Message to all parents on teenagers!!! Get a tracker! I wish I had known sooner, I could have caught all the lies! I never thought I was being manipulate until I got the tracker, before that, I thought I was the crazy one, over reacting and irrational. Well, the tracker proved I was far from it. My 18 year old is not the child I thought I knew. No, he is a pot smoking drug dealer!!!! and I have the tracker to prove it. All the while, he told me he needed money for gas, for school, for a hair cut, as he was asking I was tracking his dope dealing activities. Now I know, am not the fool anymore. Only issue is that I dropped the tracker in a spot and I cant retrieve it and the battery is going out. But it doesn’t matter, I got my validation and I am cutting him loose.

I bought this as a gift for my friend that really needed it. I did careful research for awhile before deciding on which one to buy. I had a few different ones that I was looking at, and was really weighing all the options. Since this was for my friend I had the added pressure not to let them down. I settled on this product for many reasons. I would definitely say that overall, this is the best unit you could purchase for the basic user like us. Super easy to set up…super easy interface and app…super easy to decipher the data. This is important for me because the person I bought it for is not a native english speaker. My primary concern was the battery life. We did the least frequent updates option (the standard on the site) and that was completely efficient at giving you the information you need. With that option, the battery lasted between 4-6 days…The entire process is pretty easy to figure it out, If you cant figure it out, the customer service is fantastic. You can tell when a company is truly trying to put out a great product. These guys are really working hard to do that. If you happen to have any questions..they get back to you very quickly. They can probably sense that some folks might be anxious to use this and they are super helpful. One tip…was concerned about the flashing lights on the unit possibly giving it away. If you buy that magnetic box for a vehicle, that solves the problem. You can’t see anything once it’s in that box. For one of hers, ..we just stuck a small piece of black gaffers tape on top of the lights, problem solved.

I purchased this tracker bc my husband and I are going through a divorce and I wanted to know where he was going. It’s very accurate and helpful. I set up the tracker online (it was so easy), charged it, and placed it in the car. I found it easier to track through the app. It’s self explanatory and thetracker itself lasted for about a week and a half before having to recharge it. Such a great buy for $50 and a $20 fee per month.

Unfortunately my spidey senses were tingling due to suspicious behaviors. I didn’t want to go off half cocked without proof so I purchased the Optimus. Instructions are straight forward. Battery lasted about 8 days on average. Put it under back seat and never had an issue with signal or anything. Suspicions confirmed. Did it’s job so that I now can do mine.

I needed a device for peace of mind to help track family while they are on their daily walks. This device works perfectly for those needs.Comparison to google maps location sharing: giving Google maps a shot made the most sense. Free, existing technology. However, it’s also terribly unreliable. There are huge gaps in time (hours) when the app might refresh to give an accurate location.Comparison to Jiobit, the new competitor with lots of marketing hype behind it: I like the design but that is just about all. It has curved edges and has the shape of car key alarm that would fit neatly into the palm of your hand. They have LOTS of positive testimonials from both tech and parent reviewers. BUT do yourself a favor and read the fine print from actual buyers. A lot of people complained in particular about the billing. The Jiobit subscription appears to be permanent, as in forever! You cannot cancel independently; you have to do so via email. And when you do, your device will stop working entirely, no chance of signing back on at a later date. Goodbye $130. The only way to keep using your device to keep paying for it.That’s when I changed my keyword search to something more simple, “GPS tracking device.“ There are a lot of results that pop up. Plenty of them are very old-school, clunky, ugly-looking, outdated technologies. Among them, you’ll also see very odd pricing structures… for example, if you want to see more frequent/accurate location updates, you have to pay more, up to $30-40+ monthly. After doing a lot of sifting, I settled on the Optimus tracker. No regrets at all.Pros:• Not a bad looking device. Very simple. Has a couple LED lights to let you know it’s working or charging.• Excellent battery life – in my case, it will run for a week before going to about 50%.• Has web based map as well as app based.• Mobile phone app is simple, intuitive, and well designed.• App will allow the creation of multiple Geo fences.• App has the ability to send text notifications to multiple phone numbers.• Device and app will allow you to choose the frequency of the location updates ranging from 10 minutes all the way down to 10 seconds… At no extra cost. (Although, the battery will drain faster at the smaller intervals.)• Cancel any time you want! Restart your subscription anytime you want. $19/month at the time of this review.• The price of the product is less than a quarter of what people are paying to get ripped off by Jiobit. If I had any wishes, it might be that the device was a little bit smaller. As it is, it has the appearance and size of a tiny remote control. But given all of the advantages mentioned above, that’stotally fine.I would recommend this!

