both still playing!I threw 2 near him and 2 near her. He immediately attacked one, pounced it from room to room and chose another. She chose him and the one he had but eventually chose her own. He carried one around in his mouth while playing with another.I know these will be lost behind furniture in less than 24 hours, so it’s good there are 12 in the package. We’ll ration the mice to 2 at a time from now on to put off tracking them down a little longer. They seem to be pretty good quality and the kittens aren’t destructive with their toys so they should last a while unless they end up behind the fridge! The boy hasn’t stopped moving enough for a picture, but the girl is about 3lbs for size referenceI just ordered more because the mice are all scattered and hidden. The kittens fight over the 3 they can still find and still like to carry them in their mouths while they play with other toys

I have an 10-year-old a fat boy kitty that’s had some health problems recently. He’s had a change of diet, lost some weight, and his allergies have improved. He’s starting to play again like he did when he was a kitten. We had several toys we’ve bought over the years for our kitties and the old man latched onto a random blue fuzzy mouse. I couldn’t remember where I bought it. I looked everywhere for another one and finally found it in the Hartz Variety Pack. Max loves his blue mouse. He carries it everywhere, knocks it under the couch, brings it to me with his victory meow to show me what a great hunter he is, etc. I now have 3 extra blue mice hidden away just in case something happens to this one. My other kitties love everything else in the assortment but really, it’s all about the blue mouse for us.

My cat loves these, the only toy she likes.I can’t find them in stores so these are wonderful. She places them in her food dish daily. The ones in her wet food don’t fare as well.

These “jingle balls” really have a new (2-3 month old) kitten going great guns around the house! I really think the only thing that could be improved on would to have them automatically come out from under/behind couches, dressers, etc 🙂🙃😉.A* has three items to rate about these balls. Durability, Suction & Value. Durability is, so far, great! These are coming up to 3 months old and with the exception of those I can’t currently find, they look like new. Suction: I’ll discuss this in depth in a bit. Value: Really great! The amount of balls for this small price is great!Okay, now for the BAD part of this review. As mentioned above, A* has put three items to rate on these. One, Durability – discussed above. Three, Value for money – also discussed above both of which got five stars! Finally, Two, Suction. Unfortunately, I could only give one star for this rating. I’ve tried & tried (until I looked like a Smurf) to develop a suction on these balls and the open waffle pattern just wouldn’t allow for a suction to be established. THEN a thought came to me, IT’S a waffle pattern, maybe it just needs some butter and syrup – smart, huh, surprised nobody else thought of that 😉🙃🙂. So I pulled out some of our best butter (Kerrygold) and some of our best pure maple syrup. Except for getting yelled at by my wife for making a big mess on the kitchen floor, it still didn’t work. I thought & thought about this for a good long time and FINALLY it came to me, waffle pattern, waffle maker a match made in heaven if ever there was one – boy oh boy did I feel SMART! I pulled out our Belgian waffle maker, when it was good & hot I very quickly put in a ball and promptly turned the waffle iron over like it states in the Instructions. When the light came on, I turned the maker back upright and opened it up. I think the kitten got to the ball before I could close the lid, although I didn’t see him, because the only discernable thing in the waffle maker was a bent bell – and a really gooie mess of something red & yellow – my wife yelled at me again because she thought the red & yellow goo was the ball – boy the joke is really on her, huh. I did try to develop a suction on the bell, but it just wouldn’t happen.I thought & thought & thought and then I had a real revelation. What if I wasn’t supposed to start a suction on the ball, BUT that the ball was supposed to start a suction on me! WOW, I thought, that sounds like something that just possibly might work. Just think about it, all those holes in the ball could really cause an extreme suction! Being VERY safety minded, I made SURE I had all safety equipment that might be necessary considering how much suction just might be present. Having gathered all the appropriate equipment I set out to start my experiment. With a highly calibrated suction meter and anti suction material covering my arm I, very slowly, starting the ball toward my arm. Although I could feel my arms trembling, I knew that this experiment was for the better good and a better review! It took almost 5 minutes to finally get up the nerve to actually touch the ball to my covered arm and then I very quickly pulled it away. Looked all over my covered arm and couldn’t find any indication that a suction had occurred. Finally decided that I really just needed to bite the bullet and touch the ball to my bare arm. I’ve got to admit, I was really scared. But for the sake of all reviews, I decided I’d just have to muster up the courage and do it. Once again I very carefully (and slowly) started moving the ball toward my now bare arm. The closer the ball came to my arm, the more scared I got. Finally, after what seemed like a lifetime I finally touched the ball to my bare skin. To my great relief, it didn’t stick to me, it just fell to the floor and jingled. Was the ball laughing at me? I tried again, nothing. Hmmm.I’ve come to the conclusion that these balls do NOT develop any suction AND they will NOT hold a suction either. Because of these findings I, unfortunately, must state that the suction power if these balls really stinks. It is for these reasons I had to only give one star for suction. Maybe next years model will be better!Hope this helps!

I got her first one when she was almost a year old in 2019. Starr is on her second one in 3 yrs. And it’s because she loves her tent. She has her newest one up in “our” room and her first one downstairs in the living room. She literally lays on top of this thing. And that’s why I had to get a new one because it wasn’t bending back in place. This is her second favorite toy. The first is the yellow and red ball that came with it, and literally brings it everywhere in the house. Starr is around 9lbs so she’s on the smaller side. Her head can fit through the smaller hole. Bigger cats might have a hard time. It’s a loud play tent, because of the crinkle mat. The toys are hanging from string. I cut mine off. Starr has an awful addiction to string and eating it. I absolutely will buy again.

Our youngest cat was all over me as soon as i opened the bag…she probably smelled the catnip! There are a total of 10 toys (not including the 2-part wand) in the bag:2 balls that light up with red and blue flashing LEDs; they are triggered by shock/impact and light up for about 10 seconds at a time–actually a smaller ball inside the outer ball, which means replacing a battery would be way more work than it is worth. Our youngest cat chased it a few times and lost interest, and our oldest cat was not at all interested, and a little startled by it.1 rattling bell ball. Nothing special. Neither of my cats were interested, but they never have been interested in this type of toy.1 ball/plush combo toy. a plastic ball with a bell inside, tethered by a short cord (~3″) to a plush mouse with a feather tail. both the cats were more interested in the feather tailed mouse, so we cut the cord.1 rattle/ feather teaser. The plastic cylinder has a plastic (?) doodad inside that makes it rattle….the cats love the big colored feathers, especially when used as a teaser. We tied it to a toy wand we had, and the cats love to chase it.1 rope spool. makes no noise. guess it is a texture toy? neither of our cats would touch this toy.2 feather rattle balls. a pretty big hit, primarily for the feathers. our youngest cat especially likes these, and will bite the feather and kick the ball with her back legs.2 catnip-infused plush fish. the biggest hit of the assortment…our youngest is a bit of a catnip junky, so she went pretty wild for these. there is a velcro tab (all soft loops) on the end of the short elastic cord, which attaches to the velco tab on the end of the wand’s elastic cord in a surprisingly sturdy connection. All in all, a nice assortment for a decent price that will give you a few options…especially helpful if you want to try a pretty wide variety of toys to help you figure out how your cat likes to play.