This product helped me make a life decision. My BF wanted to move in with me, but I suspected he was still seeing an old gf on the side regularly, and turned out he was. :( But better to know before you let the guy move in right? Very easy to set up, very accurate, the battery lasted more than a week easily, probably would have lasted 2 weeks if I needed it that long, which I didn’t. It worked from inside the vehicle, in the passenger door pocket, I didn’t have to mess with the mounting at all, just put it under some McDonald’s napkins.

i bought this product because i am a trucker driver and wanted to know if my girlfriend was cheating on me while I was out working. I installed this in her glove compartment, paid the $20/month fee to activate it. I left home for 2 weeks. The battery lasted for 2 weeks straight. The GPS unit told me everywhere she was at in realtime. i was able to see the exact addresses she was going to and any friends houses she went to. I determined she was not cheating on me at all. Awesome unit! Now I can marry her lol

I bought this to keep an eye on my teen driver. It’s a small device, just a little bigger than a cigarette lighter so if you’re looking to go undetected, that’s very possible. You can’t beat it for the price. I love that it uses a Google street view so I can tell exactly where she is. The only thing I’d rather have is a live tracking feed instead of 60 second updates but I’m not sure that’s available in this price range. It holds a full charge for at least a week so I just plug it in on Sunday evening and it’s ready to go Monday morning.

As can sometimes happen, Amazon accidently shipped me a returned unit that did not include charger, cable etc.Not sure about what I should have received or what the next steps were, I called Optimus and spoke with Daniel M….and WOW did this guy step up to the plate and more!He worked over the phone with me to get the unit I received up and running right then….even though it was after 5PM his time.THEN…he offered to express ship a NEW replacement unit directly to me to make things right, with a return envelope for the unit sent by Amazon.(again…no hit on Amazon…things sometimes happen)If every company supported clients this way….and every company had members like Daniel….wouldn’t that be great!AND….not overlooking the fact that the unit works great, software works well…..I couldn’t be happier! You will not be disappointed in the product or Optimus

I bought one of these to keep track of a vehicle. Didn’t use it at first, and set it aside. When I went to use it, I had lost the directions, so I emailed the company — they emailed me back within the hour — pretty impressive. It’s simple to set up! For a totally honest review, here are all my thoughts: The tracker works well, although not exact, but that is to be expected, really. It gives you a general enough idea of where the vehicle is that you can figure it out. The movement alert is pretty touchy — goes off a LOT, maybe even if there is wind, so, when the vehicle isn’t in use, I just turn the movement alert off. I also bought the magnetic case to attach the tracker to the underside of the vehicle, and it works great! As for battery life, I noticed some complaints about it being too short — I find it lasts about 2 weeks, as promised. If you keep every alert on “on” all the time, that may wear it out faster, but I really don’t find it to be an issue. And it’s easy. I like it so well that I ordered a 2nd one, for another vehicle. And you can name them yourself, to make it easy to differentiate between them, if you have more than one. Now, I will compare it to Verizon’s hum, which I also own. The hum is much more specific on location, and has live coverage — meaning I can actually watch the vehicle travel (on the hum map). The Optimus tracker is not live — but you just have to keep pressing the “refresh” icon, and you can follow along that way. But I definitely prefer the Optimus thus far, because the hum OFTEN doesn’t work properly — I would never give the hum a good review, frankly. I’ve only been using the Optimus tracker for 6 months or so, and definitely recommend it. And their customer service is unparalleled! When is the last time you called a company and got a person on the phone (immediately!) who was kind and helpful? That’s the experience I had with the people at Optimus. I don’t write many reviews, but wanted to make sure to do this one because I’m so pleased! :)
